Acidosis:
You need to change your bank.

I was at GTBank, Oba Akran Ikeja sometime last year to indicate my interest for Tbills for that week, and the mu.mu banker told me "I can only do Tbills at my branch". The shocker I got as a response left me dumbfounded for minutes. Well, my branch isn't faraway so I proceeded to Berger. That was where I finally realized the fact that GTB is a very useless piece of crap. It's been 4 months and I am still trying to get over the greatest shocker I got from the guy in charge of Tbills for that branch.

Well, I didn't even argued.. I simply proceeded to the first floor and transfered my small money to the One Customer Bank (Sterling Bank), and I've since then done two Tbills with them without stress, and of course, without regrets.

Those guys at GTB have been trained to lie to customers

Never again will I go to GTBank to make any inquiry, and I will strongly advise you to take that path. I am not advertising for Sterling bank, but I must confess, the bank stands out from others when it comes to service and willingness to attend to customer needs. One of their staff even volunteered to help fix my affidavit (I had an issue with my BVN name), and she did! In my presence, she called the delivery man, gave him the details, and in 24 hours, it was fixed.
if you're not advertising for sterling bank then what do you actually think youre doing? I want to know

May just be higher sir. Yesterday's OMO were not bought at all, investors ditched one, and the other was under subscribed, and eventually unsold.

Stock market this morning is witnessed a huge growth in transaction volumes. So let's see what happens.

That's exactly what will bring the stop rates down.
We shall see the outcome on the next 1hr

This leads me to ask a question i have been meaning to ask before.... if i were to purchase from secondary market during the week which a primary auction is billed to hold, when is the more strategic time to buy - the days before or after the pry market auction?

It's like having a "draw" except for the 91days tenor that depriciated below the 12% mark.

So there's no cause for me to be off the thread for a week as promised. grin grin grin

I honestly would have barred myself for a week if the rates had gone up as promised because all the indices I saw were that it would drop but I think the banks rescued the situation by bidding higher and the over subscription that happened at the 1st auction appears to be fading away especially in the 91 & 182-day tenors while that of the 364days tenor is also fast reducing.

However, it's good for investors.

At NTB auction today, CBN offered N6bn, N30bn and N140bn of the 91-day, 182-day and 364-day bills at respective stop rates of 11.95%, 13.65% and 13.70%. While the stop rates of the 182-day and 364-day bills remained unchanged, the stop rate of the 91-day bills was 5bps lower than the last auction.

If i bidded less than 11% for 91 days , is that what i will get or the stop rate 11.95%?

You will get the rate you bidded for and not stop rate.

Anyone with the US Fed's decision on rates?
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Timmi: 2:13am On Feb 15, 2018
Federal reserve decision and note from the last meeting of January 31, 2018:
In view of realized and expected labor market conditions and inflation, the Committee decided to maintain the target range for the federal funds rate at 1-1/4 to 1‑1/2 percent. The stance of monetary policy remains accommodative, thereby supporting strong labor market conditions and a sustained return to 2 percent inflation

Thanks. I thought they were to meet on Feb 14, or perhaps it's the labor report that was to be released. Anyways, thanks again.
