Hello All,

Please has anyone done a 12 to 16 months Masters in Engineering in any Canadian university?
Please I want to know the following

Do you have to pay the full school fees before applying for visa?

Can one get a Visa with part payment?

What are the tips to getting a Visa?

What are the chances of someone already married with kids to get a visa?

How many years work permit can one get after the program since the program is not up to 2 years?

Please someone should help me answer.
Thanks.

CIC is basically on May applicant's for GHANSTU. But there is always an exception to the rule.
It's high time you storm their office for answers.

This is not fair, we all have same intentions. They would have just flagged that online applications isn't treated for applicants from this part of the world. How can someone apply since March/April 28 with upfront medical yet no details of medical status updated. We were billed higher and online is suppose to be faster. One thing is clear here, their actions are deliberate!

Sweeping some applications under the carpet is corruption. Lol! Joke apart, some applications have stayed beyond waiting period yet they are not attended.

From my research, they are on March/April so be expecting response before the end of July.

Cheers

Please guys, dont skip this. Help me torch light this matter

I don't think u need to tell them u intend selling ur building if u haven't sold it. Well a payslip, reference letter , employment letter from ur place of work will do. then also try and submit all ur investment papers as well and it has to show that u can access those investments whenever u need them (for paying of fees and his living expenses ). if it will be possible to pay ur brother's tuition fee before he applies for his visa it will be a big plus on ur side. Also, apart from ur siblings do u have any other dependants (like children or are u married )? your brother stand a great chance of getting the visa but try and cover yr tracks when it comes to fund cos that's where my fear is, The vo will like to know how financially capable u are to sponsor ur brother and still be able to carter for urself a blend ur remaining siblings, once u can prove that u have enough of fund to do that then u are good to go. Secondly, if u can't raise such funds to cover everything(cos I don't know how much ur investment is worth) then I eill advise u get a co-sponsor that will help reduce the financial burden from u. Hope am able to touch some parts of ur questions? Gurus in the house should help here

Thanks a lot for taking out time to answer my questions.

1. I am married and have a child, but her dad takes care of her upkeep and all expenses relating to her. I just support. Also, i have another sibling who is older than him, but she is done with Uni, and working earning an average of 80k per month, so i dont av any financial obligations towards her.
2. paying the fees will not be a problem, dat can be arranged
3. As for my investments, how much shld i have? a rough estimate. I can make the funds happen. Worst case i will get from my hubby or family and have in my account.
4. I tot of the land since i dont have any landed properties myself and felt it might be a good economic tie
5. I also intend to apply for visa, so i can go with him to his school and help him settle in

Thanks

Hello bosses,

Thank you all for your wishes.

I finally got to my destination around 2am local time.

Before I forget, while waiting on the queue for my study permit.

A lady has a conditional offer to pass ESL(English as a second language). She is from one of the european countries and her school is one of the theology schools or a theology school linked to a college.

The officer, however gave her a year study permit. She said if she passes the English language exam, her permit will be extended fot the duration of her undegraduate degree. Also, she was given a work visa too(since a program has coop in it) but she cant work until she has passes the english conditions and have her normal study permit.

Also, you will be told, you cannot work until your classes start officially.

So, if you get there early, "no go dey form bravado oh, wait make school start before you begin reason work oh".

Una good morning...

1. It depends on what the school wants, but if ur school didn't ask u to pay then it's now ur decision to make if to pay or not. To be on a safer side u can pay just to clear the vo's mind on funds.
2. Yes you can pay part payment but it also has to do with what ur school says (if they will accept payment or prefer full payment ) but if they aren't forcing u to pay now then u can pay part of it just to facilitate ur visa application (azaleas to show the vo u are committed to paying ur fees)
3. The tips are normal, go to cic site and see the required documents for application made outside Canada (Nigeria in particular ) and u will see the list of documents, provide the ones that concerns u and apply.
4. Your chances aren't bad, but if u don't have ENOUGH money in ur account it will be wise and safe for u to apply alone (without ur wife and family), ur family staying back will help alot as they will serve as ur hometie.
5. I THINK it will be 1 year PGWP, while if ur program is 2 years (3 years PGWP)

Hey a question for those who have done the online route. After filling and submitting the CIC form and all your documents online, can you later add additional documents or you must submit all documents in one slew? In essence, does the online portal allow the submission of additional documents later after you have clicked the submit button and submitted your application? Or to add additional documents, one has to email that documents to CIC? I ask because I have already gotten police certificate in Nigeria and the state I lived in the USA. In addition, I need to get police certificate/clearance from the FBI because state police certificate does not cover records of crimes committed beyond the jurisdiction of the state. So my question is, should my FBI clearance come in the next four weeks( takes about 6-8 weeks to obtain), will I be able to add it online to my TRV application or I have to email it to CIC? Much appreciated in arrears for anyone who knows how it's done.

1. Since you are married let your husband
act as co-sponsor. u will also need to submit ur marriage cert as well, u and ur husband will write letter of support stating why u are sponsoring ur brother. Also state it in ur letter of support that u have another sibling but she works and carter's for herself(the vo will see it as well on ur brother's family info form).
2. It will be a good idea paying his tuition fee, u can even
make it look like it was ur husband (co-sponsor )that paid the tuition fee or part of it while u will provide the other part + living expenses.
3. The required amount will have to depend on your brother's tuition fee + atleast CAD$10,000(average living expenses for foreign student) per year.
4. Only mention the land as part of his hometie not that you intend selling it, just tell the vo your family have a landed worth so so amount and the land is meant for your brother when he is done with his studies (since he is the male of the house.....lol!), also ensure u include the papers of the land (photocopy - notarize the copy).
5. Actually you don't have to travel with him, all you need to do is sign a form cos he is a minor but if u have money then no problem applying with him. To me in other not to complicate things let him apply alone and before resumption you can contact his school to pick him up from the airport or so.

Once you submit your application, you will not be able to add additional document(s) unless any is requested. In your case, you don't have to wait till you get the police clearance( since you have the one from Nigeria and that of the state you lived in).Go ahead and submit your application, if IRCC need the clearance from the FBI, they will request for it from you and create a space where you can upload it online from your account.
