I need to hear from people who are already living in new Zealand. Is it easy to get jobs? How easy is it for Nigerians to settle down. Please share your experience. Thanks.

Once you have 160 points and above, ITA is guaranteed irrespective of the occupation.
I need to hear Nigerians experience in NewZealand.

There are caveats as per occupation/employment... as stated here skilled employment.....not just any occupation

I doubt if it will be possible to run a full explanation on how to fill the SMC-EOI online cos of the nature of the application. The point is to start wherever you find difficult at any stage then you can ask questions here for possible answers.

Have you started the online EOI application already?

Anyway,here are few tips.

Create an account via this https://onlineservices.immigration.govt.nz/secure/Login+Skilled+Migrant.htm

When that is done, start filling the application.Make sure the wrong information indentifer is checked.you can check it top leftside of the app page.

Fill in your details accordingly, for every page you completed successfully and validated a yes will appear adjacent to the completed section

Note:any information marked asterix is compulsory of course the indicator will indentify any compulsory field you didn't see or fail to supply the appropriate information.

when you get to the recognised qualification section.

that's where you will have your qualification assessed preliminary using the information you fill in about your qualification.

click on the link for NZQA to explore the link for that.
At the NZQA portal you create and account and follow the registration prompt.when that is done then access your account to apply for PAR
After you are through with filling all the required information you will be required to pay for the assessment at the end of the 4th page/section.

After 20 working days the outcome will be email to you

Return to your online app to fill the REF number of the PAR and your qualification equivalent.

You can fill the entire online form before you do the PAR or You have it done before you proceed on the next section of the application

Point will be awarded base on age, recognised qualification & years of work experience base on your job.If your job is listed in LTSS list bonus point will be awarded if you get an offer of skilled employement.

If successfull in the entire process, the authorities will commence verification of all your claims before an ITA is issued

Thereafter, you will be compel to do the main assessement i.e IQA which cost $746 flat with return courier package you add $44 if it does n't increase

Like I said if you encounter difficulty at any stage feel free to ask questions.

God bless

A special greetings to all the elders in this thread. Please I need your advice on how to go about this Australia work permit, I was introduced to one agent and she told me that she is going to help me in processing the visa but she will take 1.8m but first I will have to make a deposit of 200k for a start then when my visa is out I will pay the remaining money.

And I also have another person who told me the same Australia work permit at the same rate of 1.8m and also Australia employment visa at 1.750m but I will have to make a deposit of 60k at a start. And he also tell me about New Zealand visa at the rate of 1.5m with a deposit of visa fees 65k. But the problem now is that I don't know how to go about it do to what is happening now in Nigeria through some so called agents. So please if there is any one on this thread that can help me with a good advice on how to go about it because am a kind of confused right now thank you all. I will really appreciate any good reply

I thought I was the only one that noticed that .no one has said I have gotten skilled immigrant visa.I don't think paying all those money is necessary .maybe first look for one of the skill exempt country and school then apply .

Employers will at the first instance ask you about your legal status and work rights before offering you a job which you do not have with your visit visa status. However, are they willing to sponsor you or wait for you to get a work visa? A lot of employers are reluctant to go through the process because it appears cumbersome, expensive and opens the company to scrutiny. If you are lucky to get a gig with one of the accredited employers, maybe maybe. Put in mind there are a lot of people already in the country with work rights too. You must be a specialist or have unusual skill sets they need for you to be considered.

It has not stopped. Draws are held fortnightly. It is just that the conditions are not so favorable to Nigerians living in Nigeria at the moment.
Refer to this link for the last draw statistics

If you are applying from outside New Zealand,You must have job offer no matter what score you have. That is why no one is getting ITA. Infact you cannot submit EOI without the job offer. You can try to fill the EOI and see if you can apply but I dont know about if you have experience in the absolute skill shortage
