Contact the Admissions team/staff of both schools, they are very responsive...Got admission to both in a short time... Ug or PG?

Thanks for your response sir. Yes, they are responsive and Brandon University tuition is quite low too. However, I read some negative reviews about the school and the town of Brandon. Don't know if those reviews are honestly written.

I just need suggestions from those that are in the school or city to give me full insight about things going on around there. To your question, I'm going for undergraduate programme.

Many thanks. smiley

Well said!

I guess the SOP exists for no reason and one should never make career changes just to go get a TRV to Canada? Fallacy. Thank God gave us the brains to think for ourselves and at the end of the day, everyone would have to go by their gut instincts, listen to the sound of their own voice, not the sound of the choir. I find that gut instinct has always worked for me. Long before I read a word on this forum, I did fine and won for myself a full scholarship all expenses paid. On my way for a TRV now. I don't mean to denigrade the forum. It's important to bounce off ideas, but at the end of the day don't simply go by what you hear here, trust your instincts too. It's important to have a relationship with what you studied in the past, but by no means have no fear of making changes in your career and explain it to a VO. It is God who is in control.

Bro stop with your bickering and ill-informed posts, you are talking about things you have no experience of. People you see giving advice here are not just dishing it out for the sake of creating a post, they do it because they have an idea of how it works or have been through same situation in the past.

The lady in question asked the house for recommendations and the house is helping her out by sharing thoughts with her, you Mr. Man didn't say anything until you saw others sharing their thoughts, then you went on tackling every post on the subject matter...

There's this aura of dissent that you exude whenever you make a contribution, you want to always rub it on people's face that you know better, come on stop with your attitude, this is Nigeria, you are no longer in the US , learn to keep quiet when you have no experience whatsoever on the subject matter, and learn to respect people because the gurus you see here today have been around for over 2 years now and will be around in more years to come, but I am certain that you won't even remember this thread by September this year should you get your visa approved

Good morning house. If I won't exaggerate, I think I have sent more than 200 emails to prospective supervisors. Only one of them recently gave me green light. He told me that he would be glad to supervise me if I got funding from Nigeria. He told me that he's expecting a graduate student from Nigeria, with Nigerian funding, for the forthcoming fall.
Gurus in the house, what funding is available for Nigerian student to study in Canada? I hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree with 87% GPA. Thank you for your anticipated contributions.

Talk of humility and respect. Everyone is entitled to their opinions as far as I am concerned. It's Nigeria so I do not have a right to express my opinions? I do not know what I am saying? Lol. Time had spoken and will continue to speak.

Talk of respect and humility in your post. Nuff said. This is the problem with Nigeria. What happened to freedom of speech and expression in this country? People can't express their ideas when it has repeatedly worked for them? I studied in the U.S. on full scholarship, all expenses paid, single handedly got my visa there. Now the same thing is happening for me in Canada for my graduate studies. Yet I know nothing and my ideas means nothing and I am not allowed to disagree with the so called gurus? Please continue to ignore me. I know some are listening and I will continue to dispense all I know and learn in the process too.

Studying on scholarship doesn't change the perception on Nigerian Applicant's.... It's just like coming into JFK on an airline from a drug-prone country whether you are a professor or a celebrity CBP can pull you up for secondary inspection on their own discretion...

There you go again bragging... if you can remember clearly your first post on this thread where you solicited for people's opinion about going to do your application in another country, people here gave you variety of ways to go about your application, now you are here bragging about doing it all yourself.

This thread has helped me in so much ways I cannot express by typing it, I asked just one question before I submitted my application and they gave me different insights on things, I saw the wide range of ideas they contributed I thanked everyone and I used my own discretion to go through the path I felt was more reasonable.

What am saying in essence is that you are free to contribute your opinion to the discuss but not at the expense of always discrediting other people's opinion, because in the end it's left to whomever asked the question choose what they think is best for them.

So young man I am not denying you your right to freedom of speech, but don't use that right to abuse someone else's.

This is the last I'll say regarding this issue, so it's best we all pull the kill switch at this juncture.

Oh boy! this Americana has come again... grin, all what you see here are mere advice based on experience, this group has been here for more than 2yrs, because I joined last year when I was about applying for my study permit. when giving advice, you have to state it clear and truthfully, though it hurts @ times but it is the truth, it is now left for you to heed the advice or discard it, the choice is yours.

also, you don't have to agree with everything here, but you can display a high level of maturity by not responding to everything, I rarely respond, only when I deem it fit.

like others have said, VOs will look for loop hole to deny you, that's their job, it is left for you not to give them the reasons, and what worked for my A may not work for mr B, that's what I called favor. but in all, keep to the rules and regulation stated by the CIC and pray to God for Favor.

I agree with you Boss concerning economic immigrant's infiltration. But isn't the Nigerian system one which one who studied Hausa in the university can go on to become a bank manager? And while at this banking and financing thing, worked hand in hand with the human resources department to dish out payment and entitlement to employees? And in the process became interested in human resources because of the career advancement and upward mobility in it? I believe that is where an SOP comes into play and the burden of persuasion is on the applicant. Cheers.

I know the school is expensive with a small classroom population. You should budget atleast C$35,000 for the MBA program plus C$10,000 living expenses.

I almost applied to the school but I didnt qualify for a MBA program.

3. Passport Bio Page - showing details and photo page
4. Letter of Intent - must be original, not copied text from other sources. Please send in Microsoft Word Format only!
5. Resume or Curriculum Vitae - demonstrating work experience, explaining duties and responsibilities.
6. Scholarship Application Form - apply for Academic Excellence (if GPA 3.2/4.33 or above) OR International Student Leaders Award (if GPA is less than 3.2 - write additional personal statement) OR MBA Foundation Grant - only ONE award is given.
7. IELTS/TOEFL or Equivalent - if applicable, must show English proficiency.

Should you have any questions feel free to email or call Ina Kuqo on + 1 778 655 3702.

First change your course to a higher degree
Ensure you have thought money to cover the program and 10000 CAD for living expense even if you know you would stay with your cousin. But order your GCMS to guide you next application
