I saw the format for PTE ACADEMIC today and it's really different from IELTS so I'm a bit more confused now. I'm thinking of sticking with IELTS now
I need an advice, please which will be better?
Is PTE really easier than IELTS?
It boils down to your proficiency level. A buddy saw my IELTS result and said an attempt at the pte will be smashing. Lo and behold, PTE turned out to be a piece of cake....
The basic trick is self assessment of your ability, and familiarity with test formats.

Your second attempt was better than my IELTS. I don't think you need any tip from me. Nonetheless, all I can recommend is that you improve on what you have done to get second result. Writing can be a pain in the ass, especially with an essay topic you have little or no clue about. Best regards bra

You couldn't hit 8point with this?
Must all be 8 to score 8?

No, that wouldn't fetch it.

It is not dependent on the average but the individual points from each section.

At least 6 in each gives 0 pt

At least 7 in each gives 10pts

At least 8 in each gives 20pts

Hope it clears it up for you

I learnt patience mehn! I also experienced different episodes during the wait. The last episode where I didn't care anymore and focused on other projects in my life mad a lot of sense (The earlier you got into this phase the better cos you won't have to worry about DIBP or be waking up early to check emails cheesy grin ).

Notes: I uploaded OPV initially and I thought it was in the appropriate section. Anyway, make sure you upload under the appropriate heading and NAME accordingly
International passport was uploaded under birth certificate but CO returned to ask for birth Cert again (clearly depends on your CO). Luckily I was already processing one from National Population Commission at the time of application.
Experience matters grin cheesy grin
I didn't assess experience with EA even though my Career episodes were strictly based on my work experience. Interestingly, no experience verification was done by DIBP (I had approached my HR last week to confirm. Don't know if any contact was made afterwards).

Now I can focus. Decisions will be easier to make now. Should I change car? Renew rent? Buy this or that? Apply for that job? etc. Off to prepare for some certifications before leaving. cheesy cheesy cheesy

I used both HND and OND in Building Technology. But I think tra assessed me on my OND only. But I'll suggest you include both.

However, pls and pls,as much as possible, I'll advise you insure you furnish them with an independently verifiable evidence which may include, tax receipts/ certificate, bank statement, pension docs, govt directory listing where the contact of your employer is listed, and most importantly website address of your employer.

For me, I just put enough effort required to smash the exam. About being easy, if you did so well on IELTS by preparing, you should smash PTE also. The difference is the PC.. the system was made and can surely be beaten.
