This isn't possible and that was why Sir Isaac Newton said : He can calculate the motions of the planets but he can't calculate the madness of men.

Managing emotions isn't it. People want to buy, people want to sell. Some are even in love with what they buy. Some get hysterical during bull or bear. Hence you can't when the dominoes will start falling and you see people rushing for the door.

An analogy is this: when you see people running from Ojuelegba towards Yaba, naturally you must run. And when running, you will be asking the others running with you what is chasing them. The usual reply is: I ran because I saw you run too.

And as many people run, those who see them will run faster triggering a mad rush. They will run and ask questions later.

This is how crashes start, then the dominoes keep falling on themselves.

I pray we will not be there when the crash starts. I will be taking my 4th bottle of Heineken with Nkwobi. grin

2008 is still so fresh n my mind.

And that fear seems to be cutting short of my profit during this bull but I no fit complain. I have been locking in profits now and then, at the slightest provocation.

Preservation of capital. I cannot come and carry last again. I still remember what I lost after 2008.

I remember on that our old "home", one guy that took a facility of over N40M and dumped it on NSE. I have forgotten his name!

N40m is tuition fee to school abroad as international student cheesy

NSE go still collect Tuition fee this time around. Everyone is now an expert! We go collect testimonies later.

Happy Investing.

problems as from March ending 2018. Don't ask me how.

Oga Wanaj0, N40M in 2008 was far more that international school fees abroad. I pray none of us in the forum will pay NSE tuition fees this year. Worse case, let it be broker fees. LOL.

But on a lighter note, you can't afford not to take risk in this life. It's more risky not to take risk at all. We must play with NSE, either we lose or we gain.

I thought the brokers are supposed to know when best to buy, how can u buy something that opened at 0.75 and closed at 0.77 for me at 0.79. is that how it works. am new in this still trying to understand

Calm down oga. Trust me ur broker knows what he is doing. There must be some kind of treasure there for him to have bought. So relax. Do some research on your own as well. I am less than a year here too. Still learning

The N40m then was to pay for the 4years of undergraduate course.

When you gamble. you should know that you are gambling and not investing. Just watch as companies that have not released results for years will start gaining prices. Soon you will be hearing that price of Dangote Flour is too high so can I BUY Onwuka Interbiz instead?

A very good morning to all the Ogas grin finally my account is ready but I'm confused grin grin I don't know what to buy oo.. these were the stocks I had in mind before all this account opening delay..

UBA
Access
Fidelity
Transcorp
Diamond

Are they still a good buy @ current price ?

I don't know when this madness will be over, but I expect a temporary halt by the end of next week.

First Bank, UBA, access, FCMB, fidelity, Flour Mills, UAC is okay on the long run.

A lot is gradually going on at UACN, the MD will retire this month. Abdul Sule will come on board, I am a living witness to the miracle Sule performed at CAP plc.

The stock price moved from about N3 to N30, Elemide came on board and it moved to N70, before enjoying bonuses of 1 for 1 and another 1 for 3. My mentors portfolio size in that paint company should be close to N200 million
