Law school is publicly funded and it is settled in Nigeria by the constitution and case laws that a ban on hijab amounts to infringement of her fundamental human right. Therefore law school cannot ban the hijab. It so unconstitutional. And it is not about the wearing but about the harm it would cause. We should also revisit how the whole legal dress code is influenced by one religion. safarigirl: |

BetaThings:Quran says that a female child have to reach of age to decide wether she will wear hijab, hijab is arab dress code not Allah injuction, Arabs in the deserts had been wearing hijab before the coming of muhammed to protect their hair against desert dust and wind, male arabs also wear hijab even now. Even some Arab muslim countries that understand koran more than black african muslims have ban the use of hijab because it cause female children to suffocate under high temperature and also causes smelling and menengities. The real Arabs muslims dont even allow this black African muslims to near the inner kaaba. 1 Like |

newsynews: I’m very positive she doesn’t know what an hijab is ? I will give a proper definition. The hijab is a head covering, generally a veil or a scarf, worn in public or in the presence of non-familial adult males by some Muslim women. The hijab is an often misunderstood religious and cultural symbol and custom. One question madam hijab , was hijab on your head when they gave birth to you ? You were told about it and you want to disturb people? Your religion is your heart and not what you falsely put for us to see, be obedient that’s show a good traits of well thought religion. |

Sterope:so,now you accept Law School is public property and everyone has a stake in it? So, why should the requirements of one section of the public create such drama? So, tomorrow the Christians in Law School will come up with some belief of theirs that they want implemented and we will have another round of arguments? Another time, traditionalists too, will talk their own and Law School will become a mad house because they allowed someone's religious beliefs prevail in a formal institution. Very nice 1 Like |

Odingo1: You don't know what you are talking about And it is unfortunate that you simply believe that knowledge is dictated by colour of the skin Actually the best advice anyone can offer you is to acquire knowledge first Then you can qualify to post on the matter of the Qur'an As regards which Muslims are more knowledgeable, has any muslim commented on whether the party of Pastor T B Joshua and Mr Freeze is more knowledgeable than the side of Pastor Adeboye and Pastor Ashimolowo? It was there in koran that wearing of hijab is optional, it was never Allah directive to female muslims.Hijab wearing was in practice by Arabs before the coming of Muhammed. It is you Nigeria muslims that is making hijab a big deal because of wahabi conservative lifestyle in Saudi Arabia that Nigeria sunni muslim was copying. |

davolax: On the contrary, if I was a lawyer and was running a firm, I would not even need to look at her cv. She is automatically hired. I love her strength of character and conviction. As for her failure, that is not in her hands or the hands of the bar association. Go and see hungry lawyers like flies outside the courtrooms begging for N500 'affidavit' to obtain for you. Wealth is by the power of Allah Alone. As for 'success', it is only unbelievers who think that it can be measured by bank account or private jet. True success is in the hereafter not here and she is achieving that insha Allah. I wish all Muslims were like her, instead of the vast ocean of dithering, ingratiating, apologetic majority that claim Islam today. Sincerely speaking, she is a heroine as far as I am concerned. |

Why did Russia ban it as a sovereign country? He claims without being able to bring evidence that Hijab is optional. Akkord4gov:your brother doesn't have the knowledge of he's doing. go to oil companies you'll see brothers with thick beard working there not as assistant but Oga. he failed himself not ALlaah. Having beard doesn't determine your success what would be would be, what would not be would not be even if you strive beyond your strength. can't you see pple who doesn't have any formal education being wealthy, that shows compromising the religion would make you a better person in the society so if someone marries and didn't bear fruit, will you say it's cos they didn't have sex? If it's sex that determines pregnancy, then every sexual act should lead to pregnancy. If your brother had been patient, ALlaah would bring forth for him something better than that and he would be rewarded for been patient. If the Prophet compromised the message, then nothing would be known as Islam today. As wretched as Abu Hurayrah was, ALlaah brought forth wealth for him at last, if the companions had the kind of attitudes we have for Islam today, then we won't be sending prayers to them today. so forget about the compromise your brother made due to his weak state of mind as standard |
