I agree there is disparity between HND n Bsc in Nigeria but it does not determine ones success..I am a holder of HND in Elect Elect. n i have some professional certificates. Automotive technical trainer by profession but to be frank with you , i select jobs.. where i am currently working i am d back bone behind the automotive department n soon i will be living them because i was offered something big by one organization after undergoing a series of recruitment test and they picked me amidst so many Bsc holders that attended the interview simply because they so potential that matched their requirement. And i am working on having my automotive training school with an auto garage for fixing different brands of cars God willing.

Fools ple plenty like sand.policy makers in Nigeria are certificate carriers and can never make it except by dubious means.No professional or Dangote can talk the way the monkey has just spoken.We are in the field and we know the truth. Let him go and get Job in a private sector.He will know that his bsc is useless.

Excellent. That is the HIDDEN TRUTH a lot do not realize. What is even the BSc or Masters where there is no knowledge? The problem is not the certificate but the huge gap between our Nigeria school curriculum and the WORLD outside the school 'environment'. Until that widening gap is firmly bridged, even the Bsc and all that will sooner than later be worth a little more than the candy wrap. Nigerians are naturally very intelligent people going by the environment in which they study. Any wonder they do excellently better outside Nigeria shores.

then why do many sane graduates remain jobless playing bets, do all sort of social vices after all, they have acquired the necessary knowledge while in college, why can't they channel the knowledge toward something meaningful?
I can tell you that many can't still apply the knowledge even when the need be. Why do we still have many unemployable graduates with good grades out there, after all, they are sane, they have acquired the necessary knowledge?

I have the two but am using my HND plus C&G. Am comfortable and can't remember applying for any job with my degree. God's grace is what you should seek and not certificate.

However, it's not your fault. I'm a Polytechnic student and I've once floor both Msc and Bsc holders in an interview. That doesn't mean Polytechnic is superior on delivery of educational service. it's not a matter or where u came from, it's a matter of who you are.
most of you who are always braggadocio of your certificate are mainly dullard and brain dead in class, just fortunate to attend a good primary school.
Bishop David Oyedepo is a product of Polytechnic but has never blew any trumpet regarding that despite his global achievement.

I work in a federal teaching hospital as an hnd holder.. and I can tell you I'm living fine..


what I'm trying to say is that in this same hospital there are cleaners and security officers that are bsc holders who are not even employed directly by the hospital. I and five others of my colleagues that I know that we were employed at the same time are all hnd holders. I'm not bragging I can categorically tell you I have friends with bsc who are begging me to help seek employment into where I work even if it will be with their ssce cert.

now the bottom line of what I'm saying is that your certificate doesn't determine your success in life..

Speak for those you know..proudly yabatech hnd holder and account exec with America's top 15 private companies and top 31 in the world...your certificate is just a peice of paper,getting the opportunity and making proper use of it is what counts

I am a HND holder and I am gainfully employed. I pay BSc. holder to take my children in primary school private lesson.

you that graduated from university what has been your achievement since you graduated? Check the profile of all governors in nigeria and check where they graduated from. Oni of ife is a product of polytechnics and many more people like that. It is better you change your life for good than wasting your time on social media confusing gullible people like you.

Some plpp and the way dey reason sa, I have HND and gainfully employed, all my friends that finish sch b4 me with their BSc are still searching for jobs. One of dem use to look at me then wen I was in Sch then like I have no future, with my HND. when I told him am employed immediately I finish my NYSC, he was surprise,because I never spend a month at home after my NYSC b4 I was employed...Am not trying to ridicule the guy or being proud, but this Nigeria we are is not all about certificate again, but Grace. I know of guy who has just OND, what he has most of the graduate with Bsc, MSc and PhD don't have it...
