They are just joking or maybe that's how they ask girls out themselves, which is very elementary. I have never been a fan of such lines, I can't even stand those recycled jargon.

The trick that has always worked for me is join in a conversation or start up one that I can flow well in. One that would strike most males interest. Once you're able to get his interest, the flow is priceless.

I sometimes don't know why you people type like this with this silly abbreviations when it's not like you skipped nursery and primary school. Some years ago, I had an ex who used to chat like this with me and I sort of picked up the bad habit. It stopped after we parted ways cos there was no body to communicate with like that. Today, anytime I see facebook posts I made in the past with such writing pattern, I get really ashamed and embarrassed I actually wrote that... I know it's your life and your choice but trust me, it doesn't sell you a good image to someone who is reading you for the first time. Makes it look like you have a bad command/use of English and also makes it look like you're local.

Please, I'm not trying to insult you or anything of such.

The most reasonable girl I dated for three and a half years but had to leave her because the cheated on me (after all that time) bluntly asked me out. And to be fair to her (got married two months ago after stalling for almost two years with the hope I will return to her), she is still the BEST girlfriend I ever had. So u ma dear are totally wrong to say it NEVER ends well. If she hadn't goofed that bad (can't settle wit a cheating gf) we wld have been married now for sure!
