hi everyone

is it advisable to talk about first visa refusal from a country ie Canada when on the date of interview please your candid advice is needed as the visa date draws closer.

How is that relevant to your intended visa? Why talking about visa refusal when you are not asked? grin grin

Please house am applying to Cleveland State University spring 2018 in short the only thing remaining is payment of app fee, my question is how many weeks does it take for the admission decision to take place and do you pay tuition before arrival? Thanks
Go to the website and check for their application deadline dates. Most universities do send out the letter of acceptance or denial towards the middle of December.

No!... You would be digging a hole for yourself, cos unnecessary questions get asked.

Not just lazy, but with an inordinate sense of entitlement. The same mentality that has killed Nigeria.
Yeah, Nigeria is full of corruption especially in work places. Some folks want to get paid without doing anything.

For those who PMed me. I never went the international student route ( although I do have a few relatives who did). So I unfortunately will not be able to give concrete facts and don't feel comfortable giving you advice that i do not know to be 100% true. My sincere apologies.

My question might sound naive but please I need answers.

Am actually filing the application for wes cause I need a course by course evaluation as required of me from Morgan state university,
I got to where I was asked my mailing address ( where wes will send my report and the address can be different from where I live) I actually filled the schools address where the report can be sent.

I went on to a stage where I was asked to add second recipient(s) which could be institutions etc then I got confused, the first recipient now shows "you" with the mailing address of the school I filled ie Morgan state University

My question is, was the first mailing address suppose to be my address or the school am applying to as I did ?and secondly does wes send reports to applicants aswell? Thanks in anticipation

Please is the GRE discount still available?
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 12 by gracefoundmme(m): 5:07pm On Aug 29, 2017
RaeMystix:

My advice: Check the website yourself. There you can get more information about the intented course of which you plan to study. You can also call the registration/ admission center. You spend nothing more than 10 mins of phone. You can also do so by emailing the department.
Write down your questions before calling the office.
OK. thanks

Hello everyone, please I will like a sincere answer and whatever you say would be my final decision. I was processing a community college through a brother that happens to be an agent and due to some things have been reading on this thread regarding community college visa, I mean how hard it is to get, so I had to follow everything he asked me to do. Now I was asked to go to the American Embassy tomorrow for an international student tutorial but going there would be a lot of stress for me due to my work and again I'm not leaving anywhere close to Lagos. Now my question is, has anybody here been there before and how important is it?

Thank you.

if you're above 18 and have finished secondary school before 2016... then you're wasting your time with a community college or going to the embassy for the consultation..... if push comes to shove pick a university with 90+% acceptance rate and low tuition... at least make man go obodoyibo

Just like in the case of Canadian visa, you should indicate if you've been denied a visa before on the Ds 160 form. However, depending on how the interview goes, the VO may or may not touch the issue of previous denial. If he/she raises it, truthfully discuss everything as filled on the form and if it isn't raised, it's best to stay mute on that. You should go through past transcripts to understand how the interview usually goes.

Don't say that. You were simply lucky if what you wrote here were the actual response you gave.

Lucky?

Not so!

He actually merited it. His Dad can afford it and he knew what he wanted. The interview was very interactive, with the follow up questions it was obvious the visa interview was on course.

Congrats to the young man.

I give up grin. To be quite honest, she would have alot more tough time making it in the States, if she fails to change her studying methods....(That's if her current GPA was due to lack of seriousness),but that doesn't mean she can't make it.
I know of a lady who barely graduated with a bachelors degree in Nigeria, but is now a practing
medical doctor in the States. Hers wasn't due to laziness, but was that of spiritual problems....That was the reason for my comment.
Education is the States is neither flexible nor lenient. Its in fact quite strenuous for Africans, but the only difference is that one has a lot more access to more equipments and aids that could help in achieving a better goal, (that's if one's smart enough to make use of the opportunities given).Still it is difficult.
So whomever thinks of coming to the States with the lazy and relaxed attitude towards his/her education, then he or she does have a rude awakening coming his/ her way.

Spiritual problems, interesting!

What makes you think her spiritual problems won't follow her to yankee.

New perspective!

I didn't think of this.
My baby was 17 and just finished secondary school when she was issued F1 visa to attend a community college.

it's simple, she's young, she doesn't see a CC as escape route, and has her financials well taken care of by you, so no vo, not even the devil would've denied her.

Forget about his dad can afford it. Have had this phrase so many times.

That guy is simply lucky. Others who responded the same way got denied!

Those who are promoting CC here should continue. Maybe you don't know your action might put someone's future in jeopardy. After all, no one went with you guys to the embassy, so we don't really know if what you are saying is true or not. smiley
