They Too Came They too came With smiles on their faces With hearts sharing compliments They came with their bible in hands. They too shook hands Allowing each other palm to grind tightly They too shared hugs With loved ones and friends around. They too entered the church And sat among joyful souls In those white plastic chairs In those golden chairs around the pulpit. They too listened And sang when the time came by They too danced And said to God we give praise. They too closed eyes And held hands to pray To pray alongside eager soul Waiting to let out a thunderous shout. They too tickled on the clock And did the countdown They too shouted happy new year Even though it was their last.
