N240,000/m salary is not easy to come about in Nigeria, if you are sure of getting good job after your Master Program in UK you can go. But if you are not, get your Master Degree here and continue your current job. Don't leave your current job for Master Degree and come back to join Job seekers.

Does you job guarantee a good career progress. If you cannot see how your current work environment will make you better from your job experiences in the future, then go for the Master degree.

If your company is well known and has a track record you can put down in coming years to take you further, stick with it.

Better work experience with Chevron, than a UK masters. Something like that.

My brother, am not so familiar with chevening scholarship in the UK but i will advise to you get your fact very well. We have millions of Masters graduate on the street looking for 80k job.

Leave for the masters,if your results are good,you'd get a better offer.

It's a UK masters. Take the job, if it was the USA or Canada I would have advised you to go but a UK masters is worthless in Nigeria.

wit a 240k job he can afford a vacation in the UK if he desires and afford a comfortable life in Nigeria and do a postgraduate program in a Nigeria school if he desires...

my cousin earned more than that before he got the chevening scholarship 2 years ago, now he's in a far better place

I really wonder what is wrong with this country self. Some people are looking for jobs while some dnt appreciate what they have.. Let me be frank with you OP,having a masters degree is gud in fact perfect but nothing beats work experience.
Go to UK and have a master and at the end of the day you start looking for job on the street maybe then you will appreciate the work you once had.
If You knw,that you dnt have somebody that knws somebody somewhere, beta just stay with your job

I work in the industry so I speak from experience. Please take the Chevening scholarship. Before your graduation there are campus recruitment summits where companies like Shell, Schlumberger come to pick talents. You are 85% sure of getting a good job with the UK degree. While doing my Masters I knew a chevening scholar (same school), he got a job with Statoil on graduation. Please take the chevening scholarship. Don't think twice. Congrats
