good afternoon everyone. a friend of my told me she just finished her interview now and she received a white paper, i was congratulating her and she said they denied her and i was shocked. everybody that got there visa said they got a white paper and am also praying for that not until i heard it from her. please can someone clarify that because my interview is coming November 22. is it possible to receive a white paper and be denied?

Honestly, I also noticed this. Initially I thought that maybe they ran out of blue papers. Infact, I think I saw someones whose visa was approved but got blue paper. I was really confused that day. Maybe na colour blindness sha.

The color of refusal papers are not cast in stone. The embassy can and have printed on several colors. The only thing one needs us to READ THE CONTENTS.

I wish folks would know the true status of things before answering and misleading others. Cc: the person alluding to another's color blindness

Thank you for this. Now I'm justified, lol

It doesn't mean that you don't have a legit reason to go to those countries, but a lot of people have "disvirgned" their passports by having these countries stamps on them - fake or real, fake as in having agents stamp on them, real as in travelling to them because its cheap, there's no visa required and it gives them some sort of travel history. If you have no travel history, you can still get the visa. IMHO.
In addition to that, if the document or documents are fake after checking through the blue light, the candidate would be banned permanently from entering the United States.

People should refrain from having fake stamps on their passports.

Observation!!!! Peeps painting their stories with a lot of emotions. If America want to pity us, they will have to carry allofus go put for one state in their country.

Seriously, we need to properly and objectively conduct self-evaluation before putting in the application. Seeking online validation won't add to your chances.

The reason is simple most people of your age find it very easy to migrate to U.S when you get visa....

I was trying to use a Visa Agent for the procession but I think I have to do it myself But don't know the steps I ought to take for the procession since I wanna do it myself.......Here he says different things to me saying that I can hardly get an f1 visa since am 22 years old that the age bracket is (16-20)and also I finished my SSCE 2014 that I will likely be asked what I have been doing ever since I finished my SSCE....Please my amiable nairalanders I need some tips please. Thanks alot

Its either student or visit visa any of it that seems likely easy to get....Since I don't have much home tie......I was thinking a good Visa agent that do it but I think am getting the right information I need to do it myself from here... I just that am a bit confuse bout the procession of the two Visa application....

@ op and others.

Please am i banned from entering the UNITED STATES ?

This was what happened . in 2007 i applied for a US student visa, and i presented a fake waec results. my visa application was denied.

Though the reason for the denial was not as a result of the fake waec result as the visa officer had already denied me and told me she wasn't convinced i was a genuine student before seeing the fake waec certificate .

It was when she told me she wasn't convinced i was a genuine student that i insisted i was genuine that she demanded for my waec certificate that I presented the fake waec result to her.

She didn't tell me she understood i forged the results. she glanced through it , gave it back to me and repeated she was still not convinced i was a genuine student.

now my concern and my question is , could it be possible she found out the result was forged but didn't want to tell me but instead silently banned me. i ask this because after glancing through the fake waec certificate she gave it back to me and went to her system and typed something.

In essence i want to know how they ban people. do they normally tell the person they are placing him on a ban ? do they do stamp the person's passport and place him on a ban ? and could it be possible that the thing the visa officer typed on her system be a remark that I presented a false document and i should be banned ?

i just want to know how the banning process works and how I can find out if i am already banned , as i have never applied for US or any other countriy's vsa since that time till now. And am currently planning to apply for a visa and visit the US, this time around with everything genuine.

I would not also advise you to submit yet until you get a date. You can keep saving your DS160 form you will get 30 days grace and you can keep doing this until next year (make sure is not up to a year you paid for the visa) when it will be convenient for you to get a date and go for the interview before you submit, because your information may change and you may not have the opportunity to update your information once the form is submitted

I submitted my Ds160 form almost a year after I started filling my Ds160 form within this period, i was promoted and my job function also changed so i was able to update my data accordingly which also helped to boost my profile.

All the best

When booking your appointment, as long as she's stated as travelling with you, as you go along the route of booking appointment, the MRV receipt numbers from GTB for both of you will be used to secure the booking of same time appointment for you two last last. I believe you have only filled your DS160 form as of now and haven't booked your appointment yet....

Hello All,
I stumbled upon this thread from a google search a night before my visa interview.
I had been previously denied last year and was praying against a repeat.
I'm still at the job that i was at last year but I've been promoted and my pay is much higher, still single too. I decided to say i was paying for my vacation this time rather than staying with my sister and her family.
Here's the transcript of my interview earlier this week.
VO: Good morning, may i have your passport. Why are you visiting the US?
Me: For my annual vacation
VO: Are you single or married?
Me: Single
VO: Any kids?
Me: (Smiles) Nope
VO: How long do you plan to stay?
Me: 7 days, I am entitled to 20 business days each year for my vacation and I have used up 10days already but saved the rest for this holiday if granted a visa.
VO: How long have you been at your first job?
Me: Three years (Wondering how she knew it was my first job - must be from my initial application from last year)
VO: What do you do at your job?
Me: Lists responsibilities included my side hustle and volunteering job.
VO:How much its your salary?
Me: I tell her
VO: How often do you get paid, weekly, monthly, quarterly?
Me: Weekly, then i corrected myself and said Monthly but i get quarterly reimbursements for fuel/telephone costs etc
VO: Let me see your bank statements
Present them to her. She scans through quickly, i quip in...I was recently promoted and that accounts for the increase in pay you may notice. She nods and returns them to me.
VO: Have you visited other countries?
Me: I list all the countries, specifically informing her that i spent the first part of my annual vacation this year in the UK
VO: Are you traveling for medical reasons? are you pregnant?
Me: No I am not.
VO: Your Visa has been approved etc etc
Hands me a white document.
I thanked her, packed all my supporting documents into my folder and left.
It took less than 3 minutes.

Lessons:
Always fill your form yourself. (Last year I used an agent from hell,)
Be very honest about your job, income etc.
For single people, travel history especially recent trips can help your case.

I just thought to share my experience here.
Haven't posted on this forum in ages shocked

I filled another ds160 form so I was able to add my spouse.
Now I'm booking appointment and I can't add my spouse as dependent. Because its bringing out details used by another person

Okay, you already have a profile set up for each of you or something? If you come across further difficulty, just book appointment separately, but ensure you choose same day/time for each booking. At take in on interview day let them know, so you can both be interviewed together

Using that up there will be very hard oo bro.

Cataract surgery is the most easiest surgery in Nigeria by our surgeons when it comes to eye related issues. The V.O will simply knock you off balance on the question that don't you think it'll save you much cost to have it done here in Nigeria?

I know about eye issues wella and that path you're about to route might flop big time. I've done cataract surgery once and also did cornea eye transplant on my eye all done in Naija here both by private and government hospital. My little advice bro.

Great transcripts so far!
Please can you let us know if this is your first time applying, or you have applied before, or you faced a ban before, or you came clean before. I think it helps people understand the context of your transcript. For example, I was banned for 10 years, I applied for a waiver, got approved, attended the interview got my visa e.t.c.
THANKS!
