Hello guys, please i need your opinion. I got an admission into Virginia International University to study masters in public administration and i have a bsc in mass communication. And i was supposed to resume jan 15th, but the admission came in late and I couldn’t meet up with getting a date for my interview. So i asked for a deferral for May session. Now my question is does Anyone here know about the school and how good the school is? And hope i wont be having issues concerning the change of course at the embassy?? Will be waiting for a reply thanks in advance.

Hello gurus in the house, I greet you all.
I have disturbing questions in need answers to.
I will love to pursue a master's degree programme in US schools in civil/structural engineering. My first degree was in civil/structural engineering too, but I graduated with a cgpa of 3.42 on a scale of 5.
Please gurus, I will like to find out,
What are my chances of getting admitted? I understand I will have to write gre and toefl and perform very well at it.
On a scale of 4,where does my cgpa fall?
Which schools am I likely to apply to that will consider my application for funding?
I have less than two years experience and some professional certificates, what are my chances with Stanford?
What sequence of steps am I to take?
Advice needed please.

Good morning everyone, please I'll like to know what happens if one is not able to meet up with 6:45am appointment due to unforseen circumstances. Would such person be allowed to be interviewed with the next batch. Thank you

Yes you have the grace of 1 hour lateness if the policy haven’t change.

Thank you. I was finding out for someone who ran into some unforseen circumstances on his way there this morning. Fortunately his visa was approved. I'll try and post a transcript when I get the full details. Although this person did not apply for a student visa. Thanks once again

Since you already know the school you want to go to, that's a big step. Now the next thing you do is go to their website. Check the program you want to study and you will see every info you need.

It's definitely well above 3.0/4.0. Something around 3.3+/4.0.

Below $300 but I advise you use WesIcarp which is the best and you can always request for a copy any time for the next 10 years.

So you mean with WESicarp, I wouldn't need to pay any money again incase I need it in future?

Also, how many year does this regular WES can last for?

House,

my application is at the conclusive stage with FIU.

My Transcript is under processing and the school went on strike just yesterday. Though am trying to make some contact in the school for consideration for me.

Also, My TOEFL Exam is march, while their application closes on February 15th for fall 2018.

The question now is "
Can I go ahead to safe and submit the application so that I will beat the deadline ,while I will be doing other attachments?

What if my transcript did not reach them before the deadline line as I leant that there may be some delay through WES?

I checked Stanford and there requirement is 3.95.yet to ascertain if it is on a 4 or 5 point scale which I did not meet. if that's the case, can a high GRE score can make up for it.
Please I'ld like to know other schools I can look towards that will consider my application.
Many thanks.

I just want to say something that seems needed here though it has been reiterated over and over again. Let's put in at least a bit of an effort, I understand how the USA dream might seem overwhelming but like some of the gurus have said USA isn't running away, and some questions are better answered by your graduate coordinator, people here would do their sincere best for you but there's no general rule. If you ask a question here, you should ask the graduate coordinator the same question just today I mailed my graduate coordinator at LSU and we interchanged four to five mails, and I can tell you I was clarified.

Secondly while you ask other questions here have it within you to start the simple search from Google at least you would always be surprised by what you would learn there. All I'm saying is we should be proactive to an extent.

The forum also has salient answers to the diverse nature of enquiries you could sit back read the forum and take notes. You would be surprised by how much you would learn you might even become an instant Guru cheesy through this assiduous prep.

For graduate students looking for school suggestions start with the "msinus" link then gradschools, gradcafe and a plethora of them. And please and please if you're just arriving to the scene read Femi321's post click on his username, there's a stepwise directive on what's hot and what's not grin.

I wish prospective students the best in their studies, life's battles doesn't always go to the stronger and wiser man the man who wins is the man who thinks he can. You think you can start with your own designated dig up for information and come the forum for clarification I am sure it would be a seamless process for both the enquirer and enquiree. Garcias

It doesn’t mean you wouldn’t need to pay again ooo, you wouldn’t need to pay to have it evaluated again but you would only need to pay for them to send it to any other school you want which is usually between 35 usd to 45usd
