You cannot really blame our artists. How many Nigerians can appreciate a good song with conscious lyrics? How many Nigerians can compose a simple sentence?

Lyrics don't have to be conscious to be good. The truth is that wizkid is lyrically kindergarten. It's obvious that he finds writing lyrics difficult, and he does not have to do it himself. Just get someone who can write on your team; do your freestyles and let him interpolate lyrics on them. It's very simple. He did not write his part of 'closer', it is evident. Why can't he just get someone who can on his team permanently? Big artistes do it. Rihanna can't write to save her life yet she's a respected artiste. The guy is just self destructing. I'm really disappointed in him. He's thrown away his chance to make a mark on the worldwide scene with a good album.

the brutal truth is.. The album is not even worth a 3 star, if anything, it is where it is by riding the backs of those american celebs and most especially... The producers..


I went through the album and every song sounded like a brilliant sound track with no lyrical content even the featured artist started sounding less like themselves..

I acknoledge his achievements in entertsinment but he is more of a strategist that a musical talent...

nicely said but jazz music is no where near the level of rubish nigerian artist are puting out these days, there is not a single jazz musician that doesnot know music in reading and writting..
