I have said it before that the country risk is too high and disincentive to investment. A little threat from ND avengers is enough to truncate the bull ride..This should be a concern for anybody planning to hold stocks for long term in the midst of heightened uncertainties everywhere...Yours truly is watching the situation keenly as might have to pull out from the market for safety.

This one na to remind government that settlement money is due. Nothing to worry about.

Nigeria will likely add another 150,000 bopd to our production with the arrival of Egina FPSO in a matter of months. There is enough tail wind. Just watch the oil price.

Army robber cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Something is cooking in that company. Only issue is that the company is illiquid. When you go supermarkets and see how many of their milks and diary products are there you know that they are up to something.

The strategic partnership and investment was a master stroke

But it is an Indian company.

Yes it is. Some of the people are naturalised Nigerians. Some of them now have American and Nigerian passports and get visa to visit India. We have many 3rd generation 'foreigners' now.

Also Currentprice need to factor the contribution of OTHER INCOME to the profit of the company. Not sustainable.

That is true. But the joy of the reserve addition and production growth does not outweigh the political tension in the country. As you are aware, foreign investors rank political risk high in their risk matrix before any other thing. I just hope the government will wake up to its responsibility of providing a safe and enabling environment for businesses to thrive and investments to grow...Although, this may be a herculean task for a president that has placed priority on nepotism, sectionalism and favoritism above national interest.

We are making more money this year... smiley wink

My brother, the political risk is exaggerated! Foreign investors are more interested in sanctity of Contract and ability to repatriate their loot. Investors operate in war torn countries! They operate in very corrupt countries. Capitalists are only interested in MONEY. They are happy that there is no MPC because they know NOTHING is changing

The only thing that will drive them away is when your reserves start a free fall and they are not sure how they will carry their loot away. They don't invest with any EMOTION

Remember we had started talking about a new nitrogen gas to push the prices even be this bear. This was because most of the stocks propellers were already waning. I think that's where the issue of results come in, and incidentally, the said results have started streaming in, as we have indeed got the results of some companies.

MSCI MOVEMENT IN PORTFOLIO FOR THE PERIOD 25 JANUARY 2018

Very little movement in fund’s position for yesterday.

Caution: Investing is a risky venture. This is just my opinion and I cannot be liable for any loss suffered as a result of following this recommendation All data used are assumed to be correct, but you may need to verify some of the figures independently.

Cadbury umm

Daily: bearish (prev -ve div playing out)
Weekly: bearish (on its 2nd week of rest after testing 52 wk high)
Monthly: Neutral (long term consolidation is rounding up)
Trading above 200 ema (long term bullish in support of above)
BUY sig consideration is a close above its recent monthly high of N15.67

Other Observations:
- since breaking below N20 in Oct 2015 , its been consolidating for the last 2 years wt monthly RSI recently hitting a 3 yr high wh is good sign for a ''long term reversal'' .This may take days, weeks or months to manifest , big fund managers like this and will accumulate for long term
- price is also ard 2012 levels wt a similar pattern of RSI breaking into 3 yr highs and price broke out & kept making new yr highs till Dec 2013 wen wen it hit ard N100
- not a fan of the vol so hv not looked at this chart in ages , so many things i ''see '' but let me stop here before i complicate things further i beg.

Please House, having closed my portfolio as a stop-loss measure, really want the market to fully stabilise before I enter the train again, But alas, while this sidon look was just starting, my treacherous Damgote Sugar suddenly broke the resistance level which we have been waiting on for weeks, and even dare to go over #22 ! Dear friends, how I wouldn't like to miss this bus for anything, the way I missed gtb. But frankly, I'm
confused by the present radicalism of the stock and don't know what to do. If miss this bus what remains?
Please help me with your wealth of experience and wisdom. Pleeaasee. .....what should I do?

You should also check and see how this resistance got broken. Was it a last minute trade (push up's) or was it a gentle/normal break. Those nitty-gritty matters to me though.

To corroborate you, there was more heightened political risk in 2007 as the election drew near but NSE ASI kept moving Northwards throughout that year and right into the first quarter of 2008 until a non-political issue that had a bearing on foreign reserve crashed the market.
Foreign reserve is a liquidity of its own which attracts foreign investors even under a dictatorship.

I can't understand why you sold in the first place.
Is it because of all the noise?
There is nothing to fear in the market as the recent pull back is normal and healthy for the system.
Just like oga Wanajo said, oil price is the most important thing in Nigeria, there is no economy policy anywhere.

DF still represents a good value at current price and there is room for more upward movement.
With DF and DS, you will do well if you follow the price of raw sugar and wheat at the international market.

He should just reenter today as the difference between today's closing and his exit N19 will not be too large. Moreover, DS might not totally dry off the floor today unlike what it will look like from Monday.

Some people buy out of emotion and sell out of emotion. It is emotional investing.
