If you have ever bought a chinese branded smartphone and you are now faced with purchasing another smartphone either for yourself or others, would you stick to a chinese brand or would go rather back to other mainstream brands?

Feel free to mention the brands, your experiences and reasons why you would buy again or stay clear.

I bought one nonsense Chinese fone called Kimfly M6. i regretted ever buying it cos i didn't even use it up to 2 good weeks and the memory crashed, i had to go for a panel replacement which cost me 8K.

I later gave the fone to my junior bruh cos mere lookin at it annoys me.
I bought it for 28K, repaired the panel 8K making 36K - money for a good phone tho.

Though i didn't buy the fone because i wanted to use it, I just bought it for review purpose.

To be honest, I have no reason to want to root it. My only anticipation is whether or not it will get updated to 7.0.
You can search for doogee forum online for rooting process. But you need to unlock the bootloader from developer mode to be able to root. Make sure you have the necessary should it get soft bricked. Good luck.

Virtually every phone in the market is a Chinese product. but if by 'chinese' you mean those termed by Nigerians, you have to understand that there are those that are not even known in China that are so popular here while those that are the best selling in China are virtually unknown here

Depends on the brand and model....

Besides, 85% of phones are manufactured in China....what matters is the spec. An American spec cannot be same quality with those made for the African market..

Guys, please what good phone can I buy for 30k or less? At least 8MP Camera. Battery not lower than 3000MAH, RAM not less than 2gb. Not lower than Android 5.0. 4GLTE. 16gb internal memory. An external memory slot expandable to 120gb. Thanks.

Say No to substandard phones

When they say the phone has 8MP camera, let it be 8MP not 4MP

When they say the battery is 2400mAh, let it be 24mAh.

My LG phone with 2000mAh battery lasts than my Tecno phone with 2400mAh...

LG 5MP camera clear pass Tecno 8MP camera.

You can't trust all this chinese inferior product. Xiaomi excluded and some other brands.

Say No to Tecno, Infinix, Gionee, Kimfly etc.

Xiaomi is the best Chinese phone dragging rank with Samsung... all their products are top notch... They are the only one I am gonna buy.

Samsung phones are overpriced but Apple products are worth every cent of it. And yes, Xiaomi products are great value for money.

Gionee would have been great but they don't release firmware updates. Xiaomi would have been great if they had customer care centres in Nigeria. I'll stick with overpriced Samsung for now, thank you. Not to mention I've been using my Galaxy Note 3 since June, 2014 and it hasn't packed up. I haven't even changed battery. Nokia would have been the king but they came late to the Android party. I've been using my Nokia N8 since April, 2012.
