Hi everyone, here's a summary of my current profile;

BSc Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a reputable university in Nigeria
CGPA: 4.95/5.0 (BGS)
GRE: V158 Q162 AWA 5.0 (1 month prep)
TOEFL: Not yet
Internship: 6 months with a multinational company
Excellent Extracurricular activities (Andela and the likes)

I'm interested in learning about schools that offer full scholarships in the US. I've being doing some research for months about this, and am currently applying to one of the ivy league. I would also like to know some ambitious, moderate, and safe schools that I can consider for fall 2018 intake or applications.

Make sure to include UT Austin. You'd have to apply early to be considered for funding though.

Thank you so much. How do I defer it when I don't i20. I am supposed to balance her 150k.any suggestions. I am most grateful for all the responses . God bless
As timi1990 said, contact the school directly if you have a way and ask for the deferment yourself. Some schools might ask for a new application fee and some will not. When your admission is deferred the school will issue a new i20 and so the one given to the agent will be irrelevant as it's the new i20 that you will use to apply for visa. Do the whole process yourself. You are a student you can do it. Just always ask questions when confused and you will get help. I have heard more bad tales about agents than good. Who agent epp?

i would like to know how i can over come my fear at the point of entry.

i mailed my school that i will be coming on the 26th of this month(arriving new York on the 27th), that i will visit a friend in another state in US before resuming to the school in August (the official date of resumption is 15th of August),

I Inform the school not come to welcome/pick me at the airport that my friend will there for me. At-least b4 academic rigor start again, i should cool off with friends en family a little.
my question is HOW WILL I AVOID HAVING ANY PROBLEM AT THE POINT OF ENTRY(POE)

I am sure you already know to have your International Passport and I-20 on your self (not checked-in travel bag) at entry.

All the best.

Check out the requirements of admittance into your program. You could start by checking out a few schools to know what is generally required.
I'd suggest some schools, but I don't know much about your field.
I am a commercial student, my WAEC Score is really good. I did very well in Commerce, Accounting and Economics. I would like to study Economics in the USA. Please, you'll be doing me a huge favor if you recommended schools I could check out for. Thanks.

I made an inquiry in the former thread about my friend whose daughter wants to write SAT.Please what's the difference between SAT 1 and SAT 11 and are both of them compulsory for somebody who wants to apply for scholarship. Thank you
Hi..
SAT I is just SAT while SAT II is Subject test(She will write two subjects here) She should do both, more chance of getting a full scholarship in a decent school.

Do you meet physically with this agent or over the phone? If you do, she should be able to allow you sight the I-20. That will even ginger you finish off the payment. If you can't sight the document and she can't snap on her phone and send to you just to view, your family might be right. She is most likely to be lying.

What to do? Close her chapter. Use this thread and others to target Spring or Fall 2018. And do it yourself this time.

All the best.

I am not applying for scholarship. I just want to take the TOEFL then apply into a school that accepts TOEFL. I have a sponsor. I just believe the SAT is a long process for me at this time.

SAT is a one day exam so how is it a long process.... sponsors can disappoint , sometimes due to not fault of them but life gbese so isnt it better to be self sufficient by having scholarship..... travelling abroad is not by visa oo. To be out of status or illegal is not as easy as it might appear from a distance. Its not fun either the tension associated with it is high

The best advice anyone can give u is if your waec is good and you are intelligent student then take SAT...read well for it .. aim for full ride scholarship and you will have a much easier 4 years experience

SAT may also come in handy during your interview. It is always an added advantage. If money isn't the issue, listen to gurus here and take SAT. It is not a long process. It is just another exam to prepare for and take.

Thank you very much. I am really intelligent, but I don't really know Mathematics that much but I think it's something I can work on. I think I have to prepare for SAT then. Please is there any study guide you can recommend for me? I will really appreciate it.

Use barron or college board study guides. They are much tougher than the normal SAT exams and if you do well in them you most definitely will do good in sat. Kaplan is another study guide but its not so tough and i would not really recommend it
