The Anderlecht coach is ridiculous.. The man is the highest scorer in the league, highest scorer in your team and you leave him on the bench for your biggest game.

If he can't play as a striker, then play him in his best position.. Too much talk..

If not for Henry's goals, he'd have been sent out of the squad.

Omo, think (or shall we say READ) before you talk/post. Go back and check my posts, I was probably the first person who stated clearly during this discussion that Mo Salah, Mane, and Auy are better players than VicMo.

But the point I was trying to make on my last post has nothing to do with Mane v VicMo or anything. I was just evaluating the EPL players of the season and my conclusion was, based on what I saw (and I watched more than 80% of all EPL matches last season, including 100% of all matches featuring the top teams), some of the players selected have no business making the team. And I listed names plus the names of the players who could've been selected instead.

Again, next time read before you respond because I don't like to repeat myself.

O pari

Jarus:

Oga, more than 500 EPL players that did the voting know better than you. They knew Moses before considering Mane for EPL 11.

World coaches and captains that picked Mane among top 30 in the world knew Moses before choosing Mane.

But you sitting behind your TV thinks he did better than Mane.

Well said bro.

It is even sadder that with the myriad of Nigerian players in Europe, the only person we are banking on is Vis Moses. Is he the only one earning salary?

A wing back for that matter. Where are the so-called attackers?

I once argued that our Stars may not just be doing well enough to catch their coaches attention but my argument was refuted on the grounds that the coaches have no plans for some of our players.

I can understand if some coaches are adamant and insist on certain players but in the case of nacho (a very talented player, and it pains me to write this), you can't just be going down like that and blame it on Claude or pep.

These coaches gave you opportunities; what did you do with them?

In the world of football, competition is stiff and even if you are given a cameo appearance, make maximum use of it because there are many players waiting for you to slip-up to take your position, even the coaches are under pressure to deliver and may not have patience with unproductive attackers. This is the plain truth.

Mangala was a burst before pep came and he has improved greatly, pep knows how to bring out the best from players. Why was Nacho's case different?

If we want to start celebrating our players, we need to start demanding more from them, CAF award or FIFA awards are no joke. I pray our players prove themselves as world beaters in Russia.

I heard recently that Rohr has visited some of the clubs where our players ply their trades to demand for more playing time for some of them. Nice one sir but that's the best he can do. It's left to them to demand for loan or permanent moves to get more playing time or else face the grim reality that they may not be in Russia. I trust Rohr

My 2 cents
this is such an unforgivably stupid question

What did he do with them? Were you asleep when Kelechi was scoring goals with cameos? Was your TV off when even pundits could not understand why Pep benched Nacho despite the fact that he performed when Jesus and Aguero were out?

And how many opportunities did Claude Puel give Kelechi that you are asking this mumu question?

Such an unforgivably useless question that reeks of ignorance. I am pissed off that you would even ask something so stupid just because you want to make some point.

Lol. Only blind men will overlook Salah, Mane and aubameyang for Moses.

FIFA was not blind.
World coaches are not blind.
Over 500 EPL players cannot be blind.
Bundesliga analysts are not blind.
Italian journalists are not blind
Chelsea fans are not blind.
Liverpool fans are not blind.
CAF technical committee are not blind
BBC viewers are not blind

But you here want us to believe they are blind to rank Mane, Salah and aubameyang high.

Now we know who has African mentality.

Plain hard undeniable truth

Listen, I don't care who voted for whom. I watched a vast majority of the games myself. And it would take a suspension of disbelief to convince me that Dele Alli was better than Kevin DeBruyne last season. No one can tell me that Gary Cahill was better than Virgil Van Djik last season.

If you noticed, this was the PFA team of the season. The players themselves voted for their peers who stood out during the season.

England to play Nigeria in Wembley friendly as part of their 2018 World Cup preparations

The Three Lions will play Nigeria in a World Cup warm-up game

England have lined up a Wembley friendly against Nigeria as part of their World Cup preparations.

The Super Eagles will be one of two opponents for England, the other likely to be against Latin American opposition, before they depart for Russia.

The Football Association wanted England to face African opposition ahead of their World Cup opener against Tunisia in Volgograd on 18 June.

They considered facing Ghana or Senegal, who they could face in the last-16 depending on their standings in the groups. But England have chosen Nigeria, with the popular following the Nigerian national team thought to have been a factor behind the decision.

England will make the announcement official once their second June friendly has been confirmed.

After playing the two friendlies, Gareth Southgate and his squad will fly to Russia and to their training base in Repino, a town just north of St Petersburg, towards the Finnish border. Then they will head to Volgograd to face Tunisia, Nizhny Novgorod for Panama and Kaliningrad to play Belgium on 28 June.

The list came out with about 2 matches to go. lukaku and kane were still topping the chart.

Gary Cahill was the weakest link in Chelsea defence line last season. He was so poor that people like me started questioning how he became Chelsea's captain. Is it because he plays for England? Well, your guess is as good as mine.

Dele Alli had a fantastic season but to compare him with Kevin DeBruyne is ridiculous.

Alexis Sanchez is a more complete footballer than Harry Kane. There's no contest.

I never made a case that Moses ought to be included in the list, simply because I knew that Kyle Walker was the best RB in EPL last season.

O pari

Kog45:
My man that's the EPL team of the year list so no debate.

I can only make case for Aguero but not forgetting that Lukaku had a great season with average Everton.Last season was awesome for Dele Ali and better than DeBryune.Nobody would picked Alex Sanchez over Harry Kane.Cahil was all there doing it for Chelsea.

On Vic Moses he had a better player in that position in Kyle Walker who had a great season with Tottenham that made Pep to splash cash on him.

Doesn't stop the fact that Salah, Aubameyang and Mane did better than Moses even in 2016/2017.
I wholeheartedly disagree with you. I mean com'on dude, what are you guys even saying?
I read earlier someone saying it would have been injustice to African football if Moses got nominated in the top 3 or even win the best player award. I just laugh. Same thing you guys said years ago when Mikel was best positioned to win the award.

The way some og you castigate and letdown our players, your own countryman, is shorking. This is NOT sentiment, this is me purely being realistic here. I mean, many of you will even go the lenght to dig up facts and figures to back up your arguments on why outher people are better than your own. Yet, these people you are raising to the high heavens will NEVER let their own people down just to support a Nigeria, NEVER! It will never happen in the Northern part of Africa, in the Francophone countries or anywhere else in African. You need to spend time with these people to see how they despise us and constantly feel threaten by our exploits... Yet, they will never ever ever ever pick a Nigerian FIRST above their own,

Moses in all ramification deserve to be in the top 2 of the AFOTY Award, or even win it if Africa were to be sincere enough without being Bias. But no, because they now feel threatened by us, even a mediocre won the award ahead of a magical JayJay Okocha.

My point is simple: you guys should stop letting our players down all in the name of being sincere. This is not sincerity, it is bias, unpatriotic, and ignorance to assume that Caf got it right. If you are a student of International Affairs, especially in Africa, you will understand all my points here.

A player got converted to a new position, played it flawlessly, won the EPL title and did well with his national team and you're here telling me about goals and bla bla bla.

In case you don't know, Moses didn't win the BBC award partly because the English FA and their press, including the players haven't foegiven him for ditching them for Nigeria. This was why Liverpool almost frustrated his life because a certain Gerald didn't want him in the team.

We should learn to see beyond the ordinary and see things as they trully are. Moses deserve our support now and always!

I'm just being objective. you may not even be as passionate about Nigerian football/footballers as I am. If I had a vote, I might even vote for Moses out of Nigerian patriotism.

But sport analysis is different. Those 3 guys did better than Moses in the period under review. I will be making a fool of myself arguing what I don't believe.

All hard facts prove Moses don't deserve top 3.

Spoke in one accord, ke? Bruh, it was a popularity contest ... nothing more, nothing less. That's why we should stop putting too much stock in those individual awards in a team sports.

For instance, how many times did Kobe Bryant won the league MVP in the NBA? But every NBA fan can tell you that Kobe was the BEST player of his generation.

The bitter truth is that Delle Ali had a phenomenonal season, even Real Madrid took notice. If I was in a position to choose, I would have awarded him the league Mvp last season. That's me being honest.
It would take a dishonest person to question his place in the Premiership 11,last season.

As for the black Mamba, he was the greatest. His record is pristine. We are talking about someone who had the record all star Mvp award. He was the real definition of a champ.

I only pointed an observation that Moses was a wing back and it'll be nice if one of our attackers could also vie for the award.
