What is the big deal with cooking? I learnt to cook Egusi, stew and yam pottage within 30 minutes from basic instructions (without watching it being done), and they all turned out great at the first/second try, which was without any supervision.

So ladies if you can't prepare some basic Nigerian meals to a decent standard, please examine your character well.

As for my fellow men, please stop placing cooking skills on a pedestal. Cooking is not a difficult task and should not be a criterion for marriage. Everyone should know how to cook and cook well. It's a basic life skill, not a marriage skill for women.

I love this topic OP. Cooking is a hubby or passion sef. Just passing by the market and seeing foodstuff already turns on the switch. I am so proud that if a friend says she doesn't like a particular food, i tell them to taste mine first .

Cooking is not only getting ingredients and mix in a pot, but cooking and eating healthy, portion control, less artificial spice, varieties and ability to improvised and make use of whatever you have in the kitchen in order to prepare an edible meal. Learning new tricks and styles and adding creativity in order to make it appetizing, that means presentation and a neat and nice cutleries matters too. Time management can not be overlooked too.
