Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State has said over 70 percent of the certificates of occupancy he signed since he assumed office belong to the Igbo community.

“I had to call the Commissioner for Lands to ask him why it was so and to find out if the indigenous population had quit the state for the Igbo,” Lalong said while commending the Igbo community when they paid him a solidarity visit at the Government House.

A statement mailed to journalists by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mark Longyen, said Lalong appreciated the Igbo community for boosting and stabilizing the state’s economy and assured them of his commitment to ensure that no Igbo or any ethnic group in the state was molested or marginalized.

Igbos will dispute it

The question is why do they invest more outside the east

They should practice what they preach

If truly agitation for Biafra is not political

You can see why they still want to eat their cake, and have it. sad This is one major reason why they want to continue staying in Nigeria, even after their Biafra is eventually granted. Anyway, that is why I like our state governors. They also have a form called "Revocation of Certificate of Occupancy." I am sure it will come in handy, after these 70% stop marching up and down to usher in their new republic. Na dat time dem eye go clear! wink

Well, the middle belt officially apologized to the igbos over the biafran war..something no other Nigerian could do.

I say we should invest there but do so with extreme cautions..once your investments is returned, get set to leave.

Fact that he signed 70% does not translate to owing 70% of real estate in plateau.

At least Plateau is not Fulani land.

Those buying land in Fulani land or North West in particular are just preparing for a party with the devil.

It's simple logic- that doesn't make them the most successful or the most populous.

Only a fool will possess a property in a strange land and not secure it, legally!

But the issue of being marginalized is always a propaganda and nothing else.
