Forget this nonsense you typed here. Pogba was poor last season not because he didn't score or give Assists, but because he was playing like badly. Even Ibrahimovic had to state why he was poor.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Paul Pogba tried too hard at the start to justify £89 million Man Utd transfer

30 DECEMBER 2016 • 12:13PM
latan Ibrahimovic believes Paul Pogba struggled at Manchester United earlier in the season because he was trying too hard to justify his world record transfer fee.
But the United striker is convinced Pogba is now starting to show why the club paid Juventus £89 million in the summer to secure his services after finally settling down.

How will he assist when our strikers led by Zlatan were squandering chances by the truckload in games?
Or have you forgotten so quickly?
Are we going to delve into the stats to find out how many chances pogba created last season?

Don't mind them, I talked about naysayers few days ago and some people landed on me. Some will even complain that why didn't mourinho bring back cantona?
Lukaku has score 8goals and 5 assists in 14 games, scoring further 4 in other competitions, but no he an idiot, he is a fraud, he is lazy, he is a Judas. I am regretting criticizing Lindelof earlier for his struggles, yesterday he put in the most composed defensive performance by a 21 year old I have seen in United, they made me catch the bug. People calling for zlatan, forgot how we played slowly last season, with Lukaku our attack looks more fluid and fast, in the last two games he had a hand in 4 goals, look carefully all they goals scored yesterday he contributed to them, we need goals distributed across the field not 1 player scoring 28 of about 60 goals all season. We have not played half a season, Valencia has 2, Young 3, Martial 6, Rashford 3, Felliani 3, Lingard 3, Pogba 3, smalling mikhi ,Mata and even Bailly has contributed. Let Cut Lukaku some slack abeg.

There was nothing wrong in your criticism of Lindelhof. I defended Lindelhof some weeks back when the criticism was becoming heavy, I said he would be good. But I cannot because of that try to rubbish or shame those who criticized him. He was really playing badly. After he cost us two goals, I criticize him, but the next league match when he was being butchered, I defended him.

Lukaku deserves criticism for yesterday's performance. Remember last week here, I said he contributes so much even though he doesn't score. But yesterday, I saw situations he could have done something different and help us, but he behaved like am amateur player.

Refreshing to view posts from someone who has perspective as a guide.

Carry on.
From now on it is your posts that will bring me to comment. There's a lot of major league girly nagging going on in here. So much so that even after we won at a top 6 rival (something they nagged,b1tchef and moaned hard about our inability to do since Jose came in) folks will still complain.
So much so that folks suddenly retracted from their crying and had an appreciation for "bus parking" when we went a man down yesterday.
So much so that they are suddenly praising Lindelof and hailing him as the next Nesta after initially slating him and condemning him.

Hypocrisy and two-faced nature abound in bundles. The same people accuse raumdeuter of turning amala but are quick to do u-turns and flip flops in a heartbeat.

Make we dey look.

I've not criticised Lindeolf not even during the Huddersfield match, I even defended I'm some matches (not that criticising was wrong), but I want to ask, what were you expecting from fans after his horrendous displays?

Something like "Nice defence, Lindeolf. For singlehandedly costing us against Huddersfield, you're the man of the match"?

Or

"Lindeolf gifts Huddersfield the win, what a defender. The second coming of Nesta"?

Exactly! Depends on what type of off the ball movement one means; within or outside the box?. That we're getting goals from all areas and have gotten 7 goals in 2 away means he's doing sth right, besides we don't know what's happening behind the scene; possibly the instruction given to him here is different from that of NT. I laugh when guys say they prefer Ibra. People are too quick to forget no one scores if he doesn't score last season not to mention his lethargic play most times and missing of chances.

It's because ibra is a classy and intelligent oyibo while Lukaku is a jambody striker with a bad first touch and no link up play ( but somehow assisted 5 goals in the league and have a hand in virtually all our goals this season) and he most importantly he is not a fine boy and his is a Belgium who nationalised from lowly subsaharan African country called Congo DR. That's the reason.

Don't mind them. Someone here said our win versus Watford was disgusting, that was when I gave up.
We have score 12 goals in 4 matches, 7 away versus Watford and Arsenal, but hey, the attacks of spurs, pool, arsenal and Chelsea is more incisive and purposeful while ours is "hit in the box and hope".

- Nobody pointed out Lukakus movements and pass to martial. No one is talking about how he outmuscled koscielny to free Lingard for the third goal or how he prevented Koscilny and monreal from venturing forward.
- Ashley Youngs FIFA style running to the back post to head away ozils back pass was never mentioned.
- Lindelof and Smalling defensive masterclass was never mentioned.

It's only negatives we see.

The matter just tire me.......

Pogba deserved the criticisms he got last season. I ran out of websites that were pointing out his mistakes. It's so bad, Pogba was making flop team of the week in some sites.

One particular hurtful editorial I read was on ESPN. In that piece, a gif of Pogba's various hairstyles was created and the writer wrote about how he's had more hairstyles than goals and assists. When you cost 89m, you'll have the spotlight on you. It's what it is.

This season, Garth Crooks, a BBC pundit that criticised Pogba's hairstyles last season criticised his hairstyles again after a match he played, a columnist on Football365 took Garth Crooks to the cleaners while defending Pogba.

What changed? If it's last season Garth would've been gotten away with that criticism. But Pogba is now playing well and nobody can criticise his hairstyles. Neymar has an addictive night life, but he's not facing criticisms for it because he delivers on the pitch. If Pogba was playing like an 89m MF especially in the first-half of last season, he wouldn't have been bashed. Nobody would doubt his value. When you're costliest player in the world (as of then), then expect all eyes to be on you.

I'm not referring to you. I'm only speaking generally.
The peeps who have roasted and grilled him for Christmas barbecue on these pages don't want to remember that there is always a bedding in time for every player. I wish we can go back to Vidic's first few games for us and see how terrible he was till he came good and became a United legend.

I saw him yesterday put in a mostly composed shift along side two other more experienced players and I know in time he will come good.

I'm going to ignore the above emboldened.
Because I don't expect Paul Pogba to be a top scorer, even in the NPFL with Nigerdock FC.

So how come he's been firing this season?
What happened that the goals and assists have started appearing?
Which miracle happened that suddenly turned on the effect, since he hadn't really changed the way he plays?
How come we haven't lost a league game yet when he starts?

Since you know how to analyze better than everybody else, explain to us why he is no longer shitty.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 11:29am On Dec 03, 2017
Let's get one thing clear, criticizing a player after series of bad games is not wrong neither is someone who maintains support for the same player...The desire to have the "we vs them" faction is strong here, so we just have to respect each others opinions and move on rather than making snide remarks at other posters or sections of the fans because of disagreements here and there...
I will like to see Lukaku rested for some games (Perceived easy games) not because he is as bad as others here think but cos he has been doing a lot of running up front and I fear for burnout later in the season, yesterday, at some point, I was screaming for Mou to replace him with Rashford cos he was exhausted but I guess Young was also exhausted, he couldn't carry the ball forward towards the tale end of the game...Bottom line is we all want the best for the club regardless of what we say during or after a match which is most times a little overboard...

Last season and this season are two different stories. Who was our best player last season that many fans wanted him given the arm band? How is the performance this season?

Mkhitaryan was good last season, particularly in the Europa. Where is he currently?

I still prefer Lukaku to Ibrahimovic. But Lukaku should be doing more and scoring the typical strikers' goals.

That was what RVP did in 2012/2013. Some of the goals he scored were half chances. Some kind of ball falls on a striker, and you begin to get up hoping to shout goal. Even Rooney 2009/10, 2011/2012.

Lukaku is fast, strong, tall, can shoot and jump. So what's the problem? I

Amen o. Lukaku isn't the finished article yet, and thank God he knows this. He needs to improve on his off the ball movement as well as his finishing. No be everything be shot. A little placement or chip goes a long way most times.

But thr only way he can improve is if he continues playing and there's someone on his neck telling him his little mistakes and how to improve on them.

As a striker, your off the ball movement and ability to put the ball in the net are the most important. if that's where he is lacking and needs to improve only justifies why he is getting the criticisms he is getting.

I'd prefer Fellaini as 10 since he is more mobile than Ibra and play a double pivot of Matic - Herrera...Martial - Lukaku - Lingard should keep their place, you know what they say, if it's not broken, don't fix it...

I dont even have any response for the above.
You only want to use the excuse above to suit your narrative and apparently justify your harsh criticism.
Me I'm no king of argument like you. I only call it as I see it. Mkhitarian has been average overall from last season.Bought in the same window as Pogba.

Pogba has suddenly become a talisman for us in the league and it is almost decided that we would struggle vs City without him.
Your only response is that this season is different.
Issokay.
Happy Sunday.

I'm not even going to dispute your claim that he was poor last season. I will just leave it like dat given that I think that claim is debateable.

We need all hands on deck to get anything from that match. Fella can't do it alone up front he ll be crowded out and we know he doesn't have the brain to outfox anyone. Zlat with him will give city a handful and also allow others get in. Z10 might be slow, but he has football brain.

Just to add:
You know you're useless when you can't score at home vs a supposed useless team for 20 minutes with a man advantage.

You know you are useless when you have 71% possession and 33 attempts at goal and have only one goal to show for it after 98 minutes

You know you are useless when you scream for penalty at 3-1 down with 3 minutes to go as reason why you lost.

You know you are useless when Jesse Lingard scores a brace against you in your own stadium.

Lindelof wasn't even flawless yesterday, but we are all happy because he is showing signs of improving and was generally solid.
Imagine if someone from nowhere took his time to analyse his performance yesterday with the sole purpose of looking for faults and hanging those faults on his neck like Bling Bling, for no other reason than 'he cost xyz million'.

Elampiro, I will let your blanket statement about Pogba's half season performance and out of context link fly because I'm not in a position to go in depth now, maybe later in the day.. But the above was what was happening to Pogba last season and that to me was unnecessary.
It may look necessary to you, but it wasn't to me. We can leave it at that.

He is playing well now and everyone is happy. Let's leave it at thatm

what is really not fair is when some people feel because you are a united fan then you must see positives in everything and not criticise when you feel a player or the coach is doing something wrong.

People have a right to criticise whatever they feel is wrong. it is only a superior agument to counter that criticism that can make all of us at least try to be on the same page.

it seems some people are even angry that anything united is being criticised whether wrongly or rightly.

I feel Lukaku should be doing more than he is doing and that's my opinion. it does not mean he is not trying.
