My friend, you started well until you began delving into your so called Benin folklore you know next to nothing about. That so called folklore is as told by the Ijaw.
Benin never migrated from Ife. The Benin folklore says that their ancestors originated from the sky. Therefore, the Benin king then was known as Ogiso, meaning king of the sky.
Ife came in when the kingdom started having internal strives.Since they could not agree on a king among themselves, they then send to their prince who had earlier fled to Ife to escape been killed to come and rule over them.
It was this Benin prince who had become a ruler in ife and is now called oduduwa, that sent his son to rule Benin.
As you can see, my friend, there is no where in Benin folklore where it was said that the Benins migrated from Ife. It was only a Benin prince who had now become the ruler of ife, that sent his son, oranmiyan, to rule Benin in his stead. And only when the Benins requested him to come over and rule over them
thank you bros,so let them know, your illustration is final and the name changed from izoduwa to oduduwa,we are the binis we know who we are.i greet you.

There's something called the will to fight war, when it comes to the will for wars, the Benins have it in amazing levels. These and more reasons is why we should advocate peace. You will be surprised, the benins under a war will transform into leopards. I don talk my own. I am not a Benin man, and have no affiliations with the Benin Kingdom, but i'm stating the obvious, but if the Ijaw continues war mongering in the SS, we will have futuristic problems for the next generation which is not what we need
I don't like wars either. as a civilized person, I had always advocated for a peaceful resolution in any conflict.. if you look at the bigger picture. the Binis are like intimidating the Ijaws because they have a governor at their disposal which of course the Ijaws don't have.. if you deep thoughts about the remarks the Governor made against the Ijaws. its enough to incite war between these neighbours. literally, from the comment, Ijaws are like second class citizens in Edo State(which is not right).

as for war, forgets the mythical tales about the binis.. they will be outnumbered. the Ijaws in Delta alone can hold dem down.. reinforcement will be called from d likes of Rivers. ondo. Akwa-ibom. bayelsa. n I forgot to mention it. even the uhrobos don't like the binis(arguably d Entire Niger delta)... presently the Ijaws have 1 governor. three deputy governors. 5-6 senators and two speakers of the house n two other deputy speakers... so even in the Political realm. the Ijaws are well built. economically we are super relevant.. n don't forget. we know the Niger Delta routes better than anyone... i forgot even the Even Cross rivers has Ijaws.

Ijaw, you guys need to stop your fabrications, and get more educated. Edo history is too well documented. And contrary to what you think, the Oba of Benin is not just the Oba of Benin City. His real title is Omo n'Oba n'Edo. He is the King of the Benin Kingdom. Benin City is only the capital of the Benin Kingdom, not the Kingdom itself ! Edo state is a small part of the Kingdom and you ijaw are trying to crown a "king" in a part of an already established kingdom. I hope you people can understand this and stop your madness ! When you migrate into an area, try and learn the history of the land. Don't just start making claims of "we were here first" and don't start "crowning" your "son" in a foreign land, you might get slaughtered by the owners of the land. This is an advise and a warning!
epa,i am very proud of you right now cheesy

Funny enough, i'm not an Izon, neither am i a Benin man, but get it out of your dreams that Ijaw will conquer Benin, i hope you know Benin has alliances? Do you consider the extent on how such conflict will spread? You should lend your voice to peace and not war, even Ilaje and Ijaw, Itskeri and Ijaw conflicts didn't end in victory for the Ijaws, so why are you bragging about Ijaw's might when the Benins are clearly been abused? You can't crown a king within a territory that has a king, that's not a provocation, it's a declaration of war.
What alliances does the Binis have that we the Ijaw nation don't have? U r just a kingdom,We the Ijaws are a Nation. Mind u,I'm from a war canoe family.

You special ijaws.
Enough talk, it is time to fight.
Me and my Edo people will face you on the battle front.

o boy I dare you to come and say that in Benin or post a video of yourself saying that on the net and not see if calamity will not fall on you. You think you can insult our revered monarch and institution and go scot free many people have said such and look at their end. I have always said that most tribes in Nigeria think they have violence let them come to Benin/study the people's history and see if they will not go on their knees to thank God for suppressing the people's killer instinct. Benin city is just a small territory of the oba's imperial demesne sorta like the forbidden city in China. my friend I would just advise you not to be the start of a conflict no one wants so just apologise

Sorry i think we have always been standing on our own for a very long time now. Yes we share cultural ties but since the days when your leaders felt they could humilate us and the people of the south south we have learnt to stand alone.....Trust me, an Edo man would rather stay with an Uhrobo man because he knows that when trouble comes somebody gat his back not your kindreds who would jump ship immediately wahala starts.....We aint enemies...am jus telling you how we don't like you guys....

Go and find out any where, Yoruba has always being plus or minus anybody, mind you, I have said it on this forum severally, don't compare Yoruba and Binis again rather, bini and sectional Yorubas like Ijebu, Ijesa or Egba even Ibadan is bigger that the whole bini tribe. Also, tell your elders to stop revisionist history it wont work. Yoruba predates bini, one developed to en empire the other was a kingdom. Yorubas don't pick bini words or names rather bini pick those of Yorubas and if you doubt me spell the word " OBA" using bini alphabets.

shut up if you know nothing. the Ijaws are blessed too blessed. that's why most their neighbours envy dem.. as the saying goes... even blessings attracts enemies. Ijaws has to fight every day to defend what God has blessed them with. that's why d many enemies.. stop talking down in the Ijaws... the damn federal road to your state is likely built by the resources from the Ijaw region. be grateful at least. and stop talking down like an ungrateful bastard.
