Maybe your nose is blocked due to harmattan, but its normal that you can't smell it since you have been in the room for long is your nose is already used to the smell....

Next time when you have sex make sure you spray the room with air freshener and open the windows. It shouldn't smell in a well-ventilated room but it seems the opposite is your case.
