Who talked about trophies?

No be una Moses people dey talk about trophies.

This thing is based on individual perforamance. Gaskiya. I have said that here many times.

Martins never deserved African best in any year. You were the one that brought him into this argument.

If Martins never deserved African best, don't you think he at least he deserved to be nominated for 2004/2005 season?

Abi can you explain why FIFA recognized Martins if thoroughly he did nothing?

Dong Shortlisted for FIFPro Young Player Award
China U-20 forward Dong Fangzhou has been shortlisted with some of the game's biggest names for the first FIFPro Young player of the Year award, which will be presented on September 19 in London.

FIFPro, the worldwide representative organization for professional players, released their shortlist of 12 names for the award on Thursday, which included the 20-year-old Chinese striker alongside Holland's Arjen Robben, Brazilian Robinho, Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo, Freddy Adu of the United States and England's Wayne Rooney.

Dong was signed by English Premier League giants Manchester United from China Super League side Dalian Shide in a high-profile transfer last year. He spent last season at United's feeder club, Royal Antwerp, scoring six goals as they finished fourth in Belgium's second division.

Dong was also part of the China squad that finished second at the AFC Youth Championship in 2004, scoring the winner in his side's 1-0 victory against Qatar during the group stage.

FIFPro Young player of the Year award nominees:

Dong Fangzhou (China), Javier Mascherano (Argentina), Wayne Rooney (England), Arjen Robben (Holland), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Germany), Robinho (Brazil), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Cesc Fabregas (Spain), Rio Mavuba (France), Giorgio Chiellini (Italy), Obafemi Martins (Nigeria), Freddy Adu (United States).

This is the time to lure him to the WC. He is going to be a very good addition to the WC team.

Is that how the Coach criticizes all his players? or is Onyekuru the only player that is not measuring up to par in the team.

Funny thing is that you do not get to hear the Coach's criticism about the main striker.

This Coach is not a good man manager as far as he continues with Onyekuru's criticism in the media.

If Onyekuru is not performing well in the striking role. He should teach him.

Forgiveness stop judging Onyekuru with his Coach's criticism.

The same thing happened at everyone between koeman and niasse. I think it was even worse for Niasse because the coach wasn't playing him and went to the media saying he had no plans for him

The only thing; Niasse was cool headed and responded positively by working on his game

And we all know how it turned out.

APOTY
does V. Moses deserves to win?
NO.
Does he deserves to be in the final 3? YES.

If I must confess, a part of me is happy and at the same time the other part of me is sad. We will have to wait another year before Nigerian can have a shot at the award again.

My happiness stems from the inability of V. Moses to clinch the most glamourous continental individual award in football. For the sake of the national team, a team in high gear, preparing for the World cup in 6 and a half months time needs the least form of distraction.

The Moses I 'knew' will grow wings and become complacent if he had won/win either of the versions of the award(BBC n CAF) which won't benefit the team at the long run.

I believe he is a strong man and hopefully he'll handle this disappointment well. I see him been spurred to do more next year. Which will benefit both him and the nation.
THIS IS JUST MY VIEW.

Even before the coach confirmed he can't play the CF role I already knew and said he can't. Forget the coach matter.

While we r arguing the Cafe awards, the players of Rivers united protesting or should I say pleading with Rivers state governor to pay their entitlements since 2014 b4 Sharks and Dolphins were merged to become Rivers united. But this is bad from the governor to allow grown men lie flat and kneel and look comfortable with it despite the fact that they are asking for what's their right.

Poor image for our league. I personally don't mind if we v just 8 teams in the league so far they do things professionally including paying as at when due.

This makes me so angry.. Grown men with families begging to survive... It is so sad... This is why Nigeria players rush abroad..

This same Wike is paying millions to bring Real Madrid academy to PH.. Ridiculous..

We need to stop this government management of league teams and make it more private sector oriented. This means that people must be willing to pay more at venues and buy team jerseys. Private investors need to get involved as well. Clubs must be run profitably. This government business model does not work.

Nigeria under 15 beat Pepsi academy 3:0

Posting these pictures because in the next under 17, these boys ages would be doubted..

These guys look older than 15 year old boys.
I am highly convinced they have slashed 2/3 of their ages. They are older than what they have declared. In short you can see the no 10 & 12 look so malnourished.

I am speaking from **experiential knowledge** of what is common with the Nigerian sports terrain.

I don't believe their declared ages gringringrin

Joel Obi did his thing once again for 75mins as his team beat Roma in Rome. It ended Roma 1 vs 2 Torino. Nura Abdullahi made Roma match day squad but spent the whole game on the bench.

1. Ujah has always scored in Germany.

2. Rohr has shown his affinity with the Germany league.

3. A good goal return for Ujah could easily earn him an invitation
