There is no time limit for that, you can move in today, get your bills running so as to use them for the visa application, I guess to get all the bills sorted and get the papers will take about a month then you can apply.
Thank you.

Dear Nairaland guru’s please kindly advise me accordingly. Have been a silent reader for long on this forum and I like how solutions are been given to various people with different issues. Am a victim of UK refusal visit visa letter after waiting patiently for four months and behold today been 20th October I collected refusal letter. I would outline what I submitted when I applied and I would want guru’s here to advise me accordingly if to re-apply or do otherwise.
DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED ARE AS FOLLOWS;
1. My company’s CAC Certificate (Company registered 2008) and also Name of directors (Am the highest share holder in the company and only signatory).
2. Gtbank Account statement of the company for 6 months with closing balance of N8, 328,021.
3. Letter of my FCMB personal savings account on fixed deposit of 15m which I re-fix back every month. (This was not captured in my refusal letter)
4. Marriage Certificate and pictures of my wife and kid while on vacation in Dubai last year and random pictures of us in Nigeria.
5. Hotel booking for the period of my stay in Uk (1 WEEK)

WHAT I FELT I DIDN’T SUBMIT
1. Visa issued by dubai last year since it was on my old passport that has expired.
2. I didn’t list places of interest I would be visiting in the UK.
3. Also I have no landed property yet but I have (2) cars and receipt of my house rent
Please kindly advice me with the following information provided above and if in need of more information kindly let me know. Thanks.

@ tapinco2017. This is a typical case of providing information without the necessary documentation to support it.

The ECO suspected that you wanted to spend company funds on a vacation without a written permission from all the owners of the company. The ECO also expected that with N15m fund you should have some properties in Nigeria as a strong financial tie. As personal ties, you claimed you have 2 kids, but you did not include their birth certificates. You disclosed that you have travelled to Dubai, but no evidence such as airline boarding pass, UAE visa/entry stamps, receipts of shoppings in Dubai. Lastly the ECO expected that if you're a tourist, you should have included an itinerary of place of interest to visit in the UK. For me the ECO had made your reapplication very easy. I will assume that the ECO is eager for your visit and spend your money grin grin grin. Just address the issues raised and you will get the visa pronto!.

Hi everyone, kindly assist give your opinion and help clarify best to go about this.
I am applying for my mum to attend my graduation ceremony in Edinburgh.
She is retired, on pension of about 28k she has the acct statement showing this. Current Bal about 28k she made a recent withdrawal of 50k from it, then another savings acct with allowance of 40k from my sis. Current Bal about 450k.
She stays in my family house. No title document just a will and letter of administration naming her and my bro. Can I add this document?
My bro names above will be the sponsor for the trip with 300k, source of income from rents on the above property. what can I state as reasons why he is sponsoring.
I already have a confirmed 2night hotel booking in Edinburgh. I intend including another hotel booking in Birmingham for 6nights.
My el sis is in UK with hubby who is a British citizen but we will not be using any documents from them hence the hotel booking not far from them. Will this be an issue? I intend to state we will be visiting them but won't be staying with them. Do I need an invitation letter from him still? Maybe stating that my mum will be visiting but will be staying in a hotel.
She will be stay8ng for just 7days cos of hotel costs. Proposed travel date Nov 13.

Documents she will use
Her acct statement 1 showing pension Bal 28k and acct statement 2 showing 40k deposits bimonthly or so Bal about 450k
Her retirement letter
Letter of administration and will
Sponsorship letter from my el bro (do we need his acct statement too?)
Invitation letter to my graduation from me
My sch ID, matriculation letter, admission letter, mail confirmation of my eligibility to grad from the uni, graduation form I used in making my grad fee payment. My acct statement
Letter of intro from my employer
My birth certificate
My sister's marriage certificate
El sis Resident card
El sis Nigerian passport renewed in UK

Anything else
@justwise & CO please weigh in and help adivce

Why not get your sister and husband involved in this? Then you can also contribute in the budget

Tuberculosis test is only meant for visas requiring stay more than six months like settlement, Work, students e.t.c. Not for visitors.

Good afternoon good people. Please I filled a family visit visa. After making the payments and printing out, I realized there was a mistake in what I filled for one of the children

Mistake: she is using her 2nd passport but I chose the option that that was her first passport.

I have already made the application payment and ready for submission tomorow.
Please how can I address this issue before tomorow? Do I need to make a new application for her and pay again? Or how do I go about this?

Other sibling applications are correct except for hers. And we need to submit together tomorow

@Ekpotek

Thanks in anticipation

I hope u included the birth certificates of all those kids, it's very important as that's a tie the ECO would be interested in. You have to write a cover letter (or amend the one you already have) and explain explicitly to the ECO that you made a genuine error on the online application form for your child (mention the child's name, date of birth and application GWF ref no) and include a copy of your child's first passport alongside other documents. Make bold the explanation to catch the ECO's attention.

Let's look at an example wording...

May I kindly point you to a genuine error in completing the online application form for my daughter, Miss *********. ********, date of birth **/**/19** with application ref GWF******. It was an oversight as it was indicated that she had only one current passport while she had a previous passport. Attached alongside other documents is a copy of her old passport for clarification. May this note indicate that it was a genuine mistake and not a misrepresentation of my daughter's true identity.

If there is a cover letter each for your daughters, then the said daughter must personalise the explanation and use the first person pronoun.

You can do that when you have paid the visa application fee for each of the participants in the group. Then go to TLS site to make the group appointment. The group appointment booked on the TLS site supersedes the one done during the online application process.

See link below (note, it is under Added Value Services)...

You are not gonna be acquiring assets now. Just include what you already have... landed properties, tenancy agreements in your name with recent payment receipts; even shares and bonds are all ties...
