Sorry for this. I really dont know what to say to this one o, maybe its not just your lucky day. However, I think we should start including the citizenship issue with our reason for going to the US to have a baby, since its not illegal, what do yoi think? cos in the past, stay at home wives have gotten visa based on husbands full sponsorship but these days, seems they want both parties to have strict home ties.

I advise you re-apply if you still have time and follow up with prayers and include US passport in your reason for choosing US over SA.

There is nothing you can do to your being a home maker for now that will not raise an eye brow. Let other gurus in the house give their input though.

Thank you for your 'kind' words

Sister @iwuohasamuels, hmm you may not think so, but everyone who has responded to you is actually being kind . They could have let your post stay without any comment and waka pass as they say, but instead they have given valuable input.

For example, your question on how to process US passport is answered on @justwise's post on page zero of this current thread 5.

On which cities and hospitals are best...there are so many quotes here..its like buffet...even page zero tells us that it depends on our preferences. Go to Houston that is cheap and pay for accommodation or go where you have family and friends.... get free accommodation and pay a bit more for hospital and doctor. If you read you will see that Chicago POE is for the brave and those with mountain faith!

On success at interview....only God knows...some people had every document...told the truth.....but were denied twice before being given finally, but reading people's experiences will tell you what to avoid and what worked.

Finally, someone shared the experience of a lady who was sent back to Nigeria at POE...why?...... her friend helped her with everything and she didn't have the confidence to answer questions posed to her at POE.

So sis....I'm begging you read through....you can use the search button as a short cut.

I think we sincerely wish you the best. Good luck!

grin grin

Dont mind me

Actually, I had an experience sometime in 2015 as well- Can't remember which exactly but I think it was the American Passport- I was turned back to go get a money order.

We had a nice experience with him the last time and nothing has changed really.

I Actually went for his Full package- he provides accommodation by the side, peeps in to check on you medically from time to time while his wife has a standby car to take you to wherever you want to go whenever you want to.

PS: Thanks for the info! Appreciate

Hello Guys,

I have a question. My friend and his family got their US visa in 2015. They have traveled twice btw 2015 and 2016. This year his wife went to give birth, she's back now, she didn't spend up to 6 months. So he tried to renew their visa through dropbox but they were told to appear for an interview. Does anyone know why this might have happened? He also stated that they made all payments in America for the birth of their son. Thank you guys.

They must have noticed that she stayed unusually long on her last trip, most likely that's why she was invited for the interview. They might want to confirm what she was doing in the Us for that long a time. Since you said she had a baby, she should go with evidence of payment for all medical services received and if possible a letter of zero balance also.

Hi Friends,

I am new here. I have read a lot from different post. however, please i have some questions to ask. I intend to go to Northside hospital Atlanta by February to have my baby. I have gotten a quote from them which is 3,550 dollars just for 2 nights excluding other services like PED, GYN etc.

Please can anyone assist with the procedure after getting the bill especially on getting a doctor?

Do i have to pay any upfront to the hospital before getting my appoint letter?

Also between Atlanta and Maryland please which is more expensive to give birth?

Thank u so much

Hi guys. Please my wife is due is April and we have begun our application process.

However, my question is, how do we book accommodation for the delivery. Most hotels online don't give provision for 2 to 3 months reservation.

How best can we convince the VO as regards accommodation.

Cheers

Airbnb etc
Lots of suites also long stay / shortlet options
Just type in Google what you want
Nothing special about long stay accomodation regardless of your reason

Just book the maximum length of stay the hotel or apartment can take. Usually it's 30 days. However in your budget sheet include the total cost of accommodation for your entire length of stay.
