People talk about grace as their reason for not giving tithes, I laugh in derision. What sort of Grace is that? A grace that makes you do less or one that makes you do more. The requirements of the law are just a minimum benchmark for any true Christian. The Law says thou shall not commit adultery. Grace says thou shall love your wife in addition. Law says thou shall not steal, Grace says thou shall even give more and abundantly.


Some Christians have gone pass the so called 10% and in fact give more on regular income. To me those are the ones truly practicing grace. If the ones who had an unevangelistic Judaism could pay 10% then why should a Christain with an evangelistic religion pay less. It is a Shame to do less than Moses, Isaiah, David, Solomon etc.

Christians aren't called to do less than the fathers of Faith did we are called to do far more because to those whom much has been given much is expected. Finally as Christ said the treasure of a man lies where his heart is. If your heart lies in the Church your money would be in it. Don't give me the crap argument of give to the poor. You can always do that separately!

If not find a mission group anywhere in the world and send your tithe to them. Whatever you do in Christian religion, you are supposed to back with scriptures.
The payment of tithe is not commanded for Christians under the New Testament. In fact the Bible says that those who keep the law are not justified before God. Galatians 2 verse 16
The payment of tithe is under the law, so those who pay tithe cannot be justified before God.
It is as simple as that.

I avoid people that pay tithe at any given instance. They believe paying tithe takes away all thier sins and guarantees them heaven and financial riches. Therefore, if you do any kind of business deal with them you will be robbed because they need to pay tithe and atone for thier sins.

so islam is a govt founded religion������������, this guy dont know anything about islam. Islam made it mandatory for a rich man to give zakat to the poor not to any imam, mosque or malam likewise charity. Everybody is paying tithe take or leave it, there is no way you can outsmart God, if you decide not to pay, the world is full of so many things that will make the money useless in your hand, you can have the money, what about good health, good marriage, protection, excellent brain, peace and joy. Money cannot buy these things mentioned above.

Devourers are plenty in this wicked world, they are here to waste your hard earned money, even if you pay the tithe, you need to pray seriously against these Devourers e.g, accident, untimely death, strange sickness, thieves, armed robber, 419ers, scammers, pestilence, costly error, disaster, tragedy, calamity, insanity, dull brain, and so on.

God is good. Out of let's assume #1,000, God is asking for just #100(one hundred naira), you can use the remaining #900 for your other things, this same thing apply to the large amount like one million naira. We are greedy and selfish, we want to spend every thing, economic wise, we are not helping ourselves. A wise man should know that not all money should be spent, he must keep some money, he must give to help others, he must give to his mother, he must take care of his family above all he must give back to the source where the money is coming from which is, God.

This is where tithe come to play, this tithe, is the one that preserve all other money coming into your pocket. It is the silent prayer to God for mercy on all other needs. That God o, help me, let nothing happen to my business, my family, my job and so on.
