I guess it depends largely on people's expectations. The past month's bulls were quite crazy, and just when you think it has peaked out, it yet surges. Then you hear of people mentioning their 50-200% gains in one month. So you jump in for fear of missing out, with the modest hope of making at least 50% before a reversal. For a start, You could have put in just 20% of the funds to be invested, and do what Pa Emma refers to as cost averaging, but you figured "the more, the merrier". As it turned out your entry point marked the market's crest. At some point during the pull back, you decided to average down with whatever funds you had left, but even the support you were counting on got broken.

More than picking the right stocks, TIMING your entry and exit rightly is what I consider most important in this market.

This forum like every other forum i belong to is very resourceful and filled with gurus of different temperaments.

We (including me) should learn to accommodate ourselves and all information we hear with an open heart.

I have learnt alot this past 2weeks than i might learn in my lifetime of trading stocks so i can say this particular bear is a blessing to me.

When you plan a trade and it fails, just learn how to perfect the trade next time and move on. Afterall, you have not made a loss or profit except you buy or sell.
