obioraeji: Just forget about studying with German, if you are going for Msc. don't try it. And getting the DSH certificate takes a minimum of 6 months in Germany, assuming you already have a B1 or B2 from Nigeria. |

Hey Bro I can only imagine what you went through at the embassy gate, i have been in such situation when I also went for my interview sometime last year. As I was reading through your write up everything I experienced that same day came alive. That almighty Mr Paulinus, na only Baba God go judge am cos the man has made a lot of people go through hell. Even those who finally made it into the embassy premises would have forgotten most of what they have rehearsed in preparation for the interview by the time they face the interviewer all because of almighty Paulinus. The man knowingly or unknowingly would have contributed successfully to a lot of people's visa rejection due to the poor performance made on their interview. I also want to use this medium to make a plea to everyone in the house, let's all make a clarion call against this almighty Paulinus that has brought so many misfortunes to most nigerians seeking for a German visa at the German Consulate General, Lagos Nigeria. Thank you all. |

SenR: No be small thing oo. That man has made a lot of people lost a lifetime opportunity by not allowing them into the embassy premises so they could have their interview, just because of silly and unnecessary reasons. If he had finally denied me access, I just can't imagine what I'll be saying or thinking by now. Just imagine what Mr. Paulinus (a Nigerian) is doing to his fellow Nigerians. Sometimes I wonder what is his gain/profit in trying to be over tough with pple, at the end denying them some good rights/opportunities. Let's show love to one another because we are fellow countrymen. OneNigeria UnitedWeStand 1 Like |

SenR: Mr Paulinius is not doing anything wrong rather,He does the screening so as to reduce stress for the consulars. If you arrange yourself very well,You won't have issues with him. Imagine when you have appointment for 7 am and you arrived 7 30 am begging him to let you go inside..He also know the appropriate documents for all visas. 1 Like |

Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Nobody: 7:31am On Feb 05, 2018 |
Godson201333:you are right. if you have the required documents and their number of copies and arrive at the venue on time and also adhere to his instructions and overlook his rants, you wouldn't have problems. why would someone come to an interview with cellphones and later you would be running upandan on where to drop it. I left mine at home and switched it off. Not having my phone for at least 4hrs would not kill me for a very important dream I am chasing. Even if you heard that visa fee is N28k please don't go with exactly 28k, go with extra money too, it is still your MONEY if the amount didn't pass 28k. People should get FOLDERS/BIG ENVELOPS and put their documents and avoid carrying bags or back-pack bags. I had a leather folder which I used to arrange my docs neatly during mine.People are the cause of the problems at the embassy and they would blame it on PAULINUS. Yes he rants arrogantly but that is well enough for everyone to adequately prepare one's self before going to the interview/venue 3 Likes |
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Immafrank: 7:57am On Feb 05, 2018 |
facelessBeing: Cellphones are not problem. you can come with 7 if you like but the bag is the problem. Talking of Paulinus, anyways the only problem I had with him was the bag issue, nothing else but the way he was treating other ppl, older ppl was uncalled for. Shouting at them even when not necessary puts pressure and increases tension in them. you can do your job strictly without doing none of that!! 5 Likes |

Immafrank: Brother do not let that bother you,It is part of strategy,If you aren't bold enough then you cannot face success.(I have seen people who went back home angrily cos they thought they were too big to obey Mr Paulinus, If someone really want to pursue german goal then would obey the Mr Paulinus. Infact back then, we use to call him 'First Consular' because without his authorisation,No visA for you which means no Germany for you.).He once sent the likes of Kcee and top managers away in front of me.When you get to Germany someday, you get to understand that Germany is very strict and might sound rude because we Nigerians love nepotism. 1 Like |

Germanyinabit: I can see that you need an urgent answer. You just have to exercise some little patience because family reunion visa get processed directly from Germany since you are a prospective Permanent stay status holder of Germany. The issue of Asylum seekers really make things slow since last year because short of Staffs working with the Foreign offices.Just calm down and they will surely get back to you. 1 Like |

Godson201333: We all do know that Mr Paulinus is doing is job so well no doubt with all jealousy, but there should be some level of humane attitude in carryout his duties. Do you know what a lot of people have been through just because of this man's inhumane attitude? A lot of people go through hell, through the process of applying for a visa and getting an appointment, some even come from as far as just for the interview. Only for them to be sent away by Mr Paulinus due to one flimsy reason disregarding the fact that a lot of resources like finance, time etc would have been invested into it. Do you know how disappointing it can be and the psychological trauma those people would have gone through. My brother just because it dint happen to you does not mean you should speak without putting yourself in the shoes of those it happened to just as I am doing. I went for my interview, came out succesfully and am already in Germany. But my thoughts are with those whom have been through all I have pointed out here. I lost count of how many people Mr Paulinus sent back due to flimsy reasons on the day of my interview. I felt bad for one guy I met while on the queue who told me his life and that of his parents depends so much on his interview only if he had known he would be sent back just because his visa fee was short of #500 which I obliged to help out but he Paulinus vehemently refused even with all the plea he gave a dead ear and sent the poor guy away. Just count yourself lucky for not to have experienced this, cos my brother you don't know the stigma, pains and psychological disorder that comes with rejection. michlan: There is a checklist for student visa, I would advise you follow the instructions on it careful. Make copies as instructed and extras just incase, in my own case I made an extra copy each as against the normal two. It depends on the time the lady is scheduled to have her interview. If it's 7am, I won't advise her to go too far away from the venue due to the heavy traffic in Lagos. There is a small hotel that is cheap around 8k per night close to Walter Carrington. It's a 10-20mins walk to the embassy or you can just take danfo and stop at Walter Carrington junction. 3 Likes |
