Good morning house, a quick one, please can one tell them at the POE that you r staying at a hotel or mother care centre? If yes what document do you need to provide/ present for confirmation? Thanks for responses.

For hotel,I guess you should have a print out of your hotel reservation.
And for the mother care center you should have a receipt of your payment and the phone number of your host handy,so that if they are in doubt they can call

Hi Friends,

I am new here. I have read a lot from different post. however, please i have some questions to ask. I intend to go to Northside hospital Atlanta by February to have my baby. I have gotten a quote from them which is 3,550 dollars just for 2 nights excluding other services like PED, GYN etc.

Please can anyone assist with the procedure after getting the bill especially on getting a doctor?

Do i have to pay any upfront to the hospital before getting my appoint letter?

Also between Atlanta and Maryland please which is more expensive to give birth?

Thank u so much

With regards to upfront payments,it depends on the hospital, some do require you to,while others don't..
Hospitals in Maryland is more expensive than Atlanta in my opinion.

Start the application process as soon as possible, this way if you are denied your visa you still have time to apply again... and maybe again.

Although El Paso is still one of the most popular places since it has been receiving international patients for the longest time, very few questions appear here since the package includes everything and there is assistance from staff (Denise) if you have complications or questions. Use the search button on this site for Doctoresparati/El Paso.

Hello Nairalanders

I must salute the great work you all do here. Just thought to post my visa interview experience. Interview was on Nov 1 in Lagos.

My husband and I applied for B2 medical n tourism

VO: What’s your relationship?
Husband: We are married
VO: What’s the purpose of the visit?
Husband: To give birth
VO: Is this your first child?
Husband: Yes
VO: What do you do? Where do you work? Where did you school?
Husband: Bla bla
VO: What do you do? Where do you work? What does your job entail? Where did you school?
Me: Bla Bla
VO: What’s your budget? How much do you have?
Husband: About 24k, we have 16k (we had bank statements to prove it but he didn’t request for it)
VO: Your visas have been approved. And he gave us two white documents.
They didn’t ask to see any document. Favour all the way!

I’ll be in Houston last week of November. Using Dr Xydas and Houston Northwest Medical and staying at InTown Suites for now. Anyone with similar itinerary, let’s hook up. Thx

Congratulations. This is so easy. Have you or your husband travel out before? It pains me when I read transcript of how visa officer keep asking why do you want to give birth in US, why not UK. Someone was rejected based on this, despite giving reasons why not UK, she was denied. May be the VO is expecting her to say because of duo citizenship. God is great!!!

Your wife should apply for B2 visa while you apply for B1/B2

Thanks.

But we applied using our Mobile phone GTBank App. There was just B Class. no B1 or B2 separately.

Good day mama and paps, please which does the Doc in the US accepts (test and scan results from General or Private hosptial)

They will accept both for record purposes...
They will accept whatever you give them.

But they will conduct their own tests, not depending on the documents you brought in.

Morning mamas and thanks for this great thread.

I am a FTM and I plan to deliver in Texas. A friend told me to contact Dr Fagbohun and in the course of searching for his email address I stumbled on this thread.

Since two days now I have read from the first part to this part and though I have seen Dr Fagbohun's name mentioned, I did not see his email address.

I will really appreciate it if someone could post it hear. Thank you in advance, in fact I meant to say thank you a million times.

The best response is to tell the VO the truth. Only you know the truth, nobody else does except you wink
