I wouldn't know much about hotel accommodation price but i hear most are fully bookd thru d weekend because benin is a transit city. There are hotels in and around d test venue if u choose not to stay at d venue (protea hotel). I really won't b able to give u a price range because i have no idea but trust me getting one to stay in wont b an issue.

Good morning peeps,
please anyone with IQAS valid email address or phone number...and how long do they acknowledge transcripts sent to them ,because my docs was delivered on the 31/1/2018..no acknowledgment mail from them..please help a frd

lbr.iqas@gov.ab.ca
It takes about 4 weeks or more. My wife's own took 4 weeks & 3 days.
Considering your transcript was just delivered on 31/01/2018, the road is still far o.
You can start sending them emails from 3-4 weeks from the date your transcript was delivered.

Good morning people, I have been thinking about how the bank will calculate the average monthly balance for the last 6 months.

Are they going to use the balance of

(End balance month 1+ end balance of month 2+ end bal of month 3+end balance of month 4+end bal of month 5+end bal of month 6)/6 or how do they calculate it?

Secondly, what exactly is CIC looking out for with the average month end balance and the current balance on the account?

Basically, what could mean a red flag the CIC required POF letter is received from my bankers?

Thanks for your responses

Your score is very good nah. Next draw and you should be in. @kmgb congrats.
I'm so excited to note a lot of vocal people (minus the observers oh) seemed to have aced ielts this time. This is quite refreshing from the last time. Congrats to all again. Good luck to the guys writing soon.

@wes I thank you for delivering on your promise to finish my evaluation today. To those still hanging on due to the strike, verily I declare 'this too shall pass'
Thank you.I just hope I am drawn next.

Long Post Alert

This is officially my first post on this platform. I have been a silent Reader and have also gained immensely from the plethora of questions and subsequent answers provided. You’re all wonderful‼!

If only our Country (Nigeria) could emulate the brotherhood/sisterhood deeds being exhibited here, I’m very sure this country will be very far ahead of where it is right now and we wouldn’t be so keen on seeking ways to escape this hell hole we found ourselves.

It is my expectation that everyone who has begun this process will achieve the ultimate Goal‼!

Firstly, let me say a big CONGRATULATION to everyone who recently aced their IELTS. Know that the journey continues with the next phase (i.e. aiming for ITA). For those who didn’t get their desired result, I empathize with you & I can’t imagine your pain & disappointments. All I can say to you is NEVER GIVE UP. A little more effort & you shall overcome the hurdle of IELTS.

Soon I will document my humble advise/tips on how I passed my IELTS in my first attempt to help those finding it hard doing so‼!

 My Question

I wish to claim points with my step-sister who is a Canadian citizen and I need your advice on how to go about it…
Though I know the required documents to provide, in fact my step-sister has sent hers to me:

1. Citizenship Certificate (to show Canadian citizenship)
2. Utility bill (to show current residency in Canada)
3. Birth Certificate (to show our relationship).

*Herein lies my concern & question;

For those who have claimed points for sibling in Canada & have also successfully applied & gotten their PPR, how did you use the Birth Certificate to prove this relationship?

I’m asking because the birth certificate of my step-sister shares the same surname as mine, but neither her certificate nor mine, carries the first name of our shared parent (i.e. our Dad).

I want to know if these birth certificates (with just the same surname) would be good enough to prove our relationship or you provided additional documents to aid your application.

*I really need opinions/answers from everyone, most especially those who have successfully claimed points for Sibling(s) in Canada*

I'm guessing she's your half sibling. Is it just your Dad's first name or his name altogether that isn't on the certificate? You can both do a declaration of age at NPC and that will contain the names of the parents.

Please what is the best way of paying for this IETLS exam. I was at GTB today to pay to do a transfer to Standard chartered as described in my confirmation email using my reference code but the bank says that the account number is wrong. And i used the 6 digits provided with my month code and last 2 digits of my passport as account number. Please i need to make this payment

The Best bank for online transfer is Diamond Bank, you won't have that incorrect account number issue, I've tried using GTbank before but the error message "incorrect account number" kept popping up.

Different banks have different ways of calculating the 6months average balance. The most common i guess is what you illustrated in your post.

To answer you second, what they are on the look out for here is a sharp increase in month on month balance with explanation. If the end balance of month 1 is 500 and month 2 is 3000. You should explain where the sharp increase comes from. This is where gift deeds etc comes in.

What i heard is that your 6months average balance shouldn't be too from your PoF. It can also surpasss it.

No matter at what stage you get the fund for your PoF, there are different approaches you can use to assure CIC of the genuineness of your claims.

Why using an assessment lawyer when you can DIY

ashiwajew:
Guys, i am already simulating my scores but i am not near 400 yet, whereas my assessment lawyer says 413. May be someone should just try to explainn what my score could be using this and suggest what i need to score in IETLS. I am 28 yrs, i am applying alone, a bachelor of science graduate in Nigeria, 2 years work experience in Nigeria, no relative in Canada, no work experience in Canada and i cannot speak French

But if your funds are in Tbills, the bolded won't matter. Your average balance will not necessarily be regular.

She's not your step sister but your half sister since you share a biological parent

I would suggest adding a letter from your dad explaining he's both your dad

Hello house.

I already have my WES evaluation and IELTS, even with all the documents that will be required post-ITA (References and POF).

My worry is that my partner is due to give birth this month and I am contemplating whether to start my EE profile immediately or wait till we welcome the baby.

My CRS score is 461.

Waiting for your responses pls

Your unborn baby has no bearing on your EE profile. You don't even fill your child/ children's details until after ITA so you better dive in.

Thanks. I just tried it again on my GTB mobile app and after inputting my personalized account number it popped up The British Council as account name. So my question is how do i quote my reference number and co
