Nobody knows what the mother has been up to. But the girlfriend overreacted. This looks like anger that has accumulated over time. Someone's mother once disrespected my father, trust me I gave it right back to her disrespectfully because my father was a lot older than her. She definitely overreacted. But don't discount what the MIL may have done. This person I talked about up there will tell you one thing, and then turn around to say she has never seen you before. Just gaslighting everybody like a lunatic. The peak was when she disrespected my father. I also don't play with my parents and I am ready to damn all for my father. Some people, old or young do not respect themselves. The guy should have restrained the girlfriend and investigated the matter carefully. He has a child with this woman who can grow to hate the grandmother and him badly for this.
