I'm not calling him terrible bro, But we've got a lot of players out there literally begging for a chance.

Like who and who...

Mikel Agu was performing to his best in Portugal scoring like no other before he was invited to super eagles

Players performing very well in their team doesn't really mean they will perform very well in super eagle..

Some it is a matter of time before they jelly into the team...

Yes but so is any other major tournament hosted around the world

If the major aim of setting up the CHAN is to entice players to play in their local league, then the aim is defeated.

We want to see fresh blood from the NNL in the NPFL. I hope the newly promoted clubs will be like MFM was last season.

one new player to watch out for, coming from the NNL is Micheal Ohanu, he scored a couple of hattricks last season and he is NNL player of the season (officially, he has an award to that effect) and he was the highest goal scorer with 22 goals.
he plays for kwara united

Another player from the NNL now in the NPFL is TOSIN OMOYELE he is now with Plateau united and he came in from Osun united, he hit double digits for the omoluabi giants I think he had 15 goals all season . he is actually easy to identify as he is almost an albino, but not fully his hair is not black and not fully blonde.

I will post the pictures of the 2 players if I lay my hands on them

Pls Kindly remove that Mikel Agu.

I am not a fan of Mikel Agu.

But you have to name a player you will replace him with.

Austin Ejide was first choice goalie at Etoile Du Sahel with lots of international exposure at CAF level
Vincent Enyeama was first choice goalie at Enyimba with also continental exposure. Both goalies also were consistent with their club sides in their respective leagues.

The bolded is why I have stated that the CHAN tournament should be age restricted. We need to achieve something from it.

Haven't seen your post before I posted mine...
Thank you sir...

How many of the goal keeper below 25 performing at their best in various club?

Being deteriorated cos Na chance being given to local and grass root footballers ...

Remember interview of ikechuckwu coach of mfm saying he smuggle Odey into his team cos they tagged him too small for the club...

He talked about how he begged the management to allow him join the team for training...

Ejide was still in Gabros as a youngster when he made his super eagles debut.

He already had a few caps before he moved abroad.

International exposure could have played a part in his move to North Africa.

Ejide performance then can't be compare to those we have now...

If I can remember well might be wrong ejide played for gabros united before he joined etiodul Sahel in Tunisia and move all the way to be a first goalie for several seasons

What is the purpose of having below 25 that are not performing very well in their team...

Goal keeper position is about the higher you age the better you become unlike the defender and striker position where age always caught up with them...

We have seen goalkeeper playing till 35 - 40...

There time will come... In next two or three years we will have series of performing goalkeepers in every corner of Europe and NPFL.... Just matter of time
Let do with what we have now...

New goalkeeper trainer, new fitness trainer ...

Let just give them chance... That is it...

Ejide started playing for the super eagles when he was in Gabros as a teenager.

Afeez Aremu just got a deal because scouts watched him play in the WAFU cup. Chikatara moved to north Africa on the back of a decent CHAN.

How about giving young potentials that opportunity? No foreign club will buy Rabiu Ali at 40 years. Or Ezenwa/Ajiboye/Afelokhai.. They are old and can't be taught new things.

International exposure at national/club level could also have played an important role in Ejide's move to north Africa.

If he did not get the opportunity at an early age, he might never have moved.

The CHAN tournament should be a discovery/exposure tournament. Get our young talents the needed exposure, that could be critical.

Olorunkeke Ojo is supposed to be fairly young (22 yrs) and had one of the best performances in the league.

How has it not been the case? Did somebody tell you that we are running out of players? In 3 CHAN competitions not too many players signed deals abroad. Most of those players are still in the league.

yes he is good but ali is more experienced
onuwa time will come

Firstly, you said is there a better midfielder and now you moved to experience. Are you trying to say Rabiu Ali is the best we can offer in the whole 20 teams of Nigerian league, I know Ojo is there but I seriously dont think Rabiu is gonna pull any surprises. He might pull a moment of excellence but he is very inconsistent. Talking about experience, why is Chinedu Udoji not there since you are crazy about experience.

Chima Akas and Afeez Aremu just got deals with no trial after WAFU cup. That is a rare thing for NPFL players.

Chikatara got a deal after CHAN same with Ejike.

Not everyone will get deals but some will. The exposure will provide opportunities for players to earn good deals abroad.

Rather than the CHAN being an incentive for players to stay behind, like you said,it has remained a major spring board for so many local league players to move abroad. I cannot name the number of players that have found European clubs due to their performances in both the CHAN qualifiers and the CHAN tournament itself.

Apart from a few new additions in attack and replacement for newly foreign based, we just presented the same WAFU team. The best defender is injured.

Osas Okoro, who was a weak link is still in the team. We still have the same tree chopping CBs.

What is the point of playing Rabiu Ali? He is in his 40s. There is no super eagles future. How about a young and promising CM? Is the 40 year old Ali still the best midfielder in the league? Ifeanyi Ifeanyi is average at best. The midfield is very thin.

I am happy to see young faces in the attack, Nura and Sunday, hopefully they get plenty minutes.

Who is the best defender that is not there and who are the tree chopping center backs...Let me just hope you are not refering to Ariwachukwu and Steven Eze.
