They'll just give you a form-like letter to fill out. You just have to fill in the details requested on the form and submit back to them. They will give you back a copy and that'll be all.

I think your ban started in 2010 when you refused to disclose the previous application in 2006. Read the last part of your refusal letter again.

What doc? Passport? Cos I was barred from entry in 2006 due to fake passport issued by immigration. I think it's OK for you to reapply. The ban should have been from 2006.

I don't know what you are going on about, his application in 2010 was refused for misrepresentation and that carries 10yrs ban and he was serving 10yrs ban at that time as well.

2. Yes, you can use your email address (I used mine). If you use your email address you would always be prompt in checking mails as against using some email for your mother inlaw where no one would be readily available to check mails.
3. I did not see anything like cost of accommodation in my case (full sponsorship); I only saw cost of trip which includes accommodation, flight, feeding and general care/maintenance. If you are prompted to say how much the trip would cost, you then have to sum up the break-downs.

As an estimate, return flight could be £600. £800 should be enough for all expenses regarding her trip. Others here can estimate for you too.

Now we want to visit the UK again, I want to know if I would have a problem cos back then I was unemployed. But now I have a farm (plantain) that I started in January however it is yet to produce so no income yet... I also visited the FIRS today and they said they is no tax on agricultural products... I have the corporate affairs document and the TIN number... So how do I declare income from it or should I just explain that the stuff is yet to produce? Or should I just put un employed since it's my husband sponsoring? Thanks

Yes you should. Just in case you need to explain why you didn't travel on the date indicated in your application.

You can travel any date within the stipulated duration of your visa. Just be prepared to answer why you are just travelling( that is even if asked at the POE). No issues I had similar issue and I was never asked any of such question cos I was composed and with confidence at the POE

If you got a visa in 2014 while you were unemployed, I suppose your other circumstances would have favoured the UK granting those visas. Though each visa application is considered afresh, your previous experience should be helpful and good use of past visa should count in your favour. As to your application, the gurus here may have other input, but I suppose you may be able to include the farmland among your properties (including the documents of ownership).

Your monthly earnings will reflect in your salary account. I don't think the date matters much, as long as it is consistent, coming from your company's account and you have your payslips.
For the extra 300k (cash or not), any departure from the regular activities in the account may call for more scrutiny. It may be worthwhile to include a comment/explanation of this inflow in a letter or in the space for additional info in your form. (It may not matter at all, if it is insignificant compared to the monthly turnover of your account, or if you spend it out of your account similar such that it does not "boost the balance".

You would do well to block off some of your personal details and not post it all here as it may not be controlled here.

I believe your sister is not your main reason for wishing to travel to the UK and I believe she is not exclusively paying for the trip; hence they may not call. But that doesn't mean another applicant in the exact same circumstances as you wouldn't have their Uk host contacted.

Your salary coming late does not matter at all; some people are paid beginning of a month (for the previous month), middle or end; as long as it is reflected in your payslip and bank statement.

As for the £300,000 non salary transfer, personally I would say avoid it. If it is money owed you, you could provide the sender an alternative account to pay into, collect it cash or defer the payment until after your visa application. Ordinarily as your monthly income is more than the £300k one off payment, it might not matter much but you would have to explain the source of it. Now, this is the trick; it is down to the ECO to see sense in your explanation or not. Instead of going through that huddle why not just avoid it...

I do not believe an applicant being fully sponsored needs to prove they have sufficient funds to fund the trip. A lot of common sense needs to be applied when making visa applications in general. For young/younger people in active employment, there is an instant red flag if their trip is being sponsored (paid for by the invitee). In this instance, it is important for the young person in active employment or business to show their invome [UKVI class this as the main tie in their country of residence and then family ties (marriage)]. general reason being that a younger person is likely to become an overstayer as they are prone to seek for "greener pastures". Now if the young person who is in employment/business has a very low income and very low savings... the ECO becomes more weary. This doesn't mean it's an auto refusal. ECO also puts into consideration relationship to the person invitee, purpose of that invitation , their status in the U.K., financial circumstances in the U.K. Someone on a low income or relying on public funds is not the ideal sponsor.

Application for an elderly/retiree being fully sponsored is treated Differently. How they are related to the UK sponsor also matters a lot and of course the financial status of the sponsor comes into play. The onus is on the sponsor to ensure there is appropriate funds/evidence in support of the application. The elderly doesn't need to supply any finance documentations as evidence.

@Biza, I somewhat agree with you apart from your last sentence. Someone on this forum recently posted the refusal letters for her mother inlaw that had low funds in her account. It was gonna be sponsored by the UK resident. The ECO stated categorically that the applicant, a grandmother even, only submitted bank statement with low funds as the only evidence of her personal/financial circumstances. Borrowing from your logic, why did they even consider her bank statement and her funds

More so, like you rightly said, a younger adult in employment has their job as their primary tie to their home country. If one's livelihood coming from their employment is from low funds, they consider that tie as very shaky. It is not auto refusal though, like u said, but you must be on point on other factors. Once the young adult is employed with relatively low income, the ECO would consider their living and scrutinise the income whether it is enough to ordinarily take care of such a one in a monthly and if it is deemed as insufficient then the ECO may not see the applicant as genuine. As you talked about common sense, what stops one with low income in Nigeria from refusing to come back to the same home country and low funds after their trip abroad, when they could hide and remain in the UK and look for illegal work This is how the ECO reasons. We do not need to reason it out with common sense but to go into the mind of the ECO and beat them to it.

A friend of mine went to TLS office to withdraw his application, hoping his passport would be returned in 2 days or less. However it took one whole week, as in 7 calendar days. It is actually ridiculous how UKVI can get away with treating people like this. Why can't they allow applicants hold on to their passport until a decision is made?

How did you get to know visas are stamped in the applicant's country of application; at the embassy? I didn't know this...

Each application is decided on its own merit. The most important factor is the ability of the applicant to show enough commitment to return weather sponsored or not. If the ECO can not be assured that your financial (sources of income) or social ties (marriage, children) is sufficient to make you return is automatic refusal. The OP had a soonsor, whereas his finances even under employment was weak, even in a stable employment. The OP must show that he/she can still be able undertake a high profile vacation in the UK using his own fund. Being sponsored is relative as there is no 100% guarantee that the sponsor must fulfill this commitment. Assuming the OP was issued a visa and something happen that the sponsor can no longer meet the commitment, will the OP decline to visit? No the OP will source of fund to make the trip anyhow. For elderly, even without employment, the ECO will normal view the relevancy of the trip, weather it is mandatory or not.

I stand to be corrected. I have never heard of an embassy allowing applicant to keep their passport until a decision is made. If you're eager to get a decision same day, pay of 24 hours service. Haba
