Ngozi123: Don't mind those losers. That nkemdi89 is nothing but the usual Afonja masquerading as what she isn't. Never seen a tribe so pathetic. Social media showed what a bunch of pathetic losers that Southwaaste clan are. Almost every month, there's always one of the them masquerading as "we SS or we SE". Pathetic!!! 1 Like |

Ikenna0b: Pathetic losers that have not lost a war. Pathetic losers commanding battalion on both sides strategically determining the tempo and the direction of the battle on both sides. Biafra died when Banjo backed out. Remember the number of lives lost through accidents by your people running out of Lagos in 1993 in anxiety of war. If they should try to leave North in anxiety this time around, only God can determine the level of casualty. I am joining other Nigerians to plead with Yerima and his group to rescind the decision. I trust they will do that. Psychological and intelligent warfare are carefully planned and there must be a clear justifiable reasons for fighting. You don't go to war like people without ancestral history in search of identity in the Middle East or like people whose behaviour and greediness is like a product of intercourse between human and chimpanzee in Igbo ( bush). 4 Likes |

Ikenna0b:And come to think of it, the bunch of losers here are the Ss and SE, you suffered during the civil war, till now you are being segregated because the north are yet to forgive you , what we need now is unity, and it's not negotiable. Various tribes have inter mingle so will you separate their offsprings? You have no any alternative than unity. Unfortunately the peace making and building process after the civil war wasn't handled maturely, no thanks to the no victor no vanquish slogan, creating an impression that the Igbo's are ready for another war and the awolowo policies that rendered the Igbo's penniless making them to struggle from the scratch again. |

OmoEpe:Everything is chest beating for you dimwits, given what they(the biafrans)had to work with,it was a major achievement, the fellow I quoted was the one boasting up and down about the Nigerian army's prowess, but given superior armament ,firepower ,air support and numbers, they were took to the run severally by a bunch of ''ragtag boys'',those are just the facts,so go SYH somewhere else. |

logica: When the 1954 constitution conference started, my good friend, Chief Obafemi Awolowo tabled a motion to the effect that in the new constitution, provision should be made that any state which feels like seceding should do so. I was opposed to it and said ‘no’ and said that once we have a federation, we are indivisible and perpetual.and why do u keep shooting yourself in the leg Mr. ? Asides shooting yourself in the leg, why didn't u post who won the debate ? . Well, at the end of the debate, Azikiwe was able to convince the British to put in the constitution that whoever calls for secession is into an act of treason. I think that justifies my point that The igbos represented by Azikiwe were the first to oppose secession . *modified* Now I see why we are in an argument when we were actually saying the same thing . You didn't understand my first post!! 5 Likes |

cescky: Sir, I'vw been into business since 2005, I'm sure ur basic arithmetic would tell u more. Currently im involved in over 8 projects daily. However, this doesn't mean when i find time to read news or other interesting reads i wouldn't read through. It is called Discipline my brother. We in Africa tend not to read through, but sincerely, i must encourage you to always do especially when u find it interesting. There may something in it for you to learn, especially in thia world of evolutionary trends in all spheres of civilization. Moreso, wouldn't ypu encourage your kids to develop the discipline of always reading thru write ups? I sincerely understand that you simply aimed to make fun out of it, but i also just pointed that out just to buttress the need to wake all of us up to the discipline of reading, reading, & reading. Everything good: Ideas, encouragement, vocabulary, information for business excellence & strategies, etc may be gotten from merely reading materials. Bless you bro. |

discman2k2: well said am also a very veracious consumer of books.... i like the fact that your into business, if you want test my dept in reading..i can recommend books that will not only blow your mind away but also take your business to the next level anyways this is was my point...henry ford the inventor of the motor car was once labeled an illiterate( he stoped school at primary 3) by a well schooled reporter.......ford sued him to court for defamation or i think he took ford to court to further prove he was right, i cant recall but in court he wanted to embarrass ford...so ford was in the accused stand and was asked..whose the 4th president of the united states, who was secetray general under churchhill , what is nasa etc..ford kept on answering till he got tired and fustrated...then he called the attention of the court, he told them that the business which he was inlvolved in was making motor cars and he knew more about cars than all the people on the earth as at then, and he has in his(his employess) office buttons which when he presses he can summon, the best professors in every feild of life to answere questions pertaining to their area of expertise, that what will he stand to gain by clogging his mind with general knowledge...there and then the court was shocked and they knew this wasnt the speech or thinking of an illitrate and ford won the case....my point is yes, its good to read etc, sharpen the mind, but read the right things. ie things that build you in your direction or objective in life. we cant be jack of all trades , infact research shows that the richest people in the world dedicate one day in a week to reading....thats something the poor cant get, ''the mind is a weapon'' childfren should eat books, like they do food, but once purpose is discovred, zone in that 2 Likes 1 Share |

Every book has his own different account of this incident.. The Making of African LEgend: The Biafran Story - Frederick Forsyth The Rise and fall of Biafra - Col. Chukwuemeka Madiebo (Chief of Army Staff to Gen. Ojukwu) My Command - Olusegun Obasanjo Why we struck - Adewale Ademoyega. However, I think Col. Chukwuemeka Madiebo's account was nearer to the truth |

Modsenemy: I AM AN IGBO MAN. With all confidence i wrote that. I did that to buttress my tribe before making my assertion so that whoever wants can quote me, or mindlessly insult my personal perspective to thia call for secession. Granted, if the Nnamdi Kanus call for secession is for "Political reasons " being the igbo tactics at mimicking what the Ijaws did (Niger delta fuel bonkering & bombing sabotage moves) which got them President Jonathan Goodluck, & the Arewa strategy of creating "Boko Haram " to get the President Muhammadu Buhari's gov't good. But if its simply to realize a Sovereign state of BIAFRA, I AM SAYING NO! NO!! I DO NOT SUPPORT THE POGROMS BEING ENCOURAGED BY SOME SELFISH INDIVIDUALS. This ia 21 fired Century, people are enlightened and inter married for crying out loud. You cannot force your selfish propaganda on innocent, unwilling tribesmen. We still prefer not to experience the 1967 war anymore. Our parents regrets it, and told it to ua with all sense of regrets so why exhume the Dead Horse? It shall not be in Jesus name 1 Like |

Some thing the write up did not address is the lopsided scheme of things in Nigeria, the northern oligarchy and imperialists. The enthronement of mediocrity to meritocracy. These are genuine issues been raised by an irascible KANU. The structure is wrong. |

Gotze1: The late Mrs. Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti led the Egba Women's Riot in Abeokuta in 1947. The riots led to the dethronement of the Alake of Egbaland at that time, in 1949. It was actually a series of mass protests which were completely nonviolent, and wrongly classified as riots or a revolt. The protests were caused by the system of taxation adopted by the Abeokuta Sole Native Authority under the leadership of the king of Abeokuta - Alake Ladipo Ademola, which the women found extremely strict and stifling. Under his regime, girls were expected to pay tax from 5 years of age, while wives were separately taxed from their husbands, irrespective of their incomes. https://www.thenigerianvoice.com/news/226116/funmilayo-ransome-kuti-and-the-abeokuta-women-riots.html 2 Likes |

Well, I can see that the Afonjas had turned to their cheap blackmail of secession clause, as usual. Just incase I'm not here tomorrow , and for future Igbo generation, since internet never forgets, the below threads had followed the secession clause of Afonja argument to a logical conclusion. https://www.nairaland.com/3675653//7 https://www.nairaland.com/3663093/read-1979-interview-dr-nnamdi/2#54306296 1 Like |

Kagawa10: Lol! So Nzeogwu is no longer a greedy Igbo man today? Nzeogwu was an Igbo man whose actions were misguided by his interactions with Yorubas and Arewa people. Ironsi his Igbo brother, could have handed him and his group over to angry Northern military junta that were calling for his head, but he didn't. I'm curious though, why did Afonja people have to fabricate the story of Fajuyi pleading for Ironsi life? 1 Like |

These guys are hard core, they take no prisoners. Btw, why is it that Yorubas from Ondo South and Ekiti seem to be more mature, civilized and easy going than other Yorubas While those from Osun/Oyo axis seem to be the worst and most uncouth of the bunch. I had a female friend in my school days and she doesn't have problem claiming to be Ibo yet when an Ibo guy/girl annoys her, she would say and I quote, "Ibo can be so greedy and stupid". I would just be looking at her as if she'd grown a horn. I mean the same girl who claims to be Ibo but she always claim they don't ave the same behaviours as the SE folks. Nkemdi could be one of them or maybe she's even the girl I talked about. 2 Likes |

Kagawa10: The girl in question if not an imaginary girl, conjured from your dreams, cannot be from Enu ani. Most likely from Ukwuani and Ika. And yes, Enu ani people are unique set of Igbos, every Igbo group is unique and have their distinct traits. An Nsukka man doesn't behave exactly like an Ngwa man, likewise an Ezza man doesn't behave like an Ndoki man. 1 Like |
