Time for the youths to take over indeed. the youths have always failed us if giving the opportunity to serve

How old is Bello?

Is he not a youth like so many others at the LGA upward

I hope that should be his father's land or his own personal land. And if that is not from his community I sincerely pray the community should fight for their land now that the'll have supporters than latter.

How can he or his father have 15,000 hectares?
Have you seen his personal income tax returns

Nice one.

Years to come some people would claim to have been marginalised.

They are too blind with ethnic hatred and bigotry to appreciate and therefore key into the venture which would add economic value to their state along with additional job opportunities for the youths down the value chains.
I hope the president quickly goes ahead and implements the program leaving out the ignorant ones rejecting now out of spite and hatred to later have no reason cry marginalisation but only regret for their lack of foresight.

A good effort on Kogi state's part, I think it is a business and state decision on allocating land for such project. It is a smart move. It ensures meat accessibility and if done rightly affordability in that state; but knowing Nigeria, complex issues or puzzle issues are an uphill task; this is not even those types of issue, it is more like an organizational issue. As for the govt, they could have done a better deal with neighboring countries especially niger, chad, and car. Our land availability does not pass the mathematical test.

The FG should silently do deals close to the border with neighboring countries and pay health officials and invest in proven technologies to ensure healthy food come through the border.

They(we) are acting as if we are on a suspended see through glass bridge.

There is no greater sycophant who seek the President's favour than the governor of Kogi State.

*He declared a public holiday when the president returned to the country from London where he went to treat himself when even Katsina state where the president came from and the federal government the President heads didn't.
*He was one of the governors who went to tell the President to contest for second term while Benue was burying over seventy victims of Fulani killings.
*He is now giving his state out to cattles so that cattles can colonise Kogi people.

Well,so much for a young governor. Yahaya Bello, una well done.

My brother let's not deceive ourselves. The younger generations are worse. I have to sadly agree with IBB (one of the worsts exponents ever) that the youth do not have what it takes to rule.

Look, the current corrupt and ineffectual leaders were raised by strict parents, by European teachers and European military instructors during colonial time. Yet they turned out like this. Now imagine the younger ones that were breastfed and reared on corruption: children of corrupt civil servants and police officers, bribed their way through WAEC exams, university admission and education. How do you expect them to turn out?
In terms of indolence, sycophancy, greed and love of beautiful things, the younger generations are largely worse. Remember Dimeji Bankole and Salisu Buhari, both of house of rep. How both messed up big time.

Only occasionally you see good individuals.

We're in a pickle my friend.

What do you expect. Yahaya Bello knows that the Igalas and Okuns in the state will never vote him for another tenure and Ebira votes cannot make him governor again. ....so he wants Buhari to rig the election in his favour, but this is his mistake. He will still loose.

Bluffly:
Middle belt people are senseless. Core northern state has not announced cattle colony but some mumu in the middle region are declaring.

Abeg don't drag all the middlebelt people into the stupidity of Egbirra people. Can't you see that the Igalas and Okuns in Kogi state rejected it?

Ebiras are predominantly muslims and majority have sold themselves to Hausa fulani in the name of islam.

Also, this by mistake Egbirra governor is doing all he can to win Buhari's heart so that they can rig the next Kogi election for him to assume 2nd tenure, cos he sure knows that the Igalas and okuns hate him and will never vote him for another tenure.

Go and post any campaign picture of this governor in any part of Kogi east (Igala land) and watch Igala youths lynch you to death.

Should we all tag all Igbos as senseless because of the stupidity and sycophancy of Rochas?

Good. Keep your fulani terrorists in the north!

Don't forget that Kogi shares direct boundary with Igbo land and many other Southern states.
The fulanis can definitely use this place as a launch and conference center to attack neighbouring Southern states, just as they used Odekpe town in neighbouring Kogi state to converge and attack Enugu. You never can tell.

In 5-6 years, Fulani will begin slaughtering of local village people and launch their expansionist agenda using cattles to destroy farmland in order to expand into other areas. They will be armed by Nigerian security agents and their population inside those colonies will surpass the villages. Everyone in those villages now will run for dear life and abandon their land and farms to Fulani.

Then this yeye Governor would have retired and be one of those saying "I regret my actions" as if that will bring back the lives of the people killed nor get back their land.

What good will come out of giving out your land for cattle colony?
There are farmers who need land to plant crops. There are other industrialists begging for land to invest. BTW, these industries will pay taxes as well as employ youths.
Of what use is cattle colony?

Thank God he even cut the land from Ebira people, maybe it's a ploy to lure in the fulani and finish them off, cos Ebira boys..... shocked shocked

No one is seeing it. Bello knows he's never coming back, in fact his prison uniform is set, and if he must beat that he needs Buhari to win and maybe reward him with a ministerial or ambassadorial appointment to help him escape justice.

It's sad that leaders in this country still have a 1970 software for brains. Why are state governments not partnering or supporting individuals in terms of research in improved feeding, breed selection for cattle rearing to curb this herdsmen menace?. Isn't it even shocking that there is no single dairy farm in the country called "giant of Africa "? .

leaders with sound minds would have seen this as an opportunity to improve on this aspect of agriculture but instead they allow sentiments and tribalism to becloud their business sense and general good of the nation. This is not only shameful but will be disastrous in the end.

I fear for this nation as our mind set will continuously over ride our ability to think forward and this will make us keep taking two steps forward and ten steps backward.

In 2018 where countries are improving on cattle breeds to derive maximum yield and increase production, we are still talking about cattle colonies for herdsmen, SMH
