This is not fair sir. There are many rules Judges employ in their selection process.i think everyone must have broken one rule or the other. And the judges award negative marks where needed.
You not reading at all isn't fair and totally discouraging. I belive the motive of this is competition is to encourage young growing writers and not otherwise.

An upcoming writer isn't one that their story is riddled with grammatical flaws and punctuation errors.

An upcoming writer isn't one that doesn't adhere to given rules and instructions.

No one was picked because of their "already written novels". Go through their stories and you'd see why they were picked.

You don't expect the judges to pick stories that aren't worth reading just because the author is known or unknown.

Please, that mentality that the judges are being unfair should be thrown out the window.

This competition is meant to celebrate upcoming writers(writers who haven't made a name for themselves yet), and also to celebrate all the amazing and beautiful talent here.

No story is judged because of the author.
