Good morning. Please I requested for a reference letter from first bank to contain average balance over the past 6 months as well as closing balance, but they said all I can get is the letter stating when it was opened without the average balance nor closing balance. They say that that’s what they giving me the statement for.

Please I would like to know if there’s anything I can do or if the big of them would suffice.

Would really appreciate responses. Thanks

Some bank's don't give the letter in CIC's format. With your Statement of Account you are good to go even without any letter from the bank. Your SOA is cool. But for your peace of mind you can attach LOE saying your bank didn't give you the required letter. All the best.

First bank gives reference letters in CIC format. Just try ginger .For me, I simply took my brother's own to the bank to show them it's possible. Shekinah. Case closed.

Oh thanks can you please give me the contact of the person in records. I have an admission deadline that's why.

I am sure they would have received the notification in records so you actually don't need to go physically for that. I actually followed up on mine with someone in records to get it done quickly. You should do same.

Good morning everyone,

Please if my POF is 4.5M and I got a deposit of 500k about 4 months before submitting my application, do I need to do LOE for it or that is not considered a bulk deposit?

Top of the morning to you guys.

As I await my excellent IELTS results, am thinking of post ITA related matters already. Hence, I need the below clarification.

Regarding Gift Deed, for instance, if I my sister is gifting me some funds, do I have to submit her bank statement or just the receipt of the transfer of the funds she's giving me? Then, do I have to show that we are siblings (by submitting her Birth Certificate) cos she uses her married name now as against the surname we share?

Also, does IRCC investigate the capacity of the person gifting the funds to confirm if that person has the capacity to do so or not?

Lastly, can anyone other than my family execute a gift deed in my favour. Let's say, colleagues, friends, boss, etc?

Thanks

Anybody can gift you . All you need to submit is the gift deed and receipt of transfer of the funds. Nothing more . There's nothing like investigation of the person's capacity or his/her relationship to you

For me, fire down. You're good to go without LOE . However, if it'll make you sleep well at night, then attach LOE.

I travelled to Vienna, Austria last year. At the airport, my passport was not stamped, I think due to technology advancement. When I was returning, my passport was not stamped again just because I used my boarding pass and passport to pass through the barriers and other processes.

On getting to Switzerland to take my connecting flight, the immigration officer checked my passport and asked why it was not stamped, I said I don't know. He stamped it and I moved on.

In my travel history, I mentioned that have been to Austria but no passport stamp to show for it. And don't forget that it was a Schengen visa and I can't see anywhere 'Austria' was written on the visa despite the fact that it was issued by Austrian Embassy.

How do I prove that I have been to Austria?

Hello good people,
Trust you are all doing well. I was wondering if anyone could help a friend put her mind at rest by answering this question.
Her passport was issued in London and one of the questions while filling the EE profile form is country of Issue. I imagined the country of Issue would be London, England/UK but the options are quite different than she hoped. Can you please tell me which of the options applies to her. The picture of the options is attached. Many Thanks.

Err, Country of issue should be Nigeria (assuming she is applying with a Nigerian Passport). It doesn't matter if it was printed in the UK, or if the part on the passport that states 'Authority" is England/UK. Its Nigeria that issued the passport #my2cents

Good evening my people. Our able seniors in the house, pls I'm in a situation that is not in anyway clear to me right now. It has to do with dependent children's eligible age.
I have a step daughter who's 23yrs old, a fresh university graduate, waiting to go for NYSC soon. Now my dilemma; I understand that she doesn't qualify to be included in our application as the age limit for a dependent child is set at 22 by CIC, now my concern is do we put her name any where on the application? If we do, is she going to do medicals and PCC? Is the POF supposed to cover her considering that she's not a dependant? NB: I have put in for student visa application before and she was listed as dependent child(2013), though the visa application was denied. Pls my people, help me torchlight the matter. Thanks in anticipation of your responses

Good day guys. Kindly respond to this. Really crucial as I am awaiting ITA hopefully by the next draw. Thanks and God bless you all.

You can try to merge your ticket/boarding pass to Austria with the pages of your passport. Maybe include it in your LOE for peace of mind.

I am not sure you need it. 500k is just a small fraction of your POF and again 4 months is a good enough time. If you are getting a letter in CIC format, all your worry would be needless as it would not be obvious on the letter. But if you it would give you peace of mind, write an LOE ([s]cos I know you will still write it after all these our responses[/s]).

Hey guys, been a lil bit worried and contemplating on some decisions. As for my profile, i have an overall band of 8.0... Speaking 8.5, Listening 7.5, writing 8.0 and reading 7.5. I have a Masters and am currently 30yrs of age. The issue i have at the moment is that during my work experience, i didnt really receive payslips but direct salary pay.
Please whats the best advice you can give at this moment? I calculated my CRS and it is about 412.

Lol. You're a case.
In addition to that, it depends on your previous transactions. Will 500k stand out as a huge sum in your incoming and outgoing transactions?

I would suggest you retake the IELTS and get a minimum of 8 in listening...
Your issue is not even an issue as Payslips are not mandatory. However if requested you can print out your bank statement and highlight your salary deposits.
Goodluck

Payslip is not a compulsory document. Some people only submit the work reference letter and still get PRR so don't panic. If they send ADR for it you can submit your bank statements showing the deposit of your salary.

Hello sweethearts,

Please I have 2 questions:

1) I didn’t realise I needed a US PCC cos I’ve never lived there only visited (but cumulatively over 6 months). I’ve submitted my application and they’ve asked me to fill an additional travel history form, they didn’t ask for the PCC but I’m working on it and it should be ready by tomorrow (Amen). Question is can I merge it into my travel history document as there’s only travel history placeholder open on my app atm?

2) my deadline to submit travel history is 16/02/2018. No time. Does this mean I have till the end of the 16th, UTC time?

Thank you very much for your responses in advance.

The meaning of "lump sum" varies from one individual to another. For example, if Mr A who has an average monthly inflow of N30,000 received a deposit of N350,000 last month , the N350,000 is a lump sum whereas if Mr B who has an average monthly inflow of N450,000 received a deposit of N500,000 last month, the N500,000 is not a lump sum.

I hope that the above answers your question. smiley
