I've noticed that a lot of Nigerian men, especially on social media always make excuses for their financial inadequacies. Instead of them to keep quiet and focus on becoming financially well off, they will reveal their financial insecurities by demonizing and lambasting any woman who says she would rather date a guy who has money. Most times you will see them making comments like "Women are hoes" Women are gold diggers." "Women should focus on love and not on the financial state of the man"
You will even see them saying that women should try to manage with a man who is earning low and should stop aiming too high in terms of the financial capacities of the man they want because money isn't all that matters.

I have also noticed that these kind of men are usually lazy. Most of their time is spent on social media arguing, insulting women and complaining about how women love money so much. And these men are usually frustrated, broke and low achievers. It's not surprising that they are in the financial state they are in. Real men who have money don't complain like they do. They know how the world works and they work hard to be financially successful and they let their financial success speak for them and attract whatever kind of women they want. They don't spend all day on social media casting aspersions on women who prefer a certain kind of lifestyle and men who understand and can provide such lifestyle.

Seriously, if you are such a man I feel really sorry for you. No amount of whining and complaining will change your condition. Leave social media and go and hustle. If you have money you won't have time to worry about what women want.

The objective of your write up is ambiguous. What are you actually driving at? Are you advising, counseling or speaking against? Organize your write-up bro.

You don't grab why they have those positions. In Nigeria the average woman is looking for a rich man even if they are mainly broke. They do this without regard for the fact that the country is still economically down and even though you hustle well you will likely end up broke. The Nigerian standard is too high for the nation's economy.
u know I'm foreign Cuz why u talk ta me like that?

U know. I think that makes them all the harder the worker.
The Nigerian women I've know of are industrious. They are the 1s owning shops and selling on the roadside, going to school to better themselves or even just working a low wage job at shop rite.

An even if in their life station they aren't wealthy, I think its OK they long for 1 who is.
They work hard an though its not produced them wealth, they aren't lazy as she said undecided

That post wasn't written by a "bro".

There is a certain way a " bro" who subscribes to the view the "seemingly entitled female" who wrote that piece would couch his words. That style was glaringly lacking.

Nairaland guys/men, just one question for y'all... do u have a problem with getting money? Cs if u don't , when someone posts something like this, u won't even get mad or try to throw indirect insults to the poster... I'm trying to get it, most of the guys here are always defensive when it comes to such posts... y are u angry If what the poster is saying is not true No honestly, ladies are becoming more hardworking than guys these days honestly with the way our future men / to-be fathers are going... no one wants to take responsibilities anymore , no one wants to be challenged... u are blaming it on the economy, no u are the one that is actually lazy. If 9ja no give u job u no go create one for urself? Even me as a lady, apart from Nairaland that I visit daily for positive info happening around the world, I don't try to stay long on social media these days Cs really there is no gain in it, I rather make clothes and get money instead.

I have always known this, When u get money, every other thing u have been searching for will come. So Men Focus on Making Money and stop gossiping and creating funny memes online, Women stop leaning on men and looking for rich men, If you are hardworking, Godfearing and Focused, u'll definitely attract the man of ur dreams. I'm waiting for negative quotes, reply nor dey finish for my mouth but to be on the safe side, stay away in order not to attempt suicide this nyt grin grin kiss

Many Nigerian men call our Women lazy not because they don't work but because we don't see the effects. In Nigeria most women including wives and gilrfriends don't contribute financially in relationships so what do we benefit from their work?

We make use of househelps in Nigeria so most women don't do heavy housechores. Moreover they go to work like the men do so men do not expect much "home service" from them like before.

Oprah, Beyonce, Alakija, even Linda Ikeji are women too and they all have one head each. The poor will always be amongst us. A woman that wants a rich husband should find one without rubbing it in the face of poor ones. How rich is rich? Where thousands stop, millions start then billions, trillions ad infinitum.

I blame slay queens. If wealth comes from hardwork alone, the guys that offload trailers of cement will be billionaires.

Besides is anything wrong if a woman is financially buoyant and spend it on men?

This very question is why I have nothing but disgust for any stupid bittch in this country that purports to be "independent", a feminist, or a proponent of gender equality. You wouldn't see them actively denounce their fellow dirty bittches who consider it culturally "normal" for men to spend on women, but they would also nag and argue against women spending on men.
