lawyers in the USA doesn't wear the wig and gown, they don't even have a specific dress code because I have seen American lawyers appear in court dressed in blue suits.I want to see lawyers in Britain and other secular Commonwealth countries with a similar dress code with Nigeria admit a female lawyer wearing a hijab then I would take this serious.
first is Sikh judge in the UK in his turban on a judicial function.

Second is a lawyer in the UK .

Even if you see evidence of a British hijabi being called to the bar, you will still disagree based on bias.

The similitude of this is:

Why is Nelson Mandela fighting when his people have been enslaved for centuries. Failing to call that lady to the bar is UNJUST.
I just showed him a Sikh UK judge.

she didn't disobey any part of Nigeria constitution, rather she applied the Nigeria constitution to the later by executing section 38 of Nigeria constitution which guarantee freedom to religion.
Note! Nigeria constitution is supreme to law school act or any other act in Nigeria.

the law must be upheld until we decide to change it. I just did a Google search and Americans surely don't have a dress code for lawyers, I also noticed from the picture that the lady was not even in the middle of a ceremony when she snapped that picture. Catholic nuns who are lawyers respect the legal dress code so while should Muslims raise dust over a dress code that they have been respecting even before independence? pointless religion in this country is a major cause of violence and backwardness.
go back and research more.

The comments here shows there are many christian fundamentalist just as we have muslim fundamentalist. U all should be ashamed of yourselves. There are some issues that shouldn't be up 4 discussion in this 21st century Nigeria. Why are lawyers still wearing 'wigs'? Isn't that the culture of the british? Can't we have ours? Even in the developed world,muslim/sikh women can wear their head coverings on their uniforms, why not here in Nigeria? We suppose don ass all these things honestly.

If I may ask, between Bible and Nigeria constitution which one is supreme to you as a Christian??

Are you aware that no government exists without God's knowledge. Bible is not in a competition with Nigerian Law. They are not in the same league.

I asked a couple of questions. You never attempted to answer any but you resorted to ask me another question.

The truth is that, God is MORE interested in your heart as I highlighted earlier.

Maybe you need to be reminded THAT GOD IS SPIRIT. This will help to understand the dimension of His operations the more.

Rubbish
U spend 6yrs studying Nigeria law only to decide to disobey the law at the end. If the Nigerian law profession is not good for their kind of Islam, why study it?
Islam permits beating of someone's wife, so assuming this girl becomes a judge and the issue of assault is brought to her by a hajiya, she will place the tenets of Quran above the law.

She is better off studying Islamic studies. Secular law is a haram, as long as the quran is not the Constitution, rather the Constitution was coined by unbelievers, then she has no business with it. She should have concentrated on becoming a sharia lawyer.

HYPOCRITES

Ur point is correct and valid bt it sis still a debatable issue. In the same circular constitution/law there is smtn called religious tolerance which also shud address or guide dresscode issues however sadly it doesn't do this in specific areas and operations like work or skol and in many countries like eve the us it caused a debate with had to be looked into and addressed bt the courts. Its NOT Hypocrisy bt Relgious Tolerance issues and limits.

A simple question to ask is: does our constitution make provision for freedom to religious affiliation? Yes, it does! To those spewing nonsense about the young lady exercising her fundamental human right, I wonder if u people haven't chosen to blindly support unfairness in a bid to attack a religion you hold in high contempt. I am not surprised that our judicial system is in a sorry state, when those we all acclaim to be the adjudicators and clear interpreters of the law are now reading the law upside down. SAY NO TO UNFAIRNESS

What sense are you making here by failing to address the main issue. The instruction says, don't wear the wig on top of your hijab. How did she manage to graduate with 2.1 when she can't follow simple instruction?
How can she uphold the constitution and what the law stipulates without religious sentiments?
Why couldn't she obey and respect the law, at least for the few minutes or hours which the session will take?

I bet she must have sort her way through the university and law school else, she should have weighed the consequences of failing to respect the law on the day of her call to bar.

I pity this country

As for denying me of my rights, we are used to that in the south. Moreover in Islam there is nothing like human rights wen it concerns women who can be bundled off at a young age to marriage amidst tears

Like seriously, answer my question bro, I don't care about the girl's stupidity, she isn't the first and won't be the last core religious fanatic to be called to bar, there are tons of thousands doing well, but my question to you is, does your religion teaches you to contravene the law of the land just to please him?, Jesus didn't teach me that way and can back it up with biblical references. If you can't provide an answer just simply back off my mention.

You should have tried to know if she had know what the rules were before she decided to go into the law profession. Law is a profession governed by it ethics which must not be broken because of your ethnic or religious interests therefore if you must practice law, practice in accordance with the law not your belief. If she feels that her right has been violated then as someone who believes in the judiciary system let her go to court or did she not trust the profession she's going into? If she won't go to court to pursue redress then let all these social media trials stop.

I am not a catholic. I don't have to copy them. You MAY even find Catholics who will say Muslims obey God must than Catholic in sregard to dressing. So he Catholic practice is not binding on me and not absolute
Furthermore, I hope you know that if a woman is raped and she goes to the hospital, some catholic doctors will not give her the drug required to prevent pregnancy
The doctor will also not tell the ra.pe victim. She will only discover when she later gets pregnant
