Please if one is having a newly issued b1/b2 visa on a passport with less than a year validity... Can one renew it here n travel with a valid visa on an expired passport with a new passport or can probably renew it over in the States ? If possible renewing it in the States how does it works

Yes, @the bolded is the correct thing to do, travel with both the expired and new passport....

Okay, fill the form for them both, have their DS160 number and passport numbers handy, then proceed to call this number tomorrow; 014406218 or reach them through Feedback button, it is fixable by them, worry less.

My visa just got approved. Single, no children, no travel history. transcript loading, on my way home. Lady Guinevere, may God embarrass u with unlimited favor that u will even start begging him to stop blessing u.

Oh, okay McKinzie.... Will say the idea I have, others can correct me just in case I'm not getting it right. Just go on the portal, since this is for a family, have a principal applicant amongst them and ADD (as seen on the image from my previous post) each member of the family to his/her profile as people traveling with him/her that needs visa too, then proceed to finally schedule appointment. They all must have their individual DS160 filled out, as well as visa fees paid for each one of them too. Regards

Let me teach you a logic. Stay awake all through the night refreshing the page looking to see anyone that cancels his/her appointment date, most times you will see 2-3 available dates. Goodluck.

I will advise to stick with your old information otherwise you will jeopardize your future chances of getting Us visa. Look for the same conference and apply if possible .

Because you have not chosen the particular consulate you intend to be interviewed at, that is in the course of scheduling appointment anyways. Do that and you will see the dates show up....

It may. But well, well, it's not mandatory you knew that person was in the US at the time you did that previous application even though you have known the person for years. There is an elder cousin of mine in Houston I always thought was in the UK while growing up, another elder cousin in Canada linked us up one of the times I visited Houston, somebody I hadn't seen in over 30 years. So it's possible to suddenly out of the moon to now know someone in the US.

That said, your particular case won't be helped, bluntly. It smacks of desperation jumping "upandan" like this. I really hate when I read Nigerians claim not to know/have anyone in the US. Is that really possible? I'd rather say I have someone/people in the US but have no idea of where (s)he/they is/are resident than "dumbly" do otherwise....

You already have an appointment scheduled, you won't see the dates. It is possible but risky to keep checking for available dates from this your dashboard else you just end up losing your visa fee.

Have a either a dummy profile to check with or check from another person's own if you have access to the account, I use either mine or my wife's, we have never simultaneously had appointment scheduled before.

He has travelled to dubai and ghana with it, he wants to get a new passport now and my question is how do he prove he has travelled out of Nigeria if he answers yes to that question in DS 160 knowing fully well he has answered yes to that question in previous application.thanks

Wow... That's a lot even if they have refund policy because you can't guarantee if you will get the visa or not... What I will advise you to do is if you're sure of your ties and confident go ahead and pay for the conference.

You've chosen a date for your interview that means no available date will display if you want to see your interview date look for appointment information.

Get a police report, attach a photocopy of the dubai and ghana entry/exit stamp...

i wasn't asked during the interview if I know anyone in the us it was only on my ds form I click do not know because I don't have details of my friend address then . I click the conference organiser as point of contact. Now my friend have sent me all his details as in house address, email and status in the us. To use in my second application. He only informed me of his wedding coming up few months back after my first refusal. Can I put his place as where to stay during my visit or I should use an hotel reservation? Thanks OMo!
