people with no travel history has been issued visa before and are still being issued visa till date, same goes for denials. this also includes people with travel history.

USA visa is looking more like a 50/50 thing, cos no one knows the exact criteria used.

I think there's a kind of profiling done based on the contents of the ds160 and a recommendation based on the profiling.

maybe what they just do at the interview is body language profiling, with the initial recommendations' from the ds160 in mind
.

or maybe it's Just based on the mood of the VO cheesy

And if it happens that I submit my DS160 form on the morning of my interview and was yet granted the visa? Anyways, it's just a THINKING like you said sha!

True that on travel history.... But loads of other variables are checked in combination to arrive at a decision we mostly must have observed by now.

Hello everyone, one of my friends just applied for a B1/B2 visa and his interview is scheduled for February 9.
His reason for traveling is to visit Disney land in Orlando Florida. He is married with no child but the wife is pregnant. He works as the head of operations in a Bank with a whooping salary. He lied in his form that he did his masters in the UK but carries a Virgin passport. What is your advice for him?

Fire, fayayayaya!!! It follows that this your friend may hardly be a bank worker, may neither be receiving a whooping salary, may even not be married nor his wife pregnant. What is he going to do in Disneyland by the way?

He will be found out if he dares going to the interview with that UK part sustained in his profile! His hands will get burnt most assuredly.... #PrettyDumb

Ummnm... U were asked EXACTLY the normal questions every one else is asked. U just feel he didn't ask the questions you wanted to hear.
If you have 13m then show them that by traveling to another (not Ghana or Dubai) country then reapply after a reasonable amount of time for example 6 months

Thanks for your response but my travelling schedule date was March ending before with my family for Easter vacation but should I apply for schegen visa now and we can go for Valentine things to build up the history and I will later apply for yankee for maybe summer time

I have up too 13.1m in my account and even don't bother to ask
pls guru what can really caused the vo to denied us because he didn't ask us normal questions we are to be ask
You don't have good enough travel history and most time you should use the opportunity of answering questions to chip in your strong ties because V.O sometimes deliberately will not ask you the obvious questions.

I can tell you categorically it's never a 50/50 thing with U.S visa.... if you have a good ds160 form.. the interview is for you to contradict it...or add more sense to it. Although I know they do a lot of profiling by going through IP's,number of application, work duration etc. and lastly psychological assessment.

Based on several transcripts I have read here, solid travel history like UK and Schegen plays a major influence in getting the visa. No doubt, very few people get with no travel history. US don't check documents so the only way to prove your financial capabilities is to get have good travel history especially with family.

The poster that has 13m in the account should travel for vacation this year with the family to UK and Schegen. Then reapply next year for US, most likely they would be issued the visa

Good evening house......
And I hubby are planning to travel to the states for our honeymoon. We already completed the ds-160 form online ourselves before I got to know about the thread.
I've been following for quite some time now and I noticed something. On the form, the part where we were asked about our US contact, we wrote the address of the hotel where we intend to stay. From what I've learnt so far from reading this thread, it's like we've made a mistake. Is there anything we can do?
Our interview is in Feb

@op I agree with the UK part. And the reapplying next year. Like I said before, if you truly have the 13m , then why can't you apply for UK? They verify documents and in my opinion is better than a shengen visa.
Again the reason it is reasonable to wait before reapplying is that, surely if thou have a job, you can't be globe trotting so many times in a year. Puts a question mark on your employment status

Hello gurus. Please I need all the advice I can get. I'm a 25yr old medical student in the carribean and I'm going for my clinical rotations in Chicago in May 2018. I want to apply for my US visa in April 2018 at ABJ [ that's the nearest available date ]. I'm going for the interview with my mum and my little sister [ 15 yrs and in secondary school ]. My mum has a visa before but it's expired. She can do Dropbox but she thinks following me will boost each other's chances. I have a letter from my school stating I'm a student and will be undergoing rotations at that hospital and one from the hospital I'll be doing the rotations at showing my schedule and also the signed agreement between y university and the hospital. I also have my receipt of school fees. My dad is the sponsor. He's retired but has pension of 700k+ monthly. He's already has visa so he's not coming. I've been to UK once and have a valid 2 year UK visa. I've applied for US visa in 2015 with my mum and was denied. My mum got it. The lady didn't say why tho. I have an uncle in the us and that was filled in my first form in 2015. Mum has travelled to US once and Malaysia. Sister has no travel history. What are the possible questions we'll be asked based on this profile? And would they look at my documents from school? Should we still fill that I have an uncle this time around? Thank you
1. Your mom following you will NOT boost your chances. If it didn't the first time went should it now?
2. Read the thread. That's why it's was created. So you can read and see the questions people were asked.
3. You should always fill the truth. Do u need to be told that sir?
4.Again, a little light reading will answer your documents question

Thanks for your kind reply I really appreciate so much though I don't have UK in mind earlier but it was a friend that got her own Yesterday that told me to do schegen that's was what she did though she's a lawyer been denied twice before she later travel to Paris through schegen.
Have already have it in mind that I won't try US anymore now because my wife leave is coming up by March and no way I can do a family with US this year again maybe till December then
what I need answer too now is can I can go through schegen or UK which one is the best
if it's a verify of documents no shaking with that I stand gidigba my balance have moved up before the days ends Yesterday

Thanks for not mincing words. The challenge is, his agent has declined comment and has also refused to send his login details for editing. Is there a way that it can be reset without contacting the agent so as to gain access to the DS-160. I need your response as soon as possible.
