Appreciate the response. and the emphatic "no way" on Option 4. grin

Re comment on Option 2. Expiry is Feb 14 12 AM UTC. My understanding is that means, midnight on Feb 13th??
Also, didn't realise I needed to scan the TRF set, though I have the old one sha. And your sentiments on pressure and rush etc is in alignment with madam's thinking.

Re comment on Option 1. Current LOE actually mentions the whole story of writing a new test etc. But thanks for the point about adding evidence of new test being/already written. Makes sense die. Re Current Scores ( L:9, R:9, W: 8.5, S:8.5) Madam's scores are (L:8.5, R:7.5, W: 7.5, S:7.5)

So hoping for more comments o. Cos if its Option 1, na to submit tomorrow be dat na. smiley

happytbaby:
Let me make an attempt.

Option 4 : No way!

Option 3: Possible...but let others weigh in on what I have to say on options 1 & 2

Option 2: Report does not come out earlier than advertised but what if we look at the time zones. Also you will need to scan the TRF and you will not have it yet. Is it Feb 14 that they wrote on your profile or 13 (for expiry of ITA)? Will you be able to open office with British Council staff on the morning of 14th? Although I would not want an 11th hour thing whereby you will be rushing and may experience issues like debit card not working. I hate to be under pressure like that.

Option 1: This is the one I prefer. Submit the expired TRF, submit an LOE stating that you have written another one and will update as soon as result is out. Add evidence that you wrote another one. When the result is released, raise CSE, write an LOE again detailing the issues, recalculate the CRS based on the new scores, apologize profusely, state that your CRS still meets the minimum score for your cut-off and add the new TRF. How many points did your IELTS contribute to Madam's CRS? For your narrative, it looks like 3points, I am thinking that is impossible. Please state your current scores.

Appreciated! Seems that Option 4 is not something that people advise ( even from other examples I've seen) so maybe na to eliminate that angle.

Actually score will likely be 449 once I get the new test results (at least based on belief cool), at least until June when she will drop 5 points for age

ysteph:
If you're sure that your CRS will remain 445 if you add the new IELTS. I'll say decline the ITA.
445 is a high score to receive ITA in this month of February.

Meanwhile, I won't advice that madam declare you as unaccompanying, after adding you as accompanying initially. VO may look into the reason for editing profile and may think its because of the high score.

Let others try.

I pray God directs you on the best possible option to take.

1. Submit application anyway immediately with my expired IELTS test results and update it once the new test result comes out on the 14th of Feb.(I'm fairly confident that I will have reasonable scores) . I have seen on the CIC website that you can update your details even after applying in cases of things like expired results

3. Decline ITA and wait for next favourable draw. Note though that Madam will lose 5 points in June so CRS will now drop from 449 to 445. What if the CRS doesn't fall again. This is also like my least favoured option o. Even my liver is reaching out to "konk" my head for thinking of this?

Hi,

It has to be 1 or 3.... If you're sure she'll remain as high as 445, I'll take 3 and submit as soon as you get the next ITA. If you go with 1 and your application is reviewed before the 14, it may be rejected depending on the VO at CIO .

Goodluck with your decision.

Ok. I thought you were in the pool already. However, I submitted my POF with my personal account and made a Fixed deposit of the exact amount in CAC expected/require fund (The highly fluctuating USD and CAD is scaring the shit out of me embarassed sad). I didn't include my corporate account. For work experience I submitted reference letters from clients (3), contract letters, CAC docs and receipts of payments for job done along with checks (photocopies kept) issued. I am worried about TCC as I don't have that now. I believe that as a Business Enterprise you get your TCC from your state inland revenue service in form of Personal Income Tax Cert. and not FIRS which is for Limited Liability companies. (I stand to be corrected on this...)
From trends so far, I believe my application should either be in CIO Sydney (I prayerfully hope not... undecided) or in LnVO (London Visa Office, God help me!).
In respect of @bigfido and @boss13 experiences, TCC, Business/Corporate SA and pictures are what I left out. Lets see how it goes if I am going to get any ADR for these
I hope other persons applying as Self-Employed learn and obtain valuable info from all these. It will surely end in praise and all to the glory of God.

You will be fine. Dont panic

If he is going with Option 1, he will submit on 12th biko, he will not give them ample time to review yet grin.

Please note that in the placeholder for Education you will need to scan the IELTS TRF, ECA and University certificates for each of you. You must scan Madam's TRF oooo, online results are not enough, you will also have to fill in the result date and TRF number. It is a common reason for cancellation. Make LOE for education first page.

Your scores means that you gave Madam 20 points for IELTS so without yours her score is -20, I believe something is amiss with your calculations. You know book small sha...winks ***

If we go with declining the ITA, its highly probable you will be invited again but I think since Nov 15, ITA has moved towards your range only once, I do not have the energy to confirm but I have specific interest in Nov 15 draw so .....

Hello all,

Silent reader, Active applicant here. smiley

My advice: Decline the ITA. 449 is a good CRS score and I believe you will get another invitation before the end of February.

If your results will expire before you can apply, you should:

- be tested again or
- apply before your test results expire or
- decline the invitation and go back into the pool to be considered in the future.

If you apply for permanent residence with language test results that have expired, we’ll refuse your application.

My business is also registered as a business name but I had a separate account for the business. In your case I don't think it would be a problem as long as you can highlight the monies coming in as business and match them against invoices, receipts, contract agreement etc.

I added two degrees (B.Sc and M.Sc) in my WES application, I am now thinking of withdrawing my B.Sc due to the ongoing NASU strike. My question is:- is it possible to assess only M.Sc and not B.Sc in WES?. My M.Sc was done in the U.K. while my B.Sc was done in Nigeria; will they be any negative implication when applying for PR?; if the answers to my aforementioned questions are yes and no respectively then how do I go about assessing only my M.Sc given that I have created my WES Profile already and paid for assessment for both degrees?

I logged on to Nairaland and my eye caught your comment. This is the similar situation with my hubby. I told him to only evaluate his Msc, Dude went to do both. His second degree is from Ghana while the first is from Nigeria. Because of the issues that has to do with transcript application, the delays and all, He realized it was a mistake registering for both. So he only paid for the Msc and WES acknowledged and all was fine with that, however they need his Btech because that has been showing on his profile.

What did he do?

He simply sent a mail to WES not to wait for Btech and they should only focus on his MSC. Before this time, we had called and called with nobody picking the call.

Fortunately, somebody saw the email and responded.

They removed the BTECH and he did not have to bother with verifying his BTECH.

To answer your question, send a mail to WES via the contact me option. Tell them to only focus on Msc been your highest degree and not wait for the other one.

At this stage, you must have gone ahead to send only your MSC certificates to WES and they should have received it.

They would respond to you and remove the BTECH degree from your profile. They did for my hubby and now his verification is completed.

To add, just like you, my first and second degrees are from Nigeria and UK respectively. With my hubby's mistake, I did not even bother verifying BTECH. I did MSC straight and I have been sorted.

In summary,

Go ahead to verify only your MSC.
When WES has received your MSC document,
Send a mail.
Attach your reference number.
Tell them your plight.
Request them not to wait for your BSC because your MSC is your highest qualification.
That's all.

Remember that, you are paying for a service but you say you do not want the service anymore. WES has to remove it. That's no problem with them. I hope this helps you. Please feel free to contact me here omobyadex@yahoo.com if you need further help.

Perhaps we had this problem just because we needed to help somebody out of it: You! All the best.

Thank you all very much for the comments. Been very helpful.

Based on this, we've decided to decline the ITA.

But trusting God that a) IELTS don't try themselves and give one a disastrous score and b) CRS scores actually drop even lower, not just for us but for everyone on this thread hoping for ITA.

and @happytbaby, you were right re the points from my language scores were actually 20, so her score is now 429. So hoping that we get a Valentine day present of 20 points from IELTS to take us back to 449. cool

Hi,

If your profession is regulated, that means you need to get a professional licence before you practice in Canada then I'll advice you to be patient and assess both of your degrees. Also, if you desire to advance your studies in Canada, then this is another reason why you should assess both of your degrees. This is because WES can permanently store your verified transcripts and certificates in their data base and post it to any institution of your choice when you are ready to use them (saves future stress and cost).

However, if you the think securing your PR quickly is more important and you wouldn't need a professional licence or further studies, then you can withdraw your lower degree from being assessed. As doing this will not affect your PR application.

All the best.

Thank you. . I think I will withdraw my B.Sc application.

Just go back to his profile and take off the educational qualification there. Didn't include any for wify and no placeholder was given. You can then update his qualification under personal history.

Newmum0615:
My people, if I indicated that there was no ECA done for hubby's degrees, biko why am I getting a placeholder to upload the degrees? I did not claim points for it. Can I go back and remove details of his education from his profile or provide an LOE why I can't provide it (MBA cert has not been collected from Unilag)? Hope there won't be an issue?
