Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by iwuoahsamuels: 6:09pm On Jan 25, 2018
Below are the list of documents I attended my interview with- aka “burden of proof”
mutual benefit statement
Personal savings account
Salary acount statement
Pension statement
1 year payslips
Letter of introduction from employer stating how long I have worked , my destination and that I’d be on paid vacation from the month of travel
Preggy scan
Marriage certificate and court affidavit of change of names
Marriage picture
Budget sheet (attached in previous post)
Tax I’d
Hospital correspondence showing bill(unpaid)
Doc correspondence showing date of first appointment and bill(unpaid)
Correspondence from hotel (unpaid)
Drivers license
Hubby valid visa page datapage

That’s what I can recall, will check and add more when I’m home to check the files, some of those documents may not apply to u or u may not need it but I always believe to be “over-prepared” than miss a thing.

My hospital also charged me 20k for my medical records tho mine was to two hospitals so they printed two letters, same content different addresses. This was the U.S hospitals' requirement for acceptance. Then when one of the hospitals accepted me and it was time 4 my trip, my Naija hospital charged me 30k for updated medical report and fit to fly after so much price hassling with them. So 50k in total. I still paid extra for photocopy oo.( I jst weak)

Private hospitals can do anything they want. 20 n 30k for fit to fly and medical report? People have mind sha. Medical report is free in hospital i have been to

Would you have given birth by March? Note that baby has to be born already before your husband can go for the notary

After you submit,y ou won't see the form again.
Print the confirmation page. It's the Ds 160 confirmation page that is required. There is an option to send to email. You can use that and print from your email.

Very terrible something.
I went to the govt hospital instead. Doc is assuring me I will get it for a token if not totally free, once am ready.
These private clinics are milking people unnecessarily. Even their very own and cordial patients are not spared.

As in eeh.
They are just having "pepper body" that she won't deliver in their place.
They even go as far as trying to discourage people by telling them, they won't be allowed to fly or even let to enter the USA.

I briefly explained my health challenges due to my pregnancy and in my doctor's letter, they are clearly stated there too.I attached the 2 letters from doctors para ti ie the costing and appointment letter (TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN) , my Nigeria Gynae letter and my introduction letter from my office. The column for uploading is not more than 4 spaces. you cant upload more than 4 documents there. So i wasn't able to upload the payment sheet and my enrollment fee receipt i paid to Doctors para ti at El paso

I don't know if i can still re-apply for expedited date.
Please experienced mamas n papas should help me out.
Thanks

If it accepts PDF merge some of the documents and reduce them e.g. if it is only for spaces and you have 8 documents that means 2 in one.

Dear House, I have been an ardent follower of the thread. Thanks for the good work you are doing here. My wife and I intend for her to have our first child in the US. I have read extensively and I have these questions:

It seems most of the hospitals/Drs in the US are inclined towards performing a CS. my wife and I are more inclined towards vaginal birth, all things being equal and we are looking at Oakbend medical centre or Dr. Xydas. Could you please advise, from experience, which of the Houston hospitals/Dr. is favourably disposed to vaginal birth. I know they raise quotes for vaginal birth but I want to ask from people who have actual experience of vaginal birth in the US.

Also, a friend recently delivered in the general hospital, even though all the fees are being paid ( it is relatively cheaper), could this prejudice her while applying for visa in the future?

Why not go outside the airport and get a nice hotel for a cheaper price... Ibis (with breakfast) and premier inn has for about 70-90dollars tops and you can use a free shuttle. That 1 lounge gets full easily and that 90pounds is for only a few hours. I gathered this from online research. So keep an open mind.

I think you may need to pay another fee.....if you applied for expedited once and were denied....to be 100% sure....log into your profile and check if you can still apply. Or call the helpdesk.

Their requirements for medical are very clear:

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-niv-expeditedappointment.asp

Nigerian doctor's letter, U.S. doctor's letter and proof of funding or payment for all medical services (doctor, hospital etc) ....this can be your receipt or bank statement....anything else is extra and may not help your cause...try and stick to what they requested. Employment letter for example is not needed. There is a field where you can type your story and justification but only 3 documents are needed.

All the best.

It is not true that they are more inclined for cs and that virginal birth is more expensive.
Issues are treated on case based.
So reach any Dr. You can get your hands on.

As long as your friend pays all her bills without taking any government aids and have receipts for all payments made she is good to go.

You don't need your office introduction letter, from your case, you only need
1. Appointment letter from Doctors para ti
2. Your Nigeria doctors letter
3. Proof of funding (bank statement and/or payslip)
4. Budget sheet
If you are adding both bank statement and payslip, that makes it 5 documents in all. And there is space for 5 documents there.

Yes, you can re-apply if not approved. I did for my nanny twice, second was approved.

In the space for justification, try and explain yourself very well. Your main reason(s) for requesting for expedited appointment should be detailed including the immigration rules for pregnant mothers and planning time for travel.

Best of luck!
