In terms of lucrative jobs, STEM courses (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) are the very lucrative jobs here in the US. I can't say this enough. These are courses that qualify you for H1B work visa sponsorship should you need one after graduation. Most arts courses do not qualify for H1B sponsorship. The full list of STEM courses can be found here: thank you sir

https://www.ice.gov/sites/default/files/documents/Document/2016/stem-list.pdf

Check out the list to see which ones closely relate to mass communication for your master's degree. Since you want to study a lucrative course for your masters, the closest possible one I could find on that list are economics/econometrics, management science, business statistics, etc. Why not go for any of those? Remember, it is not just coming to America to study anyhow course, you need to study a course that creates for you a solid career in the long run.

Finally, NEVER use an agent for anything. This has been reiterated infinitesimally on this forum that it is beginning to sound like a cliche. You do NOT need them for anything. Everything you can do for yourself and everything you need you can get from just being a member of this forum. Follow this thread daily, read and act and in as little as 3 months you would know just as much as your average agent, if not more.

There are no right or wrong answers. ...someone here last fall went with his whole family at once for the interview . The wife was working though and she wanted the F2 just for visting if needed . Shortly after or almost immediately they decided they didnt want to split the family and all went together

The F2 wife and child offcourse is not working and just been together as a family. it worked out for them as they felt financially they could afford it but might not work out for others

MBA in Ohio Admission for spring 2018 is about closing in most school. You need to do an extensive research on the schools in Ohio and what the requirements are. Better to plan for fall '18.

@Justwise,
Thank you so much for the feedback.
How can one pay back Medicaid? As I have tried severally to no avail. Attempt to get information via email has proved abortive.
I doubt if you can pay back Medicaid. It's a goverment fund and the hospital got paid. I will advise you to contact the hospital if they can arrange a way for the bill to be re-billed as self pay then you can make payment arrangements. Depending on the hospital , they might refuse to go that route with you.
Medicaid doesn't have as direct payback process. Only hospital can help you

Great !!!
Am sure you got your i20 already, Go to the gtbank near you and pay for 64,000 for F1 appointment fee. Go with your passport. Book your appointment because slots get filed up fast and then make arrangements to pay your sevis fee ($200)

Please house, I applied for and gained admission in Statistical Analysis, Computing and Modelling at TAMUK, but I-20 came bearing MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS as my Major. Am a bit confused. Though have written the school and from their response, they said SACM was not found in the SEVIS blablabla so they chose the one closest to it being MATHS AND STAT. My question now is, when I go to the embassy, WHAT DO I ANSWER THEM THAT AM GOING TO STUDY and WHAT DO I ALSO FILL IN MY DS160?

QUick response wud help me as I wan book interview tonight. Thank Uq
stick to what is on your i20. If the VO asked you question about your choice of program then you can explain that your actual program is computing /modelling etc. You can also go on the school website and print out a page of the program information.

Maths and stats is good tho. Its STEM and it got nothing on your interview.

Hello house,
A quick question, I’m in a dilemma as to which embassy to go Lagos or Abuja? Read through and noticed quite a number of users advice against going to Abuja because it seems the general consensus is that it’s tougher getting approved... Any particular insights as to why this is so.
Your inputs will go a long way and is much appreciated.
Go to any embassy close to you. If you like go to cotonou embassy , if you don't present your case well, then its ain't gonna work.

Read past transcripts, prepare well, know your stuffs and make good eye contact.
In the past , Abuja was the easiest embassy , I am surprised hearing from you that it's now tough.

Like I said, the general consensus on this thread seems to be that Abuja is tougher than Lagos (perhaps in recent times), you can go back on the thread and read through. Thanks for your response, much appreciated.
