He should just reenter today as the difference between today's closing and his exit N19 will not be too large. Moreover, DS might not totally dry off the floor today unlike what it will look like from Monday.

So what if he buys today and the price retract by next week, will he sell again

pls huz, if i sold a stock that i have e-dividend mandate active on it n buy it again later. Will my e-dividend madate still active for it. kindly reply. thanks.

Please brothers and sisters answer this question o o

Selling all your holdings with a Registrar doesn't mean your record is deleted from the Registrars' system. As a matter of fact, your holdings still appear against your name but with zero units. This is to the best of my knowledge and deductions from my interactions with Registrars. This was my experience with FBN Registrars and Cardinal stone.

That you emptied your account with a bank and the account went dormant doesn't mean the bank deletes your record from their system (something like that cheesy except you close the account)

Do you understand why he bought in the first place

Some people buy out of emotion and sell out of emotion. It is emotional investing.

Hmmnn

If the price can make 10℅ daily for 4 days as it seems likely, he doesn't need to get a mattress and sleep in the stock, but exit with good shortest term profit before the exhaustion of the rally. DS rallies are usually boisterous but short lived.

It all depends into which account you buy into when re-purchasing. If you buy into the the e-mandated account no problem...mandate continues but if your broker opens a new account and buys into it, then you need to do another e-mandate for the new account. Advisable not to completely empty a mandated account. Leave something in it and then re-purchase into it if you prefer the stock again.

Will a Diamond,Transcorp, FCMB et al reversal be as explosive as they were at the start of the year? May be not. Possibly it's the turn of the likes of DF,DS,ETI,Access,UBA et al.

Just thinking aloud.

That reminds me cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy grin grin grin grin

I had an unsual afternoon nap yesterday and had a dream (abi I fell into a Trance deni). ETI ETI ETI was just everywhere. Some sort of commotion or excitement.

Disclaimer: My dreams don't usually come true o and I don't own a unit of ETI.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Toluway: 10:09am On Jan 26, 2018
Thank you all. I sold as a stop loss measure and fear of what happened to me in 2015 from which I recovered recently. I didn't know whether this would be another crash. Once bitten twice shy.

But those who use stop loss use technicals for entry
I thought you entered based on fundamentals?

If pre-market is anything to go by, seems those that bought Diamond at N2.65 got their timing right.

Edit: Pre-market info was so misleading shocked

Yes , fundamentals. But I've just discovered that in Nigerian sem, you can only survive by basing your entry and exit on technical indicators. Get get a stock that is not likely to go under, that's all. The market here is ruled by sentiments and the herds. The hard truth.
