Vet is a professional course, so as medicine.

You can only change from non professional to a professional course and vise versa

I'll advice chemistry
54.25 is the merit cutoff for geology while 50 is merit cutoff for chemistry.
Chemistry "should " have more admission space than geology.

However, this depends on your aggregate. If you have a good 60+, then you can pick geology.

Now what is really my fate. I choose English education meanwhile i scored (71 in P.jamb and 247 in jamb) and i scored 66.365 as aggregate.The cut off mark for English edu is exceedingly high this year compared to the previous years which is a strong indicator that many people choose that course and by normal reasoning they have filled up their quota should i do COC or should i hope for supplementary or second batch admission list?

just as my boss Bobola has opined,go do coc to a more lesser course.....if ui decides to consider u for ur initial course ur COC won't be a problem at all.

I once scored 188 in jamb

4 marks have denied me admission into Mbbs on two different occasions.

Folks start telling me its the will of God or my destiny is not attached to being a doctor.

Its the will of God for me to fail? Impossible people.

Thank God I ignored them.

From 188 jamb score to 322 jamb score.

From scoring 29 in jamb physics to scoring 93 in the same jamb physics

From 4 marks on 2 occasion below cutoff for Mbbs to almost 8.5 marks above Mbbs cutoff.

People who saw my aggregate of 80.25 never knew it came from pain, anger, tears, desperation, perseverance, determination.

Not everyone will get things on a platter of Gold.

It happens I am part of those who didn't get it on a platter of gold.

People like me changed the world. People who don't accept defeat but stand up to it.


I can't even share all my defeats, and serial back to back disappointments here.

But I hope at least one person can be encouraged and take up the baton again and run that race.

Elrapido , I hope you see this. You aren't alone. There are people who have walked that path and succeeded.

I understand how you feel bro. I've been there many times.
But one thing is sure, there will be change of course.
There's no session that UI, or even any other school hasn't announced change of course, because space for all their available courses are not always filled on merit, so they need to allow some people change to those courses so they can admit more.

But bro, just put your mind at rest. You have a good aggregate, and I'm sure God gat you this time around.

I don't know the books to recommend, but if you navigate 2 or three pages back on this thread, pes13 recommended some books there

Ui tradiationally dont advertize for courses above 50,and i notice most faculty had point above 50 so most coc will be in agric or edu,just like unilag dis yr but if you have good grade dont be surprised if u saw ur name among any of the various courses in ur faculty that have very low point.

You'll get it in the second list.Just make sure you do COC but that shouldn't stop you from being admitted in the supplementary list.
