Western union is not the best option, because it won't b given to u in foriegn currency, it will be changed to Naira with bank rate of 199 or so for a dollar...better you open a domicilliary account....just get two sureties with current account to sign for u.....give ur aunty ur domicilliary account number ...if she sends the money of will be given to u in that foriegn currency then Aboki will change it for u in black market rate of 360 to one dollar. If you dont want to go through the hassle of upgrading to a domiciliary account then find a 3rd party agent. Your aunt will send the money to them in $ and they will credit your account here in =N= equivalent. They'll only charge you a tiny percentage.

it's different from savings acc. just walk into any bank, me I use GTB but preferably use the bank u have a savings acc with, go to the costumer care for information on how to open a domicilliary account. You will be issued a form with spaces for two referees to attest on, they must have an active current account with the bank, not a salary current account. After all said n done, you'll now have a current acc (new), domicilliary account (new) with your present savings acc. Grab the opportunity of owning a current and a domicilliary account but getting 2 referees can be stressful....I can help u out with one just scan n send to me. I hope its not for fraudulent purpose o.

Sonia since you have school I.D just goto bank that you are using or familiar in the campus to collected the money ....just tell her to send it through western Union money transfer and give her your name and address as it was writien on your school ID and once she send it , you we ask her for MTCN and any security question or answer if she add it that's all dear and when you get to bank goto western Union section fill it and collect ur money very easy ok

The fact that I don’t know a basic doesn’t mean I am stupid. I believe there are some basics you don’t know too. I have not had any reason to collect money from “abroad” so it kind of justifies my not knowing.
So stop this mentality. You could have explained it the way the others explained it to the girl. Age doesn’t define learning

If you are exporting phones to 9ja officially, you can collect 20% VAT back from UK custom service. But that is bureaucratic rigmarole most will not go through if sending one or a few phones to relatives in 9ja. Even top grade used phones are not cheap.

If you want to know, compare prices on Jumia or Konga in 9ja with a popular UK phone shop like www.carphonewarehouse.com or shopping store like www.argos.com
Also check ebay online to compare prices of both old and used ones, with the caveat that many products on ebay are not original/genuine products.

With all these info you might better appreciate gifts you receive from abroad.

You can also use your bvn as a means of identification . Just ask your bank to print your bvn form...

Or better still why not contact your bank and make enquires ? Sending and receiving money via WU or MG doesn’t take more than 5mins .
