about the COS- all i got was a number , kindly clarify if there's a letter i need from my employers too
thanks
Well, my employer sent my COS to my mail in PDF format which included the COS number, my salary and other details. At the tls center, they asked me to present my COS evidence and I gave them. I think you should ask your employer to send you in case....

Hello everyone. I submitted my application for renewal of visa and did my biometrics on 29th of september at the TLS office at Ikeja and till now anytime I track my application online it says decision hasn't been made. Please is this normal as I am beginning to get worried. My last application was November 2014 and I got the visa issued within a week so I'm wondering why this is taking a bit long.

Read this thread you will see people in a similar situation if not worst.

Please people in the house,am submitting my application next week and am currently a nursing student and I also have a printing business am doing am submitting my business account with a balance of little over 500k and my saving with little above 500k where i received money from family and friends and also money transfer from my business account to my saving as well but I have another saving account where i received money from family but lately my previous company where i worked with before as been transferring money to my account every month for the past 4 months for my unpaid salary of five months pls how do I explain this transfer from the company ?do I ask the company to write a back up letter pls no large deposit just transfer showing the company name and balance of 190k. Pls help me out. Pls house help me out. Pls house ,help out with explanation. Pls

This is not a difficult case since the company's name shows. All you need to do is to explain this in a letter.

If you have an account that you can't support the source of money on it with evidence then submitting such account will not help your application

Dear fellow nairalanders,
I've been a silent reader on this group; even before I had the opportunity to apply for tier 2 visa which looked like a mountain lol. Maybe because there was no thread that is specifically for tier 2 visa applications. I came to this forum and asked few questions. I want to share our timeline(me and my wife) to encourage others.
Biometrics- 09/10/2017.
Acknowledgement mail from Sheffield- 11/10/2017.
Decision mail from tls- 24/10/2017.
Passports with visa collected on 26/10/2017.
I acknowledge God for being ever faithful. I thank Justwise and other people who answered the questions I asked here. God bless you all.
NB- We submitted our biometrics in Abuja, went with a lot of documents including photocopies of our previous passports, wedding and other family pictures, offer letter from my employer, evidence of accommodation mail, cover letter etc. They didn't collect them at all the tls office. The only documents they collected were:
1. Front pages of our visa application print out.
2. Valid international passports.
Marriage certificate, COS print out l, police clearance and TB certificates were only collected, scanned and returned to us immediately. I was so confused and angry at the same time. I asked them why they didn't allow us to support supporting documents we brought, but the lady that attended to us said that according to the new rule, they didn't need any other thing.
I became so worried and to crown it all, the decision was made within 2 weeks of biometrics.
What I learned from the whole thing is that, when God says the time to do something is now, no one can say no. I'm so grateful to Him.
I pray for all those waiting for their visas too, that you will hear good news too. Amen!!

Congratulations!

I applied for Tier 5 charity worker visa which is a voluntary field work. I just received a new refusal notice now stating I can apply for Administrative Review. But my sponsor said may be I should apply with a new CoS. What do you think please? And please what do you think my sponsor can add now to the new coS apart from my appointment letter. Thanks

Applying with new CoS is not the issue here, the issue is that your role did not meet the criteria. Your sponsor need to study the refusal letter and amend the CoS to meet the criteria

Justwise,Thank you so much, I will explain the transfer of the money from the company in the letter the other two account are saving which I received money from family and friends and also transfer from business account which show in the account but the business is current account which I use for business but I don't have receipt because is a small scale business because I pay daily into the account after sales of the day customers buy with cash and I don't issue receipt for me. Do I include it and explain how the business it?

Thanks Justwise. My sponsor said they can't access the CoS again as it has been marked as USED after the administrative review. That is why they are suggesting if they should issue me a new CoS. The ECM had revoked the first reason why my application was denied and said I can apply for administrative review for this new refusal notice but I think they deliberately denied my application. Please what do you think I can do.

I'm sure it has been posted on here before. If you can help with the page number that would be good.

Thank you.

Hello, @Justwise @Bright @Solatium @Ekpotek and everyone in the house,

Kindly advice:

I submitted a completed online application for a tourist visa on the 4th of October but cancelled/requested for a refund on the 5th of October 2017 upon detecting an error i made in section/part 2. (Please note that biometrics and submission date was scheduled for the 12th of October but wasn’t honored as i had already cancelled)

Now on the 15th of October, i made a fresh application online, paid the visa fee, submitted and went for my biometrics yesterday 24/10/2017

But to my surprise, up till this minute i haven’t received a mail or any refund alert from the British Embassy (visa4UK) concerning the previous cancelled

Kindly advice...

Thank you!

Even after they stated clearly that the role in CoS did not meet the criteria for a field worker” under the meaning in Appendix A part 111(c) of the Rules you are still claiming that it was a delibrate act?

Have you or your sponsor studied Appendix A part 111(c) of the Rules to know if indeed your role met the requirement?

They can issue you a new CoS but the issue of your role has to be addressed on it.

You can do that but there is no guarantee that explanation alone will work without paper evidence.

Okay Justwise I will inform them to address the issue on new CoS. But that Appendix A part 111 (c) of immigration rules only talked about valid CoS and not about field work. If I want to re-apply now and I am asked whether I have been refused a UK visa before, did I need to mention the revoked refusal and new refusal or only the new refusal reason and date? Thank you.

Gurus in the house, I hail thee.

I've reapplied for my EEA FP (non-settlement, standard)...
Timeline so far;

July 18... Biometrics @ TLS ikeja
July 29... Application received @ UK decision centre ( from Sheffield)
August 4... Application processing not straightforward ( from Sheffield)

Since then, i'v been playing the waiting game and praying fervently.
I'v gone through threads where a lot has been discussed about Escalating the process either by calling the H.O in Sheffield directly or via email.
Pls I need opinions and advices on what next to do. It's already 27 working days.

Have u gotten ur passport back? I am about to apply for family permit.

My dear, I have been there before, if this information are not on your COS, your admn review won't be successful, I was refused based on this reasons too, I reapplied and addressed the issues raised by the Eco, my sponsor stated my job duties on my new COs, stated the aims of the charity and also stated on the COs that I won't be filling a permanent position, my visa was refused again, the eco stating the same reason, I felt like giving the dumb Eco that accessed my application a very hard knock and slap, well I went for an admn review, the refusal was overturned,

Thanks for your contribution Ujugirl. The result of the review came out and and the reviewer said he has revoked the reasons to refuse my application. This happens because my sponsor was able to add those information after my refusal on sponsors note. The reviewer now issued me another refusal and stated that HE IS NOT SATISFIED THAT THE JOB THAT MY SPONSOR IS GIVING TO ME IS A FIELD WORK. But all my job descriptions shows that its a field work. I am given another opportunity to do the review but my sponsor said they would issue me a new CoS dat I shouldn't go for another review. Congtats on your decision overturning!

@inphoneix , justwise and all,

Good evening. Apologies if this has been answered before. When a company is sponsoring, is the statement of account of the company sufficient alongside payslips of the staff? Or is the staff's statement needed too?

Thank you

Hi guys update on my visa (family visa) we were to go for my sisters wedding on the 26th of August.

Did biometrics 21st of July
escalation August 15th and on and on for where no answer.
Got mail that decision was made 23rd of October, got mail for pick up later same day
I was scared to go pick up, so waited 3 days until my heart is strong enough
i went and i got my visa 2years! it was issued 19th of oct.

my mum was also given 2years, but my bro was denied.

i noticed my visa issuer is UKVI,
so i'm thinking those of us that were delayed were being processed in UK? not sure sha just a guess.

omo when i got there i saw that the passports being returned were in a black nylon pack, only i and a guy was in a DHL bag. Afraid catch me die, i was thinking ah this people don refuse me , mumu me was looking for refusal letter instead of looking for visa in passport.
it was later my brain clicked that babe check your passport first na.
Omo see joy and gladness.

Thanks to everybody that has been contributing to this forum, it gave me hope and patients.

And oh we did miss my sisters wedding, very sad, i cried on that day sha. as in after all the preparation i did for her, asoebi , her cloths, soveniers etc i was not there to witness her get married. my mum cried wella.

What type of visa?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Nobody: 12:43pm On Oct 27, 2017
Hi everyone, is the UKBA big on addresses? There's a mistake on two different certificates, one says "Plot 9, block 72" and the other says "Plot 9, block 17". And it can't be rectified as those certificates are issued only once.
Thanks.

Congratulations Try www.wakanow.com, www.travelstart.com.ng, wwwcheapflights.com. The cheapest tickets will depend on your travel dates. Egyptair and Ethiopian airline are the cheapest at any time.

Good morning FAM. I have been following this thread for a while now, 2 years to be specific. Please you guys should help me with some clue. I haven't traveled out before, the last time I wanted to, it was denied and reasons was:
You said your schooling in Nigeria but no evidence to back that up.
You and your spouse have been together for 3 years but no proof of the relationship. ( I haven't seen her for the first time)
You submitted a payslip of your spouse but no bank statement.
With this I don't think you have enough fund for this trip and that you will return back to Nigeria. There was no right for appeal.

Here is the thing guys, I want to submit this application again, now she will send me all those things, (She works as a teaching assistant, and will sponsor everything) and I might use my mom as a sponsor too, then my expenses there on my head.
But am a fresh graduate, I don't have much in my account, as I work with my boss who has a registered construction company, he doesn't pay me.

Guys please help me arrange my self, and to be frank if I should get the visa, I don't plan coming back. I will just go there and get married.
